Darkness, and pain. A major headache it seems. And something else, a taste of nutmeg still on your tongue. dc15 alchemy, dc10 nature check . As you open your eyes you see morning light coming through a crack in the wall. The window that would be. It seems you partied harder than you remember as the room is still swaying, and the floor seems to be creaking. As you try to sit up, suddenly the door flies open.

“Still abed with the sun over the yardarm? On your feet, ye filthy swabs! Get up on deck and report for duty before Cap’n Harrigan flays your flesh into sausage skins and has Fishguts fry ye up for breakfast!"

A short man with a beard braided into straight dreads and a long black leather jacket stands in the doorway, about half a dozen forms behind him. As you look around you notice two things. Firstly, you're not alone, there are nearly half a dozen other people in seemingly the same state as you. Secondly, you seem to have none of your stuff. Even your overclothes seem gone, having been replaced by a cheap shirt and short trousers.

Feel free to start discussions here.

Every once in a while I get the urge to go out to sea and hunt for booty. But with COVID and the restrictions on travel, I'll have to settle for a play by post experience.

Skull and Shackles is one of my favourite AP's, and since my first run 9 years ago, I'm planning to make this my twelfth completed run.

I'm looking for five people that I can volunteer into the life of piracy.

I do really want to stress I'm looking for people who are in it for the long haul, to experience all six

Character Submissions::

Attributes: 25 point buy

Races: In order to balance things, and since I'm already giving you a 25 point buy, I'd like races to be 10RP or under (With Dwarf being the sole exception)

Alignment: Any alignment is okay, just remember that a lot of the game will revolve around things that are morally grey to say the least.

Classes: Only Paizo classes and archetypes.

Money: Max gold for first level.

Hitpoints: Max for first level, half rounded up after that.

Traits: Two traits, one of which must be a campaign trait.

Skills: In addition to your normal skills you with get two Background skills as per the optional rules

Backstories: I'd love to know who you were before you ended up on the ship. Who knows, this might end up becoming part of the story in itself.

I do not think much explanation is needed. I'll be running the Mosquito witch by Eleanor Ferron.

There will be a maximum of six spots. If you're using a character that has played before I'll need a copy of your latest chronicle sheet. If not, then I'll need a full PFS number and faction

Since the Breachill Town Council has been holding monthly Calls for Heroes for decades, a fair number of local traditions have built up around the event. One of the most adhered to is the visit to the 'Wizard's Grace', a popular local tavern. It's a great place to scope out the competition, schmooze with prospective hirers, or simply just have a stiff drink to work up courage before going into the town hall.

In times past, the Grace would be brimming with both adventurers and those in need of such, but in recent months, things have been rather quiet. Today only finds about a dozen people inside, and three of those are staff members. Six adventurers, including yourself seem to have answered the call. A varied bunch to say the least, in ancestry, attire and outlook.

Please feel free to introduce yourselves, describing your character.

The smell of Boar stew and lentils, the traditional meal served to prospective adventurers is filling the room. As Trinil Uskwold, the owner of the Grace sees the days catch of adventurers is light once more, she sighs. Then she walks in towards the kitchen in the back, coming out a few minutes later with half a dozen plates of stew.

The discussion thread for our campaign

This is the campaign for the second table. Players have been invited from the other thread.

4/5 5/5

So, was just checking the challenge point adjustments, especially the level bump mechanic.

It says, "Increase the Hit Point totals of all enemy creatures by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher." which make sense for tough single monsters,or at later tiers, but imagine an encounter of say 5 goblins at 6 points each, they would then all have 16 hp, an increase of 167% in HP. Seems to me that it would turn a relatively short fight for 5 level 2 players into a rather long fight. Is this WAD or was this an oversight

[i][b]Breachill’s local government has a long history of hiring adventurers to tackle challenges its residents face that fall outside the scope of the town guard’s duties. The merchant whose expected shipment of goods hasn’t yet arrived, the shepherd whose
herd of goats mysteriously died in the night, the farmer whose entire season’s harvest was ruined or stolen—investigating and resolving any of these matters are considered good jobs for adventurers, and so Breachill’s town council uses its resources to hire heroes as needed. These monthly meetings, known as the Call for Heroes, are distinct from the council’s normal regular governance meetings, a tactic that separates such matters from regular municipal business and shows the townspeople that the council takes seriously the issues that are often most important to them personally. Your characters have decided to attend this month's call for adventure to see if they can find a job that will set them on a path to greatness.[i][b]

What am I looking for?

