Well... f%&@.

You've done a wonderful job as the DM as far as I'm concerned. It sucks that it will end this way, but you do your own thing. It will be hard finding someone on your level. I'm willing to continue if we find someone capable.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Des true to her word decided not to join in on her room... for precaution reasons. Instead, she decided to see if Dixie's room was available.
-----------------------
The next morning, she would make her way into the room. She wore a blue one-piece dress that flowed from her shoulder to her ankles with light materials that is more bearable for hot weather. Her hair has been tied together into knots as to keep it in check and make it slightly more formal. Not that it mattered much in the Shackles, but it felt like a good idea.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Des looks over at Mateo before returning his gaze to Terry. "We probably would have seen some blood on him too. Here's to hoping we can keep the peace until we leave," she winced.

Sense Motive DC 21:
The way she paused snd fidgeted when she mentioned Dixie indicated she knew more about that encounter than she let on. Given where Terry grew up in, he had a feeling why she was hiding details about Dixie."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"There's Thelma, who's been hanging out with Kroop a lot as of late. She's also a really good cook, so we have two great options for that. And Dixie..." She paused for the briefest of moments while thinking of how best to say it. "Turns out she's great at counseling. Gods knows we could use some of that."

"In any case, it would be good to keep an eye on him in the meantime." She proceeded to head towards the kitchen where she sat down. "What do you think of the new recruits we got?"

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"Right... with the wasps and everything," Destinie nodded in agreement. "He isn't a fan of Harrigan, is he? I'm hoping most of the Free Captain's here aren't in case he might have one go after us."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Des let out a deep breath before answering. Rickety knows about Syl. He'll finished the job for us and even give us more guns, but we're likely not allowed here again. At least with Syl who still has a bounty on her head. She seems slightly more forgiving, but I'm locking my door tonight just to be safe,"

With all the drama going on, it only just occurred to her about the other potential crisis. "So who was on the Cheliax ship?"

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

With that, Des breathed a sigh of relief. It didn't go as badly as she thought, but the guilt within her remained. "I'm sorry. You probably hate me for that, and it's deserved " She decided not to say much else as she returned to her own ship.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

In a way, he had every right to be angry and there wasn't much she could say that could sway him otherwise. For now, she stood with fated breath over what might happen next.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Unfortunately it was as she expected. Des followed the man as she made her case as well. "We wouldn't have been able to save you if she hadn't defended your body."

The oracle looked back as Rickety started to move back. She sought to follow him as she decided to add something else. "We also have a situation with an unidentified ship in the docks we weren't sure what was going on with that, but our captain is likely handling that right now."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

There was no way of telling from her end. Yet that will be a problem for another moment. For now, she would head off to the market in search of a Lesser Restoration scroll or potion.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Does the market have what I'm looking for?

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"Not that I can do on my own," Destinie replied while shaking her head. "But if I can find a lesser restoration scroll or potion in the place, that should be enough to bring him out of his paralysis."

She was ready to set out and get the supplies, but she also made note on Rickety's eye movements to see what it may mean.

Des will go find a Lesser Restoration potion/scroll.

Okay, will make note of that.

GM, I've been doing pretty badly at this. Permission to retcon? She'd be much more wary with this.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"If you're going for that ship, I'll attend to Rickety and Syl. I don't have the means to remove the poison, but I might be able to bring him out of paralysis with the right spell." She let Syl get herself back up before looking down at Rickety. "...I'll also need help bringing him to a safer place for him to rest," she added sheepishly.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Once the healing had been applied, she checked the woman's neck for a heartbeat. It was there, but it felt pretty weak. That and the fact that she was still unconscious seems to indicate that she still needed some more help.

There was a bit of a surprise that she didn't attack, but figuring that out can wait. Her main focus was getting her back up.

When it came to the question of how to handle Syl, it was a difficult situation. She was hoping to talk about it once they left the island and away from one of her victims. Yet it didn't occur to her that she just might end up being her savior.

Her other else had the same idea.

Aquan:
"Cover for me!"
she shouted to the group as she slid in between the two wasps in order to get within range of healing the woman. Provided she can survive the incoming attacks.

"Right," Des groaned in Common "Remind me to chat with him on what he's bringing in for food tomorrow..."

The next day, her first priority was checking how the naga child was doing before meeting the others.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Des adds to what Terry says in Aquan.

