Bryndís is quite content to relax and have a couple of drinks, brandy or whatever it is she can get off the Doctor. She doesn't see any need to move elsewhere rather than staying where they are, at least until given a reason to think paying to stay at another place would be better.

She largely stays out of the conversations unless she needs to respond to a question directed at her. But, she does decide to put her thumb on the scale in regards to the two contracts they have. It is clear which one of them should be taken up first, and she doesn't want to spend time in the near future on a group discussion or debate on how to proceed. It's such a waste of energy.

"Doctor, tomorrow we must go to the Quarterfaux Archive. Is that place nearby?"

After all, if a man is missing and the time has passed to realize he's missing, conduct an initial search for him by perhaps informing the local constabulary or watch, then fail to find him so completely that the next step is sending word all the way to Magnimar about the contract, then for them and all others to delay on taking the contract until they did, and after that to travel to Ustalav, the guy is pretty godsdamn missing.

Delay will only make a cold trail even colder. The missing man must come first.

My apologies, I'm too covered up at work and tired at home to get a post in before this weekend.

Oh, I was just joking. But it's true, Bryndís is probably most likely in the party to scratch her ass right in front of other people.

Bryndís wonders why Liotierri is being so roundabout flowery of speech when he smells so badly. She leans in toward the pair of eyes behind the slider, but doesn't really lower her voice.

"Sheila gave us jobs here."

Hey, are you saying Bryndís ain't pretty? She's hot! (depending on one's tastes...) Or spits and cusses? (She doesn't spit that often). :p

I should have taken the Noble Savage trait. :(

Bryndís goes up to the door with Liotierri.

When Govrina reemerges from the alley, Bryndís takes off the cloak she's wearing and tosses it over to her.

Bryndís explains keep it until you get a new cloak. It's not cold here", which seems to be her way of saying 'think nothing of it, I don't need it anyway so no hurry'.

Bryndís gives Wayilant a quizzical look at his comment about a 'deep connection', wondering what he means.

She clarifies the situation as best as she can explain it. "We are friendly competitors. He has my respect."

The rowing incident leaves Bryndís sulky. She has no interest in changing up her clothing. It's doubtful it would help her blend in anyway. She sticks with Gravi and Govrina.

Bryndís is amazed by Fizzeldeck's flying contraption, but she doesn't think too deeply or curiously about it. It seems to be built and operated with some combination of alchemy, magic, and mundane technology. But, sorting what's what out would be a complicated task for sure. Besides, from what Bryndís knows of gnome thinking, trying to follow the underlying logic of the machine would probably just lead to madness, or at least considerable frustration.

Instead Bryndís is consumed with sightseeing during the journey. She spends most of her time looking at the lands passing beneath from the deck or a window. To her it is like viewing a great map, and she has long been fascinated by maps and seeing new places. The only downside is nothing is labeled, so Bryndís constantly pesters anyone around her who might know with questions about where they are at the moment and what exactly she is seeing. She tries to memorize as much as she can hold in her head about the great area between Magnimar and Caliphas. It might be useful someday.

The accommodations and such aboard the craft are good, she doesn't even mind the basic breakfasts. But there is one thing that puts her off, the silk bedding. The slipperiness and lightness of it is irritating. She can lay a silk sheet across herself and it barely feels like it is even there, which is crap. If she doesn't want to feel like she is under a sheet, she will not put a sheet over herself.

Bryndís does see great potential in the flying craft in a way most others are probably not considering so much. As a vehicle for raiding or conquest it could be a game changer. It could make walls and most normal defenses, obsolete. But, there would need to be a modification that she isn't sure would be possible. Dropping into the center of a fortress or city would make landing probably impossible. Rappelling down from the craft by rope would be slow, nearly suicidal. She asks Fizzeldeck about feasibility.

"Could boxes big enough to hold maybe three or four armed warriors be made in a way so they could be lowered to the ground quickly by winches? The boxes could be wooden mostly if reinforced by iron. They would protect the warriors from arrows and such while they are lowered. Then there would be a door for them to come out. How many boxes of that kind could be put on this flying ship?"

