We had a great time but I think this one is too much for a 5 hour slot. I thought we were to make scenarios simpler to both run & play or was that just in season 6 both of the new scenario's were long complex. I would Not want to run this one cold and if you don't have a very smart party the puzzle room is very complex. you have a long skill trail area social encounters 3 or 4 major fights before the puzzle to get to the BBEG. Our GM had to hand wave some of the puzzle so we could even get to the BBEG and we were still running out of time to encounter him.
this is by far the best!!!!!! Was a total blast to play From Our GM's side he had a blast also. I have run 98 tables played in about 150 more games and this was the funnest game I have played in. A tip of the hat to Thurstin Terrific writing. IF I could give it more stars I would.
I enjoyed this much more then last years opener. was very long, very rough but that was the our fault. But with 4 to 6 combats this one can be brutal. my only complaint would be from a GM side I thought newer scenarios were supposed to run shorter as not to be pushing the 4.5 hour play limit and this one had a lot of weird rules not easy to run "cold"
This was an interesting scenario, it is a sandbox style adventure with some good roleplay opportunities but the combats we underpowered compared to the other season 6 stuff I played. Not bad but the encounters were easy for a well equipped party of 5 8th level character. Our party was able to skip the BBEG fight all together so that probably had a lot to do with the ease of this adventure.
