What are the limitations to movement in zero G using Psychokinetic Hand on yourself?

You are weightless, so I assume you can "push" something on yourself to propel around in zero G.

But once you get moving you start to generate energy and reach the limits of Psychokinetic Hand.

So how fast can you go? And would it give you excellent mobility at slow speeds?

Thanks for any insight!

Last night, our GM was trying to generate a random magic weapon for us in a treasure trove. He has the Table 15-8, etc from PF Core, but was looking for a "type" generator. Like dagger, cestus, great sword, etc.

Anyone have a good place to find a random weapon generation table?

Doesn't need to be magical, just one to randomize what you have found.

Armor would be cool as well. :)

Thanks!

An arduous and exhausting toil in the GM Dungeons of Atlanta Comic Con, but what a wondrous thing it was!
I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I had here. Oh, wait a sec.. Yes I can! So here goes (this may be long, but I want to get it down on the messageboards for posterity sake).

Mike Brock: THANK YOU!!!!!!

You went so far and above and beyond anyone’s wildest expectations for any Con I have ever participated in before! It was free for anyone attending, so there was no monetary gain for Mike. But his passion for Pathfinder is simply amazing. We had foam board printouts (tabletop scale) of every Scenario ready to go, Chronicle sheets, Table tents, battlemats, miniatures, pregens, character sheets, flip maps, etc. You name it, and we had access to it. The schedule was easy to understand and the timetable moved along smoothly. The Shadow Lodge event was EXTREMELY fun! I know my table had an awesome time, and so did I. It was well tuned and organized. The smiles and friendly gaming continued on into Sunday night even when they opened up the back door and tried to freeze us out. LOL. Thank you again!

My Players: Thank you too!!!!!

GM’ing can sometimes truly be a task. That was not the case this weekend. Each and every character who sat down at my table was a wonder to behold. The attention to detail and the fleshed out stories behind each one were fantastic! I wanted to mention a few here:

GRUG! The Innkeeper of the Barbary Inn. With his great axe “Treechoppa” and his pet monkey Bobo.

Turanga, and her ½ orc charms trying to seduce the above mentioned Barbarian. LOL

Aramis the Amazing. I was completely amazed at his ability to do more damage to himself than the foes. 

Dragon and his pet , whom he taught the trick “Hump”.

Dash, Gnome monk and bartender at the Barbary Inn. “Shooter!” Their key phrase for throw me!

Carla, “INCOMING! You have 6 seconds to evacuate!” Kerrrsplash! “Sorry!” Hahahaha

Trildor and her awesome ale, Tasty! I know Dash enjoyed riding around on your Velociraptor.

Kilroy and his Lycanthrope. OMG!!! A backstory from Brian! /faint Love ya B. 

Phell, Paladin of Iomedae – Gray and colorless, but full of life. Vanquisher of HELLHOUNDS!

Rasp / Blitz: Price tags on his weapons, “AoO? Forget it! I’m not soiling my fingers.”

Turok – Sneaky ½ git and his bags of skin! “Hmmm… this tattoo looks good” /skinning

Tursic – His knowledge of the game was beyond human! And a damn good fighter to boot!

Murahi – Crossbowman of legend!

Lyshr – Savior of the Infernal Vault! Lord of the Dual Whips! Womanizer extraordinaire!

Hrothgar – Nothing can stop the Hrothgar. “How did you get by Janks?” “Oh, he let us through.” /evilgrin

Ignatius – Literally, thank the “Gods” for channel. Without him, there would be 5 less adventurers.

Kakarot – And you thought Carla’s bombs were bad… oh boy. No warning on these 10 footers!

And last, but not least:

Godric, The pan flute playing Rage Prophet! His prowess with the flute is unrivaled. He distracted the great dragon Zythrustianax and allowed everyone to slip past the mighty beast! “Greta”, the Great Axe, a prized family possession he wields with great skill. Kudos to you Godric!

Here are a few Highlights from my games (vague spoiler references below):

My personal favorite (all were fun) is going to be made into a movie, “The Kung-fu Citadel of Flame!” /GONG.
This group had 3 monks, a druid, a summoner, a rage prophet , and a Barbarian w/ cleric splash.

Any time something AoE happened, it was another good laugh as the monks easily dodged. A 15ft ranged trap went off at one point when all 3 monks were in front. “Eisolon avoids, and jumps back a square.” Ok, and now “Teth-Amon avoids. He jumps up and lands on Eisolon’s shoulders.” The last to save was “Dash avoids the fire. He jumps up and grabs hold of Teth-Amon” The guys then each stood up and posed for their Cirque du Soleil “picture”. Classic!

Later in the Scenario, the party came across a bridge with a gap in it. Eisolon literally “jumped” at the occasion to show off his acrobatic prowess. He stepped up to the gap, and without a running start, leapt across!