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

When Wayilant asks about hair braiding for Julie, Bryndís is pleased to have an opening for a larger conversation she's been putting off. His question is a bit silly, the only wrong type of hair for braiding is very short (obviously), but he did come to the right person. Bryndís knows a substantial number of braiding methods and styles, ranging from a single braid to several, and in complexity from fast and functional to exquisite and so complex the help of another is required.

She shows them a couple of the simpler things, pigtails and a standard three-strand braid. Julie should be able to learn them quickly enough, and they are the basis from which some styles can be done.

Afterward, Bryndís pulls Wayilant aside for a minute.

"There is something I need someone to do. I think you are the best person. Hellgor and I made a pledge. When we next meet again in Magnimar, we will tell each other all that has happened since we last met. But, it is possible that one or both of us might die before we meet there again. If that happens, the stories must still be told. But, for that we each need a second, a person who can tell the story of the dead."

"I need you to be my second. I think you would tell the story best. Will you do this? You will have to see and remember all that I do and what happens to me if so. My story must be told right and truly if this task should fall to you."

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Bryndís shimmies down the rope to the small boat quickly. She takes up an oar, preferring to go into the harbor under muscle power. To Govrina's offer she replies "It is a good thing to have if we need it because something happens. But, we are new to here and I think we should go into the city without being noticed for anything odd. Maybe there would be no trouble if we seem strange, but maybe there would be. I think we should not be talked about by people here until we have no choice but to do things that will be talked about"

Heh, to my thinking, Bryndís and Hellgore give Amos Burton-Chandra Wei (from The Expanse) vibes. Well, except for the also sort of being enemies part.

Usually being told to do something, like Wayilant's suggestion to smile more, wouldn't be something Bryndís takes with anything resembling grace. In this case she would probably have retorted with a short stream of cussing. But, Bryndís needs him for something now, so she lets it slide.

Instead Bryndís chooses to engage with his other observation.

"Yes, I do not often see people from home. I sometimes forget that I like them, mostly. It was a good night, plenty of drink and good stories. Southrons don't tell stories so well as the Ulfen, unless they are Varisian. After that Hellgore, the one with light blonde hair, and I banged for a long time, which was also very good. I should remember to seek out my own more often."

Bryndís raises her hand holding her baggage to show Wayilant she's ahead of his expectations and continues on down the stairs.

"I will go to the balloon and wait to board with the rest of you."

Bryndís meets Wayilant coming down the stairs as he's going up.

"Good Morning! What is happening today? Do we leave?"

Despite an evening of drinking and a night of little sleep, Bryndís looks great, as alert and on top of things as she ever is. Apparently she is both an evening and a morning person.

Female Half-Elf Bloodrager 4| HP 40/40 | AC 16 (T 12, F 14) | CMB +8, CMD 20 | F +6, R +3, W +3 (+2 vs Charm and Compulsion) (All +1 vs Arcane Spells) | Init +3 | Perc +9 | Speed 40 | Rage 12/12

Bryndís is up early in the morning. Since she had been too busy to check in with anyone, she's not sure what will be happening or when, so she'd best go find out.

She and Hellgor don't have a great deal to say to each other, after all, it's extremely unlikely they will ever see each other again (Bryndís likes her chances in the near future, Hellgore's not so much). They do wish each other that the Norns see fit to weave the other a long and rich tapestry before the final thread is cut.

They also make a pledge that is Bryndís's idea. Should one or both of them fail to return here, probably due to death, they will each have a second. That person will be entrusted to return and tell the story of what happened after this day to the other. While it's not a terribly sound plan in terms of logistics, neither Bryndís nor Hellgor are fool enough to think they will be writing any books or letters. Probably it is one of those instances where it's the thought the counts.

Once she's dressed and gathered her gear, there's just time for one last, actually rather long, kiss before she's on her way downstairs.

Yeah, if it's just about the feel of your character, go ahead and dip. Clerics don't suffer so much from a dip compared to arcane casters, who really need to watch their DCs.

I was asking because, depending on what you were looking for, a slight rebuild adding an archetype. If you were looking for more party buffing then Evangelist pretty much the Inspire Courage ability that Bard has.

