Oh, i see, hmm that makes sense and i hadn't actually thought of doing that either

I actually hadn't even considered this, how exactly would a 1 level dip sorcerer cross blood class work if you're already a sorcerer class?

That i have to agree. On a similarly relevant note in a previous campaign i made a homebrew class that was kind of an anti magic class with a bunch of illusion defensive spells. She was a zealot that hated all magical things, (except her own because she was using it for "good"), which ended up getting her into a lot of fights. (one time i ended up dueling this one wizard and the rest of the party I was in basically just stood back and said "k, we're not part of this". I ended up killing her, the rest of the party wasn't pleased XD.

Also, back on track, if i did go cross bloodline, i still think i'd get more benefit out of the arcane one despite the not as useful class skill although flavourwise it would be a lot of fun :D. I don't suppose you have any experience on cross blood and if you can really feel the spell sacrifice if you're going that specialized?

Oh, also i should mention there's a paladin in the party which might make the whole "evil" thing a bit harder to deal with :P

I actually did as i did like the extra charm spells, the additional spells are pretty great, and diplomacy as a class skill is also great, but it still has the cross-blood lose a lot of spells problem that i'm very hesitant about

The feat layout is actually very similar to what i was considering doing with my second idea (-necromancy stuff because our DM gave the impression that there's not going to be undead stuff... although that's still for now and i considered picking it up).

Hmmmm, i might go with greater spell focus then which i also considered. A driving push for craft wondrous item was that I'd be allowed to start with a headband of +2 charisma for 2000gold, then still have 4000gold for other stuff instead of paying "market price" for the item. (I'm also starting with a wand of mage Armour since i don't want to waste a spell slot on it)

First, just want to say i have been reading posts and advice from this sight for a while now and finally decided to join :)

So i'm starting a new campaign tomorrow and i'm finishing up my sorcerer but there's a still a few decisions i'm having a tough time deciding on.

I want to mention that my DM has banned the use of the human sorcerer favoured class bonus and that we are not playing with "traits" (unless we take two as a feat). We are also starting the campaign at level 4.

What i've decided to do, is make an enchantment focused sorcerer.(He's a salesman, skills in bluff and diplomacy, and chaotic neutral to give an idea of the character). He's also Kitsune for the +DC to enchantment. I have gone with the Fey bloodline for the +2 DC in compulsion and because i find this works well with the idea of the Kistune race for "flavour". My first two feats i picked are "craft wondrous item" and Spell focus "enchantment"

I have 3 options as far as i can tell regarding my question of bloodlines

1. --> Just pick Fey Bloodline and get the appropriate feats that would help.

2. Either use 3 feats + a bonus feat or 4 feats to get the arcane bloodline abilities (especially for the +2 DC). The problem i have with this is I either get skill focus in a skill i'll never use (knowledge nature, we have a druid in the group anyway) or i use a non-bonus feat to get skill focus:knowledge arcana, followed by 2 OK feats. I just find it's a lot of feats to invest

3. I go cross bloodline Fey/Arcane, and don't use any feats, but at the cost of 9 spells, learning them all a level later and -2 Will (but I also get arcana which seems really nice with persistent spell)

So basically I'm just looking for input to decide which of those 3 routs to go.

All responses appreciated and thank you in advance :)
