I like the less combats idea actually. In PbP, combat tends to use a lot of time. It seems like we have had an encounter in every room so far which is part of the reason we have been in the tombs so long.

Meanwhile Cae gives Amunet-Ra the slightest of nods as he begins to hum a tune, eventually beginning a crude farmer's song about the infrequent rains of Athas.

As he begins the next verse, the moisture in the air grows.

"They say it wasn't always so,
But the rains will come again,
Like ages past when crops did grow,
Taller than the heads of men..."

Using Control Weather to summon a light rain, hopefully revealing the hidden visitor.

If one has the Divination Sphere, each other sphere you have gives you a specific thing you can search for: Alternate Divinations. So, it's like Detect Magic, but for other things, such as Alteration searches for creatures with the shapechanger type.

The perception check was related to the Illusion sphere & the other was Detect Magic auras.

Cae's anger at the shadow fiend wars with his wonder at seeing the cavern. He drags his finger along the wall, feeling the moisture there while feeling the waterfall's spray on his face. For just a moment, a childlike smile can be seen on his face as he leaps through the waterfall to join Hamza and the rest.

Ito's confidence is reassuring to Cae. Not worried by their presence, Ito seems less likely to strike at them without provocation. Cae tries to push the image of a cat toying with prey out of his mind as he opens his senses.

I love the idea for using the godling classes for the sun and moon mages.

It also gave me another idea -- the fluff I'm using has twin dead gods of the sun and moon. Part of the 'godling' idea is that sun and moon magic draws on the residual powers of the dead divinities of these heavenly bodies. The dead deities of the sun and moon essentially form 'Living Vortexes' of the sort the Templars draw upon to harness power from the sorcerer-kings and queens.

Curiously enough, I am already doing some of this. Godling is one of my classes and my Hedgewitch fluff is moon-themed, even projecting a Moonlight aura.