If you want more skill points Herald Caller gives 4/level and makes you very good at summoning.

The Evangelist prestige class, which you could qualify for at 6th level would also give you quite a bit more breadth with extra class skills and more skill points. Cayden's boons aren't fantastic, but they're not bad. they're also amusing.

Govrina is right about the spells. Prestidigitation is a cantrip, so a cheap wand. Although you wouldn't have Perform as a class skill, your CHA is high and you can use background skills, so you could do a bare bones version of what you're talking about with the skill points you have and a little gold spent.

Sure, I'm fine with it Wayilant.

But I will ask, what are you looking to get from Bard mostly. Or conversely, what are you finding lacking in Cleric? Whichever is more on target.

Bryndís has an excellent time and stays on until late when things start winding down. When it's apparent the night is coming to a close, Bryndís is a little sad. She has spent all the time since she left Kalsgard being so busy mentally leaving it behind that it never occurred to her that she could miss home, and she does.

Still though, she has put away that perfect amount of alcohol where one can feel the rush of it singing in the blood, heightening everything and making it all wonderful. Bryndís loves everyone there; she doesn't even mind the elf anymore. She is powerful, and beautiful, and admired.

Bryndís has been especially wrong about Hellgor. He isn't loutish at all. In fact, he has been mannered, well-spoken, respectful, and welcoming. If he isn't quite dashingly handsome, well sometimes that quality is a little overrated anyway. She reaches up, grasping Hellgor's ear between her thumb and finger, drawing him closer. At the same time she leans in close so she can speak softly.

"Ég hef skipt um skoðun. Þú verður undantekning frá minni reglu. Þú kemur með mér í rúmið í kvöld."

Skald Speakers:

"I have changed my mind. You will be an exception to my rule. You are coming with me to bed tonight."

Why not? she thinks. After all, I will likely be dead from falling out of the sky in a day or three.

She sort of wishes her party could make the journey east with the Ulfen band on their ship. If her memory serves, they could go as far as the River Kingdoms before they would need to take different branches of the Sellen River to their different respective destinations. It would be slower, but one hell of a lot more fun than some gnome's dodgy balloon-craft. But, Bryndís is sure she'd never be able to convince the others to change plans on such short notice.

Female Half-Elf Bloodrager 4| HP 40/40 | AC 16 (T 12, F 14) | CMB +8, CMD 20 | F +6, R +3, W +3 (+2 vs Charm and Compulsion) (All +1 vs Arcane Spells) | Init +3 | Perc +9 | Speed 40 | Rage 12/12

Bryndis quickly becomes immersed in her own drama at the table, losing track of what the others are doing. The elf doesn't provide any traction for her animus, being in turns even tempered, nonjudgemental, and somewhat complimentary to her. She still doesn't like him though. She feels like there's something slippery about how he talks. Or, perhaps Bryndis is just determined to be spiteful to him because he can serve as an avatar for certain personal injuries she cultivates. She rejects his implied invitation to switch to Common.

"Is dócha go gcuirfear fáilte romhat ar ais abhaile tar éis duit taitneamh a bhaint as do chuid ama as baile, ag féachaint ar rudaí cosúil liomsa. Dá n-imtheóchadh go léir bheadh ort siubhal, mar níl fáilte agam-sa i d' bhaile-sa agus i dtigh m'athar. Murab ionann agus tusa, bhí cosc air filleadh go deo. Ní hé go bhfuil sé tábhachtach anois, tá sé marbh."

Elven Speakers:

"I suppose you will be welcomed back home after you have enjoyed your time away, seeing curiosities like me. After all you would have to travel, for I am not welcome in your, and my father's, home. Unlike you, he was forbidden to ever return. Not that it matters now, he is dead."

Immediately after her reply, Bryndis turns to conversing with the Ulfen men enthusiastically, making it clear to the elf she has no more interest in speaking with him. She begins asking Hellgor and the rest about themselves; where they are from, how they coalesced as a band, where they got their ship, and so forth. In return, Bryndis tells them all about her own band's recent adventures in and near the Sandpoint area.