"We will do what we can to keep you comfy in the meantime."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"We'll also need to keep the child wet to make sure the skin doesn't try out. I think there's some magic that's capable of doing that."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

It was almost disappointing that it was nothing other than a drought. It made their decision even more difficult to do. When they were back, she rubbed her hair off anything that remained sticking before answering.

"Agreed. I can look up to see if I can get any info on naga and the food they eat," She gave out a deep sigh. "It's not exactly what I had in mind with adding a child to the ship."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

The further they moved upward, the more desolate the river became. It seemed like there was no hope for finding anyone else. And of course that allowed a possibility to dawn on her.

"Could that naga we fought have been the mother?" she asked somberly.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

While Terry and Lanni continued talking, she addressed her opinion to the group.

"I think finding the remaining naga may be our best chance, even if it's slim. I'm... morbidly curious to see how bad it's up there. Checking upstream wouldn't hurt."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

It was harder for the oracle to hold back her disgust of the bodies littered across the area. She didn't realize how bad the drought has been for the naga.

Hearing the splash, she motioned towards the dam. "I think it went into the water. Just be careful." She followed anyone who pressed forward while taking note of any sudden movements.

Des sighed, though it was far less exasperated then her usual ones. A part of her still wanted to do something to help the scaly giant. Sure it was from the usual suspects, but it was a more welcome surprise than most.

Thus, her expression was more reserved when her eyes went white while she spoke a prayer to create a spell to help the group.

Casting Bless.

It was with a heavy heart that Destinie decides to leave the scene. As much as she would like to change the outcome, she figured that was simply the facts of life. It's usually best not to interfere in such things.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

It was certainly a new experience to her. She balked as she stepped back a couple steps... but hesitated when it seemed like they weren't going to attack back. "It's honestly refreshing finding another creature that doesn't want to kill us on sight," she replied, visibly relieved.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Des shrugged and replied. "I'm more used to it to be honest... even when I'd rather not have to deal with that kind of showboating," she frowned slightly. "In a pirate town, you're bond to see a bit of indecency every once in a while. At least since we're teammates you have the chance to ask him to curry it out if it bothers you."

Des in the meantime took good note of that Mateo's chiseled thighs... while casually mouthing the rest of her soup. It's rude to oogle... but it's also nice not to get caught while doing so.

She did notice Atia, where she eventually found a seat to sit next too. "At least that's one benefit of being single," she smiled. [B]"You don't have to worry about someone looking behind your back."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

Yeah... that clarifies a lot.

"Simone is one of his chickens he keeps in the kitchen. Too mean-spirited for him to try and kill so it's the pet mascot. We try not to mention anything about death near it. Kroop's just afraid you might now join us if you knew."

Thankfully, she say Syl moving in towards them before she said that previous lie.

Uh oh. Luckily, Des remained a fast talker and stepped in front of a flustered Kroop before responding rather casually. "He really meant Syl. The woman with black hair. We weren't that close or even friends, but she came around in the end. Still, it's best to keep an eye on everyone on your ship. It's good to know who you'd be working on around here." She looked back at Kroop before turning towards Thelma with a smirk. "I think he's afraid you might not join if you knew a bit more aboutcus."

She decided it wasn't much good to think of an alibi in a place where everyone knew each other. It felt alright to at least come clean about Syl's tendencies... as long as they don't spill the beans about the big one.

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

"They're like humans, Kroop!" Des interrupted in an exasperated tone. "They can think, have homes and talk in their own language too. So definitely not food to eat!" After blowing off steam, she drooped her shoulders as her face became more sullen. "In fact, I felt a bit sorry for her. She sounded insane."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

It was definitely something Des had noticed. And she was glad that he was looking better over time. It was also why she elected her answer to be food instead of a drink

"You sure missed something out there. We had to fight a naga just now. The poor thing went mad over the lack of water around here... not that I can really blame her. It's really blistering out there."

NG M Female Oracle of Lore 3 HP: 31/31 AC:17(T:14/FF:13) CMD:12 Saves-FO:+2 RE:+5 WL: +7 Int: -1 Perc: +6

It was safe to say that there won't be any games happening that day. Not that she had any intentions of doing so in her current state. After a quick bath and change of clothes she went back towards the ship. Specifically, she was hoping to meet Kroop's new friend.

"That sounds like a reasonable deal to me," she nodded... then looked down to notice that her newest dress was drenched in muddy water, to which she sighed. While Des continued to look into Atia's wounds, her eyes returned to normal, causing the woman to feel dizzy for a bit before turning back to confirm her suspicions: the creature was dead.
