my druid has a buckler that is +2 I was wondering if the +2 would carry over when he shifts to another form. I know that regular armor doesnt add additional protection. Thanks for any info on the rules.

Just wondering how DMs handle skills with animals. I have an ape and at my level he gets 6 skill points. Extremely low. Do they get any just inherit abilities?
acrobatics,climb,intimidate,Perception

I cant imagine my ape needing to climb up a rock wall and cant do it because he has like a 3 in climb, or needs to jump 10 feet and falls to his death because of his 2 in acrobatics.
the frail wizard out climbs my ape. lol

Any info or suggestions ect would be appreciated. Thanks.

I've been told for my 5th level character my max wisdom can be only 21. I'm trying to find where the GM got this from. Can someone refer this rule to me and tell me where on the site it is located. Thank you. Just amazes me if you actually get 18+2 for racial+1 for level 5 you cant have it...

Im sure this has been brought up before. But I'm having a hard time at a door waiting to open it..see if theres a fight. Cast mage armor and shield ..open the door. No one in there and 2 wasted spells. Is there any way to make this swift actions or any feats that would make these such? Just looking for some ideas. Thanks for any help

Ok we have a group going we are at level 5 and the guy that was playing the wizard decided he didnt want to play it. I'm debating on filling this role (right now playing a druid). I would like to know some good feats to take. We are able to use core and 3rd party content. If you have any other suggestions, spell combos, tricks, anything that can help me shine since I know little about playing a wizard. (always seemed to squishy). Thank you for any and all help!

question I have is when I wild shape..it seems (and Im happy about it) that my ape animal compainion is actually better then I am due to the base stats table that they use to level up. Am I missing something here?

I'm level 6 with an ape
when I wild shape I just get the base stats correct? I think I'd go polar bear just to get close to what my companion has. (we have no real tank so hes filling in unfortuately)

Can you read a scroll when using Natural Spell

it states:
You can also use any material components or focuses you possess, even if such items are melded within your current form. This feat does not permit the use of magic items while you are in a form that could not ordinarily use them, and you do not gain the ability to speak while using wild shape.

and you keep all your mental stats...So you could cast off a scroll as well? or no?

I thought this was a pretty good spell. But since concentrating takes your action, not so great. You can move and thats about it. 3d6 is pretty weak damage. Am I missing something here? Is there some combo of spells or feats that make this really worth using. I know in 3.5 there was Swift Concentration which would allow you to cast another spell and keep this going. Seems that been thrown out the window for pathfinder. What am I missing? Thank you for any info. Im pretty new to a druid.

gives you +1 caster level. If I am a level 5 druid and I have one lvl 3 spells...would that give me access to summon natures ally 4 animals? I know that if you were doing a damage spell that has d6 per lvl you get an extra d6 due to the stone. Just wondering if this would also be the case in a sell like summon natures ally. Thanks for any info.

I have a companion that has power attack and leap attack. I was wondering if it seems reasonable on his jump attack to come down with both hands hitting with them laced together or just in two fists..doesnt really matter. But that counting as a two-handed attack and using up his two claw attacks.

So would I be able to use the power attack and leap attack together in this way? Thank you for any information on this.

I'm sure its been asked. But I have an Animal Companion with Bite and 2 claw attacks. Can you use Cleave and Greater Cleave ect with these attacks? The bite makes no sense. But on the two swips with claws would you be able to pull it off? Unarmed I understand you can not..but wondering on the natural weapons for my companion. Thank you for any info. Also can the feat be used on two attacks in the same round. I want to make sure I get all this info for the GM.

I have a druid with a Large Ape for a companion. We were fighting a wyvern and I wanted to grapple it. The question is would that stop the wyvern from being able to attack? Would it get its claw and bite attacks at all? I'm just rather confused on how to work it with monsters. Say you have a monster with 6 legs gets 4 claw attacks and one bite...could you really grapple and stop all those attacks? What are the penalties or bonuses for the one being grappled? Thank you for any and all info on this!

I'm sure this has been ask a hundred times in a hundred diffrent ways but I need some clarification. Rogue in the party has a stealth skill of say 14ish I think...its insane usually rolling around 25 so nothing ever sees him. Everywhere he moves...and I mean everywhere he uses stealth. Since they cant detect with perception he can get behind and sneak attack. The short of this is...how is this dealt with?

Switching from a fighter to a druid so I can have some skills and just more flavor to my character.

1st- I need to know how the natural attacks work. I have a tiger for a companion. From what I can understand he has 3 attacks bite and two claws. Full attack on the bite and -5 on the claws? Or is that only for the animals the DM creates? And my DM even brought up the LACK of skill a cat has. Such as perception, acrobatics (balance, climb, jump), and stealth. I would like others thoughts on this. I'm sure I'll have other questions so druid experts just give me any info and advice you can. And in advance, thank you.

I have a quick question about this class. It seem in pathfinder its really just a druid with a little bit of flavor thrown in. Now the 3.5 version is a completely diffrent character all together. The reasoning for the change is because the 3.5 would be overpowered in the pathfinder world? Am I correct in thinking this?

I was thinking about in game gathering up some black pepper and hot peppers and making an arrow similar to the smoke arrow. The idea is to use against casters. It would make them unable to see and a coughing fit just like pepper spray. Anything thoughts on if this is viable and what would you suggest for rules as for as squares affected and how long it would last ect? Playing a fighter and I'm trying to think up ways to take down casters. Thanks for any ideas and any help on this thought.

I see a lot of posts on the net saying this is a great beginning level spell to use on say a fighter. My question is what makes it so great? Yes you get 1 extra damage via 2 strength and a d10 damage goes to 2d8. But you lose 2 dex (which equals 1 AC point?), -1 to attack rolls and another -1 to AC. I do see the bonus to reach great for cleave. I was just wondering what am I missing on this spell? There has to be more to it, I would hope. I know a newb question but we just started a pathfinder group. Thanks for any and all help on this.
