We had so much fun with the PMG in FaWTL and in chat. I had no idea that he wasn't well, and am very saddened at his loss. My thoughts go out to his family. Does anyone still have a file of the artwork that Hugo made for him?

Puc-Lee is silent as his eyes and ears scan the surrounding area ever alert here despite the ungainly burden he carries along.

It is fortunate our journey is a short one here...the bodies has not had time to decay yet...

Once the party has arrived at the elf dhampier's home Puc-Lee slowly and reverently lays the corpse of the young man who gave his life previously in the defense of his home Willowshore. Muttering a short prayer here (which actually sounded more like an apology here) he nods in thanks to Amila's offer. "You do me great honor yet all I require is a fish sausage or two." Before he accepts the food he bends down to pick up a couple of small round pebbles and, after washing the dirt off of them, swallows each one! He then pulls up a couple of young bamboo shoots from outside and chews them quickly before swallowing them down. Only then does he gratefully accept the offered food. "For aiding my digestion," he replies to the curious looks from the others.

As the others begin to partake of the breakfast Puc-Lee glances around him, "This is not right. Even now there should be others who are performing their duties. We must find where they have fled to."

I figured a Tengu's stomach is similar to a bird's one which is why he ate the pebbles, to help digest the food he swallows. I didn't see any official materiel on what tengu diet is so I extrapolated a little here :)

As the centipedes move to attack here Puc-Lee pauses briefly, contemplating the actions of the mindless vermin - even after the loss of two of its companions, the third one presses on with its agression.

Very odd behavior indeed......and when the vermin...speaks here, the monk felt an unusual sensation here -even for him...

Fear.

Sprinting around the battlefield he lays into the remaining centipede with the end of his walking stick! He then slips into a combat stance, almost without thinking of it.

The lone figure sits hunched over at the river bank, a long pole dangling off to one side, and turns to gaze off towards the setting sun.

It seems as if the fish are not finding the taste of my worms to their liking...I may need to dip into my dried fish again... Pucle sighs softly. A rustling off to one side draws his attention, and his gaze shifts slightly. His sharp vision picks out the lone figure gathering the firewood for the other townsfolk.

Right on time I see. Much as the rising moon, he moves with...purpose. He nods his head slightly in greetings to the odd-gaited man before the tengu briefly shivers, thankful for his feathery skin here.

Perhaps another long winter awaits, he ponders, though many see the ill, I see...something else. I wonder if the Sneakerz shares these thoughts.... A movement from his pole catches his eye and he smoothly lays a clawed hand on the pole, waiting for the telltale sign of a strike...but it does not repeat.

He slowly rises to his feet preparing to draw in his fishing line and turns to see the man is gone. Ahh, he will return here...as will I.

Okay Tchokuqo Pucle "Puc-Lee"(rhymes with Bruce Lee) is coming along nicely here. Tengu monk specializing in the Dragon Stance. He will start with the Outskirt Dwelling Background. Heritage feat is MountainKeeper Tengu which should come in handy methinks. It allows the casting of the Disrupt Undead cantrip he he.

GM Ladile: Since Puc-Lee is starting with the Outskirt Dwelling background I was thinking of having him dwell near the Fisheries (W22) on the west bank of the Duyue River (north of Area 24). Let me know if that works for you!

By the way, any equipment suggestions are more than welcome here.

OK I think I see what you are doing here...in the interest of moving this along I am handwaving the torture/degrading of your two prisoners here.

THE NEXT DAY

The remainder of the day passes quickly as you all manage to enjoy the pleasures of dealing with your prisoners. As the next day dawns you are greeted by the most unwelcome sight of Sword Knight Allamar sitting in the front lobby of the Jail, a plate of cooked food in front of her, ass she is berating one of the town guards for not allowing here to visit her sons. While this is indeed nice to see your guards are indeed enforcing your will here, you are deprived of dealing with Allamar by the sudden presence of a whispering wind spell, which soon announces you are hereby summoned to see Razelago at his Ash House office...IMMEDIATELY.

Hurriyng off to the Ash House you see as it no longer needs to disguise itself, Razelago has removed the folding screens, but the krenshar Gaurig continues to serve as his bodyguard, standing ready to defend its master.

As you finish gathering here Razelago waits patiently and once ready it begins in a slow, shrill voice, "I have called you here because the Archbaron is...concerned. Every day more of Longacre’s citizens turn to the rebel cause—not because they’re afraid, but because they haven’t been given enough reason to fear. To that end, Lord Fex wants you to make an example of someone. Take a known rebel, drag him into the town square, pronounce his crimes, and publicly execute him. The archbaron’s men will erect a scaffold or any other simple structure you require. Do this, and show the people the price of treason.” The devil then pauses here, awaiting your response.

Aurelius manages to grab the edge of the floor with a prodigious show of strength! (You will be able to get to your feet next round). Fellzir waves off Octavonius ' offer of assistance, instead preparing to heal his comrades even as Amala struggles to hit her elusive target.