Since she has put aside any considerations of keeping her identity from them, Bryndis relaxes. She starts enjoying herself tremendously as the food, drink, and talk flows. Bryndis had never really any experiences like this one before. In Kalsgard, she had been under her mother's thumb. After leaving, she had scrupulously avoided other Ulfen travelers. Until now, she had been making the mistake of conflating the awfulness of the former as awfulness to be expected from the latter.

Sense Motive (The Elf): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Perform (Oratory): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

The realization is slow to come, but Bryndís begins to understand, or at least thinks she begins to understand, the elf. She starts to feel angry, which burns away all her previous caution. She will confront him, if only through words.

Bryndís looks directly at the elf and switches to elven.

"Is Cainteoir Duairc thú nach bhfuil? Bhuel mar sin, b’fhéidir go bhfuil ainm m’athar ar eolas agat. Is dócha go mallacht tú é."

Elven Speakers:

"You are a Twilight Speaker aren't you? Well then, you may know my father's name. You probably curse it."

Since she has decided to go so far, Bryndís decides to do away with all misdirection. Her mother is far too smart to be fooled by something so simple as a disguised given name.

"Ég heiti reyndar ekki Hjördís heldur Bryndís, dóttir Raelyosradins af Ilverani Álfum."

Skald Speakers:

"My name is actually not Hjördís but Bryndís, daughter of Raelyosradin of the Ilverani elves."

After announcing this to the table, Bryndís again looks at the elf with hard eyes for a moment. Then, looking at all the others she adds

"Vinkonur mínar kallar mig Bryndís Kviku."

Skald Speakers:

"My friends call me Bryndís the Magpie."

Wanting to move on to other, more pleasant subjects, Bryndís asks "Hvernig komuð þið öll að því að sigla saman?"

Skald Speakers:

"how did you all come to sail together?"

Female Half-Elf Bloodrager 4| HP 40/40 | AC 16 (T 12, F 14) | CMB +8, CMD 20 | F +6, R +3, W +3 (+2 vs Charm and Compulsion) (All +1 vs Arcane Spells) | Init +3 | Perc +9 | Speed 40 | Rage 12/12

The man's question really surprises Bryndís. The immediate bluntness is part of it, but she'd certainly never received any compliments about her appearance when she was in Kalsgard either.

It also makes things very dicey. There are a lot of them, and they're already drunk. A flat rejection could go over badly. Suggesting that there was any chance in hell she could be interested in any of them could lead to things among them getting competitive. The situation could go sideways and get out of control very suddenly.

She decides she needs to come up with some sort of third option quickly.

Bryndís chuckles at the combined question and compliment.

"Það var aldrei sagt við mig svona ljúfa hluti allan þann tíma sem ég bjó fyrir norðan. Ég þurfti að ferðast marga kílómetra í burtu þaðan til að norðanmaður gæti sagt þær.

Skald Speakers:

"No such sweet things were ever said to me in all the time I lived in the north. I had to travel many miles away from there for a northman to say them."

Bryndís keeps her tone light and friendly as she talks. She also takes her hands and brushes her hair back behind her ears on the off chance they had remained concealed from sight. As she brings her arms back down, Bryndís steals another glance at the elf to see if there is any reaction, though she's almost positive he already knows.

"Ertu nú þegar með heimþrá? Eða er munurinn að ég er núna með sverð á beltinu?"

Skald Speakers:

"Are you already homesick? Or is the difference that now I wear a sword on my belt?"

After this bit of joking, Bryndís becomes more sincere.

"En þú ert góður félagsskapur og þú hefur spurt spurninga þinnar með góðum siðum. Því mun ég svara í sama anda. Ég fer bara með konur í rúmið mitt."

Skald Speakers:

"But, you are good company and you have asked your question with good manners. So I will answer it in the same spirit. I only take women to my bed."