- People who can post at least once per 48 hours, barring of course real life intervention.
- People who communicate. I'm available here, on discord, whatsapp and several other places. Need some time off, let me know. Have an issue, let me know. Wan't to quit, please don't, but if you really want to, let me know.
- People who can follow instructions. I have a few rules regarding posting and rolling and such which will be in the campaign overview, please follow those.
- People who can cooperate. This campaign is geared towards people working together. The occasional conflict is fine, but characters (or players)who only derive joy out of messing with party members have no place here.

Character creation.
- Only the CRB and the AoA players' guide are allowed
- Standard ability generation.
- 150SP starting money

So today, I tried to buy the Pathfinder society subscription. There must have been some kind of bug, either on my end, or yours because i got like 5 messages saying transaction declined due to insufficient funds. Checked the card account, made sure there was sufficient money, tried again. Again, same message.

To my surprise however, it seems that the money was taken out of the account both the first and second try. So now I paid 24 bucks, but no products.

Transaction ID's are 42513855and 42513473

Hi,

I was told to contact customer service to gain access to the 4 star GM scenarios.

Thanks in advance

Primogeniture, litterally meaning the firstborn is invested. Meaning that the firstborn child of the ruler inherits all titles.

Since Eutropia is Stavian's firstborn, the worst thing to happen for her would be losing Primogeniture. And then, what to replace it with? Salic inheritance? Ultimogeniture?

From the context it looks like that what she is trying to get rid of is agnatic inheritance, but the AP keeps telling me she wants to get rid of primogeniture. What is the reasoning behind this?

I have a pdf in my cart that I'm wanting to purchase. I click on the three numbered buttons, but nothing happens, when I get to the third page, it tells me that once submitted, the pdf will be added to my account, but there is no button to submit the order. I've tried via chrome, edge, and firefox, and none of them display any buttons to complete the order.

After months of searching, asking, and hoping, you finally succeeded in tracking down a member of the now somewhat elusive Starfinder Society. Where they used to be everywhere, recent events have left them somewhat sparce. Sadly, you cannot join their ranks without being introduced by one of their members.

Finally a Dwarf named Duravor Kreel contacted you, and invited you to come to Absalom station where the society's headquarters are located. Though you had to make your own way to the station, he did provide you with a ticket for a shuttle between the station's outer docking rings and the station's habitat facilities. Duravor explained that several prospective members would be in the shuttle, as it was easier to deal with all of you at once rather than going through everything five times.

So after travelling for quite a while, you now find yourself in the shuttle Okimoro which is on its way to the habitat's docking bay 94. The cabin is nearly empty, only five passengers including yourself. These must be the other recruits.

There's about fifteen minutes until the Okimoro wil dock.

Hi,

After a long hiatus on the boards I'm looking to run the Starfinder AP 'Dead suns'

I'm looking for 4-5 relatively active players who can post at least three times a week. (Preferably spread out, not three posts on one day and then nothing for the other six)

As i would like to play this as an SFS game (if and when it will be possible to register it as such, which I assume will be before the conclussion of the game) I would like to ask players to create SFS characters using the guide and with an SFS number attached.

If I were to take fey magic, and then use the first level slot for recharge innate magic, would casting that spell recharge its own slot? Basically giving me infinite cast of the three cantrips I could normally only cast once?

I have a premise for a new campaign.

Cheliaxan sailors have discovered a new landmass west of Garund, south of where Arcadia once was. It seems to be a small continemt, roughly the size of Varisia. The land seems to be inhabited by primitive cultures, but there seems to be no nations around.

As soon as word of the discovery reached Avistan and Garund, several powers started preparing expeditions to claim this new uncharted land.

Four of these Expeditions have started to recruit adventurers and establish a first settlement on the island. The players can be recruited into one of these four expeditions. Each expedition has different benefactors and goals, and thus asks for a different kind of adventurer.

Each expedition will get its own threads, own adventures, struggles and rewards, but as time goes by the groups will meet and interact.

the four faction recruitment threads will appear if I see enough interest

Each group will have slightly different criteria, mainly on alignment and race, but as far as the basics go:

PHB core races are always allowed, other races, see the threads related to the factions.

Core book classes, APG, ACG, UCom and UMag are allowed, as are unchained classes. Other classes and archetypes, need aproval. For summoners I will only accept unchained.

