Personal Info:
Elin Hansky is a tall, lithe female half-elf. Her defining feature is the elongated ears that belie her elven blood. Seeming not to put much attention into her own appearance beyond the customary social standards of cleanliness, Elin dresses in a conservative manner that allows her to move freely when she needs to. Atop this, there is a smoke-dulled chain shirt, tucked into a tunic almost as an afterthought. Her boots are well-worn, yet look ready for double however many paces have already been tread in them.

Elin wears a few weapons slung about her, but her movements suggest that she knows how to use them if need be. Her eyes flicker about the landscape with a rapid motion, attempting to take in as much as they can as fast as they're able to. Those who speak with her might observe both wit and wisdom in her voice and mannerisms, although they seem more for an academic setting than one of diplomacy or negotiation- put simply, she lacks social tact and grace. She has no lack of actual grace, however, as she moves with sure confidence in herself, even when loaded with gear and sundry equipment.

Background Info:
When asked for a recommendation on Elin's behalf, one of her former professors called her a "rotten, good for nothing example of a useless, tree-spoiled half-breed who was only in this school for the sake of her damnable curiosity!" After further inquiry and an incredibly colorful summary of the Hansky's eldest- and only- child's nature of duality as both student, scholar and irredeemable campus runabout, it was determined that she had a habit of taking semester travels from her studies to go into the field and come back with some evidence or thesis that completely wiped out one professor or another's academic portrayals of history or arcana, and some well-polished grudges came of that for the intrepid student of the capital.

It would appear that Elin Hansky did not graduate from the College of Absalom, instead choosing to take her gathered resources and go on a permanent sabbatical in the wilds of Varisia, despite the wishes of her father and family. Some described her as "touched", obsessed with the ancient ruins that dot that land of much hidden knowledge- one graduate student, a younger wizard renowned for his creation of a greater metamagic divination spell at a young age, grinned when her name was mentioned and launched into a story about how she refined a number of his component spells using some elements of an older craft she had recovered from "some old scrolls in the Thassalonian tradition, I think".

Nevertheless, her reputation appears only to extend to the boundaries of this sequestered campus, at the center of Golarian civilization, and even that is fast fading as grumpy expert-type teachers entertain classes of fresh faces with the secrets of elemental magics. Perhaps Elin grew tired of the environment there, with her familiar systems of support and expected paths of existence. Who can tell when one decides to strike out on their own? Whatever path she takes, she goes with the gathered knowledge of one of the world's finest universities, the natural talent of the family of Hansky family and an "unnatural knack", said that same graduate, with a grin. "Those journals and that mind of hers has got more to it than any of the addled old windbags around these parts," he said, tapping the temple of his own head. "Wait and see, I say. Wait and see."
