Dird always has a dagger in hand while sneaking around; it is a nervous habit that crops up when he is in places he shouldn't be. He carries one of his shortswords in his left hand while sneaking in such a way. During the surprise round, he will throw his dagger at the closest target likely to be affected. On the next turn, he'll move into a flanking position (if possible) while drawing his other shortsword; if he needs to, he will tumble to avoid enemy attacks.

=============================================
Dird grew up amongst Taldors poor, living in the slums of Oppara. His childhood was, nonetheless, an enjoyable one. He grew up with 2 brothers and a sister, with his parents both working low-paying jobs to support the family.
Always a rascal growing up, he found that there were plenty of people willing to part with change to a poorly dressed halfling child playing lute and singing on the street corners.
He is now a grown adult, and over the last few years he has picked up odd jobs working for various individuals and organizations. He prefers a modest lifestyle, dressing in a poor mans rags (over his leather armor) and making some of his money performing on corners. He usually hides the fact that he's actually moderately well off, having done odd jobs for individuals as well as the Pathfinder Society over the last few years.
He gets very defensive when questioned about his lifestyle or his childhood. He likes to play the part of a poor and homeless person, over-dramatizing his humble upbringing if only because it leads to fewer responsibilities.
He only recently traveled to Absalom due to interest in the mysterious assignment he's heard so many rumors about, from his preferred corner. Intrigued, he left most of his savings with his parents and took just enough to travel quickly to the city at the center of the world and have enough to live off of for a few days while he investigates the job.