Hallidan feels strange...as if he can longer trust his own abilities here. It seems as if a malaise has infested his soul here!

I think we managed to deal with the FEAR component of the storm here, but there are still three more to go, if I understand this correctly? Not sure if further rolls are needed or not ;)

Wadi nods in greetings to the weaver as he looks over the styles with an appraising look in his eyes. "These robes you have woven...I have seen such intricacies used before for the costumes worn by a fellow troupe, in one of my more recent productions. Works for me Viper. I assume Orpheus is targeting the Valkyrie.

Jester shakes his head at the antics of Angel here, though he had to admit they were quite effective. Not usually piloting a jumping 'mech he still well knew the devastation a DFA attack could be!

Tying into the targetting systems of Orpheus he paints the APC and checks to be sure the Cluster rounds are selected As he walks forward into view he glances around just to make sure no surprises awaited the lance before he opens fire.

Walk 6 hexes. LB 10-X/AC, Short (C3), walk, Cover: TN 5: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3 Missed...Crap.

Heat: 2+3(walk)+2(LB 10x)-10-3 = 0

Thinking quickly he decides to perform a subterfuge here. Before the goblin lass binds his hands he surreptiously slips a vial into one of his hands. "Dis do da trick against the bonds! Mogmurch play smarteer...not hardeer!"

Vanguard Ward:
While using Vanguard Style, when an adjacent ally is attacked or required to make a Reflex saving throw, you can expend a use of an attack of opportunity to use both Bodyguard and Vanguard Style to protect that ally. You can also lose your shield bonus to AC to grant your ally a shield bonus to AC of the same value for as long as that ally gains a bonus to Reflex saves from Vanguard Style.

Mogmurch feels a weird sense of...deja vue (not that he would have any idea what that meant) as if he was in a far away place...before suddenly realizing where he was.

He listens carefully for the flock of gulls to fly overhead and sends another white-fletched arrow into their midst...

Geoffrey looks longingly at the suit of full plate armor, imagining himself strolling down the main promenade in Kintargo with his mustache flowing in the breeze. Regretfully he shakes his head knowing he could not wear it, at least not whilst doing bodyguard duties.

Gerry reads the contents of the note over again several times, his face a blank mask. Inside however a slow rage builds as the one name he had been trying to forget again burns itself in his mind. Briefly he considers burning the card to ash, yet already he knew it was too late...that name was again burned into his mind, and he knew of only one way to excise it: REVENGE.

Ohhh he would be there...

The previous day...

Geoffrey turns to face Morvena with an odd look on his face. He is silent for a moment before he turns to look her straight in the eye.

"No." The reply is succinct. He strokes his mustache once again, noting it needed to be trimmed again.

"Let me tell you why, Lady Morvena." He turns away briefly before returning her gaze, "Being a bodyguard means changing how you look at life. Being expected to sacrifice your life for your charge at any time is not something everybody is suited for. In order to fulfill that obligation you must make many sacrifices. Training to react to instant threats is very time consuming. However I have learned I need to allow myself a...luxury, a vanity you may say. Mine is my mustache. I may be killed today, and when I die I want my last memory to be of one of my few pleasures in life."

Geoffrey is a little breathless after the kiss here, and he quickly averts his gaze from Issil as he hitches a ride upon Marty as he travels back to the surface.

Use Spell Substitution to swap Magic Missile for Unseen Servant (takes 10 minutes). Once done he will summon it and send it to grab the hammers for Scratch and also break the weapon out of the limestone crust.

Yorad accepts the proffered bottles of wine gratefully, with a haunted look in his eyes. Listening to Meredith's tale silently he resists the urge to ask questions here...knowing they were unimportant at this point.

Once she has finished he responds softly, in a tone unlike you have ever heard before. "It's OK Meredith. You can't see into another's heart. None of us can. Still doesn't make it any less painful I know. He was my boss in a way..." Cracking open the wine bottle with his knife he takes a long swig from the bottle. "Look I plan on drinking myself down tonight so if you need me you know where I am. But before I go..." he pauses for a moment before adding. "You all have been good mates and I consider it an honor to have worked with all of you. But working for the Society..." he shrugs helplessly. "I sometimes wonder WHY we risk our lives for them. And those who send us away. Much easier fer them I suppose."

He rises to his feet and nods to each of you. "I dunno if I will come back to the Society...at least not now. Mebbe I need to find my path here like Meredith says. A good reason."

Just before he steps out of the room, bottle in hand, he waves back. "Watch your backs. I want to see all of you again alive and in one piece."

This scenario made it easy to write Yorad out, at least temporarily. I may bring him back or go with another player here, haven't decided yet.

Yorad returns to the scene of the crime, looking a little irritated but none the worse for wear as he retrieves his dagger (and resisting the urge to plunge it in between Ouidda's sternum). "So happy you came around to our point of view. This is how friendships begin," he comments sarcastically. "Since you don't enjoy dying here then allow me to bind your hands up so our happy friendship can continue."