Female Half-Elf Bloodrager 4| HP 40/40 | AC 16 (T 12, F 14) | CMB +8, CMD 20 | F +6, R +3, W +3 (+2 vs Charm and Compulsion) (All +1 vs Arcane Spells) | Init +3 | Perc +9 | Speed 40 | Rage 12/12

It is reassuring to Bryndís when she hears from the big man they are joining the crusade. If they are journeying away from the Linnorm Kingdoms more time will pass before they return. They will have better and more memorable stories to tell when they do return. Also, it is quite likely they will all die anyway. She relaxes some.

"Ó! Þið sverið öll eiðinn um að berjast í púkalöndunum! Mjög áhrifamikið! Stríðsmaður gat ekki fundið betri stað til að öðlast auð og frægð. Við verðum að drekka skál fyrir framtíðarævintýrum þínum!"

Skald Speakers:

"Oh! You all are taking the oath to fight in the Worldwound! Very impressive! A warrior could not find a better place to gain wealth and fame. We must drink a toast to your future adventures!"

Bryndís turns toward the bar and calls for drinks all around the tables on her. Figuring the promise of free booze will keep the warriors busy being happy for a few moments, she makes eye contact with the pale elf as she turns back. She gives him a questioning look with a raised eyebrow. She's curious about him, guessing he is Ilverani based on the sample of two or three of them, including her father, that Bryndís has seen in her life.

Her glance at the elf is brief, something seems strange and this is probably not the best time to probe. Bryndís instead continues speaking with the large man.

"Ég þakka þér fyrir boðið að koma með þér. Ég yrði heiður. Hins vegar hef ég þegar gefið loforð um mitt eigið. Ég fer til Ustalav. Það eru vampírur og dýrkun illrar gyðju sem þarf að leggja fyrir sverðið. Launin eru góð og mér líkar vel við vinnuveitandann."

Skald Speakers:

"I thank you for the invitation to come with you. I would be honored. However I have already made a pledge of my own. I depart for Ustalav. There are vampires and the cult of an evil goddess who need put to the sword. The pay is good, and I like the employer."

"Segðu mér, ætlarðu að sigla þangað á skipi þínu, fara upp með Sellen ánni?"

Skald Speakers:

"Tell me, will you sail there in your ship, going up the Sellen River?"

As the drinks begin to arrive, Bryndís squeezes her way into a place at a table. She also communicates a quick message back to her companions at the bar. Her expression and quick head shake tells them "Nope, stay away. This is my business to handle."

Female Half-Elf Bloodrager 4| HP 40/40 | AC 16 (T 12, F 14) | CMB +8, CMD 20 | F +6, R +3, W +3 (+2 vs Charm and Compulsion) (All +1 vs Arcane Spells) | Init +3 | Perc +9 | Speed 40 | Rage 12/12

Bryndís isn't going to bargain or compromise with the sword. It will have to learn and accept that she makes the decisions.

You will be patient and control yourself. Do not disturb me.

"We will take both. They are even in the same city's area. The extra commission will make the long time spent traveling worth it."

It's irritating that the men from the ship have come to the tavern. It is one thing to dodge them down on the wharves, but here avoiding them would be more memorable than engaging with them probably would be. Bryndís decides to keep the conversation as brief as possible.

She pushes the pile of lockets toward Sheila.

"Yes, take them and do what you can."

Running the fingers of both hands through her hair to fluff and straighten it out a bit also allows her to position it to hide her ears. Bryndís gets up from the bar, saying "I will go greet my countrymen." Then, she walks over to their tables. When is she close enough she says hello.

"Vel mætt með flækingum. Ferðu til að versla, til að ráðast á, eða hvort tveggja ef auðæfi leyfir? Ég er Hjördís. Þessi borg er Magimar þar sem viðskiptin eru góð, svo hagið yður hér að þú gætir verið velkominn aftur ef þú kemur aftur."

Skald Speakers:

"Well met fellow wanderers. Do you travel to trade, to raid, or both as fortune permits? I am Hjordis. This city is Magimar where the trading is good, so behave yourselves here that you might be welcome again if you return."

Even if one doesn't speak Skald, the tone of Bryndís's voice toward the end suggests she is joking or teasing a little, maybe to break the ice.

