About Cinthiel

Backstory:
Cinthiel Anastasdalon

Cinthiel was born in the Elven village of Crying Leaf to his parents Andrew Burge a human 'retired' adventurer and an Elf maid Sindlara Anastasdalon. Andrew as an adventurer preferred to explore anchient Thassilonian ruins and places of the past and after making a few sucessful discoveries of relics he could sell he setteled down in crying leaf as he had been in skirmishes there a few time in is career and had a fondness for Elven women. Sindlara's family were well known as rangers, warrior and magus that fought the troubles of the forest but she enjoined a more simple life and was impressed by Andrew as he had the skills to protect her and any family they may have but lacked the desire to activly seek conflict like the others in her home did.
Cinthiel like most half-elves was looked upon with disdain by the 'true' Elves of his village. However like the human kin he shared with his father he grew up fast, and unlike most Elves he was of strong physique with viable muscles from neck to toe. His stature combined with his father training him in the use of his adventuring greatsword meant the teasing and derision that normally came to half-elevs didn't last past his childhood years.
Cin however was not only strong but smart and curious. Raised on his fathers stories of Thassilonian tombs and all the ancient ruins of their homeland and his adventures, Cin was unable to be stopped when it came to reading books of history and magics. After serving as a guard in his teens in his village it was noted by his fellows that he had latent magic talent and that he should seek to hone it. Under the tutelage of the village elder Eviana Nirgassan, Cin was able to awaken his blood and with a mix of primal magic from the elder and arcane study he became an Arcanist. This left Cin in a strange place however he was not as adept at magic as the Wizards he had read about and not quite the martial discipline of the magus' his people trained. He pushed this inadequacy to the back of his mind and continued to bury himself in the past studying books of all kinds.
It was on one such occasion that a traveling caravan of Varisians came and Cin plundered their wares for new books. Upon their books he came across a tome about deities lesser known on the continent of Avistan. One of the deities was of particular interest to him, Irori. Irori was a god of knowledge and history but also of self-perfection, the combination of both mind and body. Cin inquired to the Varisians if they knew more about Irori. While they didn't know much themselves they told Cin that a small settlement to the south by the name of Sandpoint was home to a small chapel called the House of Blue Stone that was dedicated to Irori.
With little thought for others Cin told his parents that he would be leaving. At first there was argument, however his father knew he was older than most humans when they left home and he had the skills to protect himself.

Appearance:
Hair : Shoulder Length Dirty Blond
Eyes : Solid green with no whites like an Elf
Height : 6'00" Weight : 150 lbs.
Clothes : Cin wears simple robes not unlike those of a monk with lose fitting pants and shirt so as to give him uninhibited movement both for combat and spellcraft.

Combat Strategy:
Cin tries to be ready ahead of any fight by casting mage armor. If he knows he has even more time he will cast Enlarge Person on himself or another martially proficient ally. He than will use cantrips like acid splash while approaching if his foes are out of reach of his greatsword. However, once in range he prefers to cut his foes down with his greatsword. Cin knows the value of knowledge and if he thinks he can help a situation by taking a prisoner he will use his strength to grapple a foe and pummel them with non-lethal punches to subdue them for later inquiry although he is not the greatest with words and emotions and will leave such work to more qualified allies if possible.