He turned around and looked back with a smug, but friendly, smile upon his face. Teth-Amon walked up to the edge of the gap, turned his back to it, and sprang from the ledge. Flipping end over end, he landed safely on the other side, with at least 10 ft to spare. He calmly brushed the dust from his already clean hands.

Dash, never to be outdone by his “overgrown” counterparts, looked up at Grug and said, “Shooter”, their key phrase for toss me! Grug picked up the gnome and from 20 feet back of the gap threw the gnome. Just as Grug started to roll, Dash (JT in RL) looked at me and said, “Btw, how far down is it?”
“50ft” I responded. The look on his face was priceless, he turned to Grug as if to say, “NO WAIT!” but the d20 had left his hands and was headed for the table. HAHAHA. He made it, and Dash even made the landing look good.

The Rage prophet got in on the action and slid across the gap with his watery powers. Then the summoner was next, he approached the gap. Suddenly! Right before he went to cross , a giant flying… but wait, that’s another tale for another time…

In another Scenario, Grug the Barbarian, encountered his first Spectre. Godric succeeded on his Knowledge (Religion) roll and identified the creature. His first round of action, Godric revealed to the party one of the features he knew about the undead foe, “Beware! For this foe can drain your essence at a mere touch!”. Out of game, Grug asked what he meant. Godric let him know it meant level drain.
Matthew, aka Grug, looked back at me, his face a mask of fear and drained of all color, “I draw my bow” LOL. Everyone laughed. The big bad beast of a Barbarian had finally met his match! They cajoled him until finally they pleaded, “You can’t hit with that thing. You’ve got to use your axe! PLEASE!”
Reluctantly, Grug re-equipped his axe and charged in. There were only two choices for the spectre to attack during his turn, Grug or Godric. “Even, its Grug. Odd, its Godric” I rolled. The die must have taken at least a minute to stop it’s wild ride across the table and finally come to rest on a 13. Matthew’s sigh of relief was more a yell. We all burst out laughing again from the obvious strife Matthew was experiencing. I went on to miss hitting Godric and then die by the hands of the party.
Great fun!

In another scenario, the apes in the room are going crazy but do not attack the PC’s. When the PC’s approached in a hostile manner, the poo started flying!
SPLAT!

Yet another scenario:
The gnome monk, Dash, mounted the druid’s velociraptor and sprang half way through the Black Tentacles blocking the middle of the room. Making his riding check, he then made an acrobatics check to jump from the back of the beast to the other side of the Tentacles. He rolled a natural 20 and landed with style! The sorceress knew she was in trouble.

Lyshur, a dual wielding whip master, and known womanizer, was trapped by the sorceress’s Black Tentacles. The rest of the party, besides Dash, was trapped as well. Needing a 20 to escape, he attempted to force his way out. The roll… Natural 20! He swiftly moved into the room with the sorceress. Looking at her 22 Charisma and her Chelaxian heraldry, he paused. Then in his heavy Chelaxian ( read Rastafarian) accent, “Hey der jah sexy tang, howz about you and I be takin doze notes back to Cheliax, and leave deez othas behind. Eeh?” She looked him up and down, then back at the party wrapped in the grasp of her Tentacles, and tried to cast Eagles Splendor on Lyshur (she wanted to see how he would look at a 20 Charisma). He resisted and she asked, “How well can you use those whips?” He whipped them around her, caught the ends in either hand and pulled her close. He began to … (CENSORED for family content website)… and they journeyed off to Cheliax together. Party saved!

All in all, a fantastic weekend!
Thanks again to everyone who participated to make it such a joy to attend!

I was told by a DM in a Pathfinder Society game that if the Fighter in fullplate were to fall off of the boat, that he wouldn't get a chance to save. He would just die.

I don't give a crap. That means your GM is cheating.

EDIT: To put it a bit more eloquently, we're discussing the rules here, and monks. The fact of the matter is an 8th level fighter is probably sporting an 18, 20, or better strength. If he's bothered, he's sporting a +11 swim modifier from ranks alone. So that's +15-16 right there. That means even in Full Plate (-6 check penalty) he's got a +10 to swim, and that's before factoring in armor training or masterwork armor, which would mean it's more like +12.

Sorry, but D&D heroes do crazy stuff all the time.

EDIT 2: Likewise, I openly question your GMs validity and credentials to be a GM for a public game like that if he's ignoring so many rules and likewise handicapping the fighter and his armor training. He or she is not fit to be a GM in a publicly run game where everyone is expected to adhere to the rules.

I agree with you Ashiel!

The GM in question said he wouldn't "suggest" the fighter try and swim(He was clutching the side of an overturned boat). Cause when he looked at his sheet, the fighter (lvl 2) had a -6 to his swim (Full Plate, Lg Shield, Str 17). The likelihood of his staying afloat was in question (Rough Water DC15).

He was also not denied a save. That would be cheating, and I wouldn't stand for it, and neither should that player or others.

Thanks,
GM whose been openly questioned, and hopefully, openly answered. :)