Bryndís is surprised and curious about her sword's reaction to Sheila Heidmarch. This emotion feels different than the ones that she has felt before she thinks. The sword is happy, or satisfied, when it is doing violence. When too much time passes in peace, the sword grows restless, perhaps petulant in it's impatience.

Either way, the emotion is generalized. As far as she can tell, killing more or less anything is good enough. Directed hatred is quite a different thing. At the risk of seeming distracted, Bryndís decides to try something new. She concentrates and tries to communicate with the sword using her mind.

What is the problem?

She keeps things simple for the first test.

Bryndís is content to remain on deck while sailing to Magnimar. Mostly she lounges and watches what the crew does while operating the ship. She figures anything she learns might be useful someday.

She's spent some time in Magimar, so on arrival Bryndís needs no extra time to orient herself or take in the sights. Her first priority is getting to the Pathfinder Society lodge and locking down any bounties available in Ustalav.

When she notices the ships from Kalsgard, Bryndís expedites her departure from the docks while trying to stay in crowds or keep plenty of people between herself and line of sight to the ships. She also tries to be subtle about it.

Sense Motive DC 17:

You notice Bryndís is aware of the Ulfen ships and is actively trying to avoid being seen by anyone on or around them.

Bluff: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

At the Pathfinder Lodge, Bryndís seizes upon Sheila Heidmarch's question about further commissions.

"Like Wayilant said, we have one for Ustalav. But, since we are laready going so far, we also want the other commissions there. We will do them all before we come back. What are they?"

"There is another thing about the slavers, something I do not know if we can settle ourselves."

Bryndís takes out the small bag she has been carrying the lockets in and dumps them all out of the bar.

"All the women in these lockets are dead now. These were made by the slavers. Since the pictures show who they are, their families could find out what happened to them. But who would know how to find where the families are best? We do not have the time to look before we leave, so we should give these to someone who can do this."

In looking through the lockets, Bryndís finds they are quite counter to what she had expected. Rather than varying a great deal, in age, quality, the subject represented, and other traits, they seem uniform. Only young women are the subjects. They do not seem to be what one would expect if they were items taken from the women. If they were, the parents, relatives, and loved ones of the women would be the subjects.

"I think these were not taken from the women. They were made to show the women. These were not presents either. They are like a catalogue for customers to use for choosing who to buy."

The time passes for Bryndís in a sedate and mundane way. A bit of eating, a bit of drinking, selling stuff off for cash, and some sleep when not doing those other things. The high point is the purchase by her of a stout composite longbow compatible with her strength. It's time for her to relegate the her sling to backup when other backup weapons fail.

She is neutral on the question of how to travel to Magnimar. Walking, going by caravan, or taking passage on a ship are all fine and will get them where they're going.

Buying a +4 Strength composite longbow. Did we ever figure out the black studded leather armor?

After all the stuff has been sorted and accounted, Bryndís goes looking for the group of kids Julie used to run with. When she tracks them down, she gives each of them 3 gold coins. Bryndís is feeling flush, and the only real point of wealth is to convert it into prestige by demonstrating great generosity.

Besides, Julie's recent good fortune only illuminates how much the other kids' lives suck.

Despite any hopes Wayilant might have, Bryndís continues to be damnably practical about things.

"Later we can look for the right kind of stick. It is a good way to start teaching the sling because it is the same kind of arm movement. But now we have business."

Apple flinging is really a thing if you don't know. You need a small branch from a tree that's thin, but strong enough to sharpen for skewering small apples on it. It needs to be green so it has flex enough to bend when you whip it. Then, you fling the apple by by holding the end of the stick without the apple and using an overhand swing about the same as you'd use playing jai alai. Similar to using an atlatl for a spear, you can get amazing speed and distance. Great fun far away from windows or other objects and people who shouldn't get hit with a 70 mph apple.

Bryndís practically drools openly at the Sheriff's mention of a 10,000 payout, and with half up front! She had already pushed the idea of going to Ustalav, so she is all in.

The whole 'airship' thing sounds very unnatural and dodgy to her, but she judges the money worth the possible hazards. Besides, if the thing acually works, it's just a trade of some known risks for a new set less known risks. It could be an even trade or thereabouts, and apparently the gnome isn't dead yet so why not?

