Thinking quickly he grabs the scorpion and jabs it into his leg, pegging him to the floor. The vault can no longer distinguish which is gnome and which is vault and cannot teleport him away.

<p>It seems the vault is angry with Cogsnap's clever plan of evading the teleportation effect, and so begins sending curses his way! The first Cogsnap manages to outwit.

<p>Cogsnap manages to disarm the trap and is rewarded with a quite nice holy symbol of pharasma for his troubles. He pours his crystalline ooze creature out and asks it to scout ahead for him.

He moves to the earthworks, which is somehow also on fire despite being MADE FROM STONE. While doing so he empties the contents of his magical canteen into a flask, the sludge making a servicable acid. Just as he's done doing this, he looks up and spots another Agash.</p>
<p><b>"Ugh, can we not?"</b> he asks sarcastically as the outsider rushes upon him. Resigned to his fate, Cogsnap throws the acid at the outsider.</p>

Then some sort of weird extraplanar thing rushes up to attack him.

<b>"Huh . . ."</b> muses Cogsnap as he pockets the item. <b>"Well, time to see if there is anything here that'll help me fight a giant evil extraplanar lying giantess . . ."</b> he says to himself as he starts looking around the chamber.

Cogsnap finds an abandoned mace lying in the corner. It's huge and looks like it could be used to knock down walls. He gives one attempt at heaving it but immediately realizes he doesn't have the strength for it.