20 point build.
max starting gold for 1st level by class.

Two traits, a third can be bought with a drawback.

I just realised something rather odd about chests.Ultimate equipment claims that a huge chest is 8 cubic feet. So in many cases it would be 2ft by 2ft by 2ft. (60cm by cm by 60cm for those who've caught on to the metric system.) but has an empty weight of 250LBs (roughly 110KG) So apart from it not being really huge, it is incredibly heavy. Now if it was a solid block of oak it would come out to about 300 pounds, but considering you need to be able to put stuff in it, I'm guessing chests aren't solid so I'm wondering what they are made of.

Hi, first let me explain I'm a relatively new GM, so I may have missed something here.

I led my group through the entire Phantom phenomena book last week with the pregens. Now If I'm correct, the scenario's total prestige would be 9. However when I set that prestige, the system automatically puts it back to 4. What am I doing wrong?

A player showed me that there is an incredible disparity in pricing between two Paizo sources for the same product.

A dose of Belladonna according to the core book is 100 gold, according to the adventures armoury 2 gold.

Wolfsbane as per the core rulebook 500 gold, adventurers armory 5 sp.

Is there a reason for this enormous difference? And which source is correct, for example as far as PFS is concerned?

Be it so known that the bearer of this charter has been charged
by the Swordlords of Restov, acting upon the greater good and
authority vested within them by the office of the Regent of the
Dragonscale Throne, has granted the right of exploration and travel
within the wilderness region known as the Greenbelt. Exploration
should be limited to an area no further than thirty-six miles east and
west and sixty miles south of Oleg’s Trading Post. The carrier of
this charter should also strive against banditry and other unlawful
behavior to be encountered. The punishment for unrepentant banditry
remains, as always, execution by sword or rope. So witnessed on this
24th day of Calistril, under watchful eye of the Lordship of Restov
and authority granted by Lord Noleski Surtova, current Regent of
the Dragonscale Throne.

That is what the expensive looking parchment they gave you says. Apparently it will make agents of Restov, indeed of Brevoy give you their aid. But will that help? This parchment will do little against bandits, and even less against rampaging monsters. Attached to the scrollcase the parchment came in is a small linen bag containing twenty shiny gold coins with the logo of the Aldori on it. Pretentious, yes. But gold is gold. And as the man had said, there was more to be earned.

You came to Restov for your own reasons, perhaps intent to explore the wilderness, or maybe you just came across the recruiting office by chance, but here you are. An official conquistador of the Lord Surtova, charged with exploring what is known as the Northern Greenbelt. A dangerous place rife with bandits and wild animals. The caravan will leave soon. And if the recruiter is to be believed you will meet your new colleagues there, as together you will travel to Oleg. A noble from Restov who was brave, or is it foolish, enough to build a trading post along the road on the border of the 'river kingdoms'

It is a chance for glory and wealth, or perhaps a path to a quick death, but it's the only choice you have now. There is only the way forward.

Adventure awaits in the stolen lands....

Hi,

Though I'm new to the Paizo forums I'm a long time GM both at the table and on boards. This will be my first time running a pregenerated adventure though, as usually I prefer making my own storylines. But this storyline and the overarching goal piqued my interest.

I'm guessing I'll start off with what I expect from this campaign and how I will run it so you can see if this game is something you'd like to participate in.

1) I expect active players. Though I'm planning to go for a rather lax posting minimum of two posts per week, I will be quite strict with players who fail to meet it. I myself will post at least once per day, and will possibly post more often depending on the time I have and the speed of player posting.

2) I think of Pathfinder as a role playing game, not a roll playing game. I tend to reward good role playing and prefer well thought out and interesting characters to min maxed powerhouses. Not that I'm actively discouraging powerbuilds, but I really want to see a good backstory.

3)character creation
-Character creation. Standard epic fantasy build.
-All classes and archetypes being acceptable as long as they are found in Paizo material, no third party or homebrew.
-Any of the seven basic races, Aasimar, or Tiefling is acceptable without question, other races might be discussed, but not preferred. Again only official materials
- Skills and feats as normal
- HP max at first level
- Money, either roll on the table or take the average.
- Traits and drawbacks follow the standard, two free traits, a third can be bought with a drawback. You can choose one trait per category.

4) I will be using the Ultimate campaign rules for kingdom building in lieu of the Kingmaker rules as I find those more balanced and better worked out.
