The big man is huffing and puffing after the wild swings he made at the Goblins, he kneels down to clean blood off of his hammer on one of the dead Goblins shirts.

"Do we heal a lone survivor and question it er are we wastin' time with that suggestin da ya'll think?

Ta' be sure we should place all those weapons and what not in the pile ta' sell later. More we get, the better upgrades I can make ta weapons an such".

Dex is quiet in the afternoon and the morning as he and his new found allies gather goods for this "quest".

He remains quiet as the others talk of their dreams. He does look thoughtful though.

"Aye, a donkey is a wise idea, no need to tire ourselves out. We'll need to cover our tracks though, we want to be the hunters not the hunted".

Dex grins once he realizes the gold is his to take, "Wow, that's as much gold as I've seen in one place even at the height o' my smithin'. How the hell'd these Goblins get so damn much?

I suppose we'd need to wash this other stuff ou a'fore we sell it eh?"

"I understand their sentiments. I didn't come here to fight, especially Goblins. But I damn sure won't back down from them either..."

Dex is starting to tire, after all, this is a weapon for forging not fighting. Despite the burning in his shoulders he swings at the enemies once more!

Heh, I have a build like that already plus Dex has just about as high a Strength as he does Dex. The dip is really for the Skill Points plus the fact that Dex was a bit of a crook. :-)

Hmmm, in that case I'll go Arcanist/Fighter. I do want to do a Rogue dip at level 1 as the concept of Dex lends itself to a Charlatan type and he needs the skill points to take expansive crafting. I do plan on taking Craft Magic Arms and Armor and Craft Wondrous Items.

Hmmm. The Path of War stuff just does not seem to jive with Dex's build. Think I'll instead go Arcanist/Rogue into Arcane Trickster. May take 1 level of Fighter. I guess we'll see as I advance.

Dex swallows hard as the Goblins miss him, his palms sweaty, he swings again at the mount.

I'll send you the SRD link when I get a chance an PM a breakdown of the basics. I've not delved into it much but want to and a PC is a god way to do just that. If you remember 3.5 think Tome of Battle for the equivalent (Martial Maneuvers).

John, would you allow Path of War classes?

If so, Dex will retrain as Mystic 1 and take Arcanist at level 2. Otherwise I'll have to think about where to go next...

I don't mind if a PC comes in with Adventure Class levels. However, I know where the adventure is going and I run this particular Module/Path so was iffy on dropping or not. Still, I figure I'll see where you take it John and go from there.

That said, if I am still in the game at level 2, I'll not be sticking to the Expert class moving forward as these NPC classes in no way would allow for long term adventuring as such PCs are without adequate skills to deal with threats beyond basic Goblins or Orcs.

At level 1 though, I don't see it as an issue.

Dex swallows a curse and brings the sledge down from an upswing trying to brain the thing once more.

I am OK with Botting Initiative it's what I do for the games I DM on PbP.

Round 1

Dex awaits a Goblin to charge past his position. He holds when the first and second come opting for the second or third he will believe will pass them by, after all, he's a big enough target and fighting more than one of these buggers is just asking for trouble unless yer skilled, at combat anyhow!

While Dex is no warrior, even he knows that a mere rock won't slay a Goblin. His hammer though, is another matter entirely. While not a weapon designed to kill like the ones he crafts, if he hits a living creature with it, it'll die if the blow is placed well enough.

Dexter foregoes throwing a rock and steps into the doorway of a building awaiting a Goblin to charge at his position hoping they overlook him in their wild bloodlust charge.

Stealth 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Initiative 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12

I don't think we have any actual combat weapons, I have a sledge hammer so I will assume that damage on that is 1d6.

Still, the fact that we all're seemin' ta know one another is an odd thing. Real odd. I think we should all stick together and see if anything comes of it. If that entails stayin', I'll stay, if you are fixin' ta leave then I'll be goin' with ya.

While not a fan of the song in RL it felt like a great quote in the moment of this game! You could be the glass is half full PC as Dex is the glass is half empty PC.

Dexter stands and stretches out his back, every vertebrae it seems makes aloud popping noise. He is a large tall man standing at 6’6” tall weighing nearly 300 lbs. He has no hair on his head but facial hair on his face. His body is all muscle from long days in the smiths as a young man and an adult. It is clear he has been on the road for some time as his beard is ill kept and his clothes a bit ragged, his backpack though is unusually pristine and seemingly heavily weighed down though the man carries it with ease.

He eyes the locals and mouths the word Cotton then turns towards the halfling standing near what passes for a drinking establishment in this place and approaches, "Oi, little man, there's something mighty familiar about you. Can I ken your name?"

Dex slogs into the crappy little town feeling as miserable as he looks. He heads over to a seat in this "town center" watching the groups of men to attempt to identify who among them may be the leaders. After all, leaders of villages can give a man down on his luck an opportunity but only if he identifies them and observes them proper like to ensure his approach is just right...

And your calculations are off. Rapier 320, minus your 25 % = 240 divide by 4 is 60 gp for raw materials to make the blade, your purchase of flawless steel brings that up to 120 gp cost. Because it's flawless the dice check does not increase making it a difficulty 15 you make progress by the day, at 15 you normally get 2 gp base progress per day, with you exceeding by 5 each day you take 10 you make 4 gp, it takes you 15 days to complete the Rapier.

Katana is 50 gp, plus 300 for masterwork, remove 25 percent for feat cost of katana crafting ends up being 131 gold, 2 silver 5 copper with flawless steel. You are trying to match 65 gold, 2 silver, and 2.5 copper Due to it being an exotic weapon to begin with it's a 20 dc, but flawless keeps it from going up to 25 at 4 gp a day, it will take 17 days to make the Katana. You will also have 2 gold, 7 silver, and 7.5 copper worth of material that can be automatically applied to simliar items like another katana or such.

Alright, so Allyson's armor is still a work in progress.

Good news Allyson and Payn you both now have Masterwork weapons to add to your sheets. The armor will take more time.

I think that is correct based on the guidelines you presented above.