Bryndís also votes to sell the ship to Sandpoint. It might be true it is worth more on the open market, but then there would be the trouble and waiting of finding a buyer. More than that though, Bryndís judges it too early to own a ship. The group has made some good money, and their streak is continuing, but she sees no immediate use for a ship, and they are not yet rich enough to pay overhead expenses on an item that will just sit around. Despite what the ignorant might think her origins imply, Bryndís is no seafarer and finds no intrinsic value in having a ship just to cruise around in a ship.

In the longer-term things may change. Having the reach a ship offers could expand their opportunities, but they have plenty at hand already. Also, once they are very wealthy, the expense of a ship will shrink proportionally.

And in the longest term, keeping very good relations with Sandpoint, favors done and so forth, can pay off well for her. Sandpoint is a pretty decent place. Mayor Bryndís sounds good. Mayor for Life Bryndís sounds even better.

When the Sheriff says "depending on the circumstances, it might be as simple as a conversation with a meaningful representative of this cult. Or, it might literally mean the cult has to be eliminated.", Bryndís hears eliminate the cult unless you simply can't.

She replies "there are six of us. We are very strong now. We will do what it takes so this will not happen again." She doesn't do mushy 'we love you' or 'we are proud to have you' stuff, so she simply states a number that includes Govrina, Darius, and Gravi.

"Well..." says Bryndís as she stands from her chair, "We have things to sort and sell. We should go look through the things and get started."

While she doesn't bring it up in the presence of the Sheriff, Bryndís has not at all forgotten the Pathfinder Society contract in Ustalav. It's a juicy amount as well. She will be urging the others to claim that mission as well so they can get a two for one journey deal. Efficiency matters.

Looking through the ledger again, when the time has come for it I still like the look of the Ustalav job. There's also a Kaer Maga job that could be a halfway through the journey bonus if we went overland.

Bryndís sleeps in a little, but not so much she misses the morning. She feels fine due to her talent for shrugging of the aftereffects of her overindulgences.

Since her last meal was eggs, Bryndís decides to skip breakfast at the Rusty Dragon. Instead She takes another shot at buying some pastries from Sandpoint Savories and eating them in peace with no disruption unlike last time.

So the trip out is also productive, Bryndís stuffs the crossbows and longswords they've collected into a sack she takes along so she can go to Savah's Armory afterward and see about selling them off.

I don't think anyone has their eye on the regular longswords or crossbows for keeping. If you do speak up now.

I'll have to mull a little on the ship choices. I think Bryndís would be willing to put the creep factor aside for a decent profit in selling the ship though.

Keep it would be cool, but there's a lot of extra complication there. Also nobody knows anything about sailing.

When Bryndís awakens she gets a bath and cleans up. Afterward, she settles in with her weapons and whetstone. The sword needs no work. She's noticed that it never does, which is a little disappointing actually since Bryndís finds the activities involved in caring for her kit soothing. Still, she has her spear, dagger, axe, and kunai to attend to, just to be be extra sure they are honed and ready. Next, she gives her armor a thorough going over.

By the time all those things are done, Bryndís can no longer ignore her hunger. She goes downstairs and has a plate of eggs and about four beers, which makes her feel enough like her normal self to start talking. Her divergent schedule has left her out of synch with most everyone else, so she finds strangers' ears to bend. Of course this involves telling tales involving a sea battle against undead, risen from the depths of the sea in the midst of a ferocious storm.

Dreadful was the enemy, implacable in their drive to bring death to all. Great were the deeds done to vanquish them. As she begins to become more well lubricated and relaxed, Bryndís also keeps an eye peeled for any good looking Varisian men who might be about, long, dark, curly hair preferred.

Not sure if Bryndís needs to make another FORT check for the drowning thing. It might be 3 consecutive saves? Anyway, if she does I guess she's not doing anything this round. If not she'll move and attack. She'll have flanking this time.

With the first mummy destroyed, Bryndís goes right, rushing up the stairs. She closes in on another mummy and attacks.
