Mea watches the other pathfinders practicing. "Wow, that's some really good jumping. Way better than I can jump and I'm like...really strong. I bet you'll be flyin in no time!" She looks over at Oocha and grins. "And as for you, see if you can follow me!" She takes off flying through the grounds with a series of aerobatic maneuvers, swooping under bridges, around the towers and weaving through trees with practiced ease, always just ahead of him.
A blue streak flashes down from the top of Skyreach and circles around Oocha before stopping a few yards in front of him. It resolves as a Tien Tiefling woman in a fine blue dress and mithral armor, with shimmering patches of metallic black scales over her body, and a thin silver halo floats above her head. Glowing orange tattoos of a variety of dragons ripple across the exposed skin on her arms and the deep blue membranes of her large draconic wings which flap rythmically to keep her aloft. Her imposing build should be intimidating along with her wild mane and six large horns that frame her face. However, her goofy smile gives away no ill intent but adds to the menacing look, revealing a mouth too full of crimson-stained, needle-like teeth. "You look like you're having a lot of fun there! Wanna train and get stronger at flying together?"

I played Race as Mea, the black dragon, strongest wizard in the society, along with a cleric of Milani, a 10-attack gunslinger, and an arcanist. We'd all been playing together since the first part of eyes. There were a memorable parts for me, one of which I alluded to up-thread. In order to get the gold, Mea and Aristotle the arcanist turned invisible and snuck into the sleeping camp. Aristotle found the jubjub bird and opened the cage. Mea, simple-minded Mea, was told to get the gold, so she picked up the wagon the gold was in and flew back to Magnimar with it. That of course set the alarm off, waking up the camp. But none of them ever saw any pathfinders, they just woke up to their gold literally flying away and an angry jubjub bird poking it's head out of the other wagon. Mea tried to fight the Hydra alone as a dragon, but couldn't do low enough damage with one claw per round to keep it alive for long enough. Oops. At the end, blindsense gave away the assassin. One hit from her pummeling charge splattered him across the cobblestones, which left the arcanist and gunslinger wanting something to do. So our cleric breath of lifed him. After it was all over, she retired to her lodge on the moon to look after her books and a few wayward dragons she collected along the way.

"Heehee I just flew off with the wagon with all the gold on it"
I fighted a lot of dragons and made friends with even more and I made a lodge on the moon cuz I like it up there and cuz I'm a adventure captain. I ate a lot of chocolate and fighted a lot of bad people, and I readed a lot of books. I helped the decemberists and now I got a school in Korvosa too. One time that one adventure captain said to bring her some gold so I took her the whole wagon full of it and dropped it on her roof.
Having navigated the abyssal swamp and the moon lodge with its draconic defenders, the PCs enter the Library, lair of Venture Captain Mea. This vast room is overflowing with a mountainous hoard of tens of thousands of books, including the tome which the PCs seek. When she becomes aware of the PCs, Mea uses ghost sound to call to them at enormous volume. "Pathfinders, welcome to my lodge! What can I help ya with?" While Mea is willing to let cooperative pathfinders study the book, she demands to arm wrestle one of them before she will allow them to do so. If the PCs are belligerent or particularly uncooperative with her or each other, she will engage them nonlethally while berating them to be good pathfinders and cooperate. Before Combat Mea has cast extended heroism and extended comprehend languages. If she is aware of the PC's arrival, she casts good hope. If she has reason to expect a fight, she activates her unfettered shirt and eagle totem tattoo (talons), casts mirror image, displacement, vanish, and contingent action to approach the nearest PC. If the PCs are particularly boastful before combat, she drinks a strength mutagen and activates form of the dragon II. During Combat Mea begins combat in Dragon Style. On her first turn, she rages, activates Archaeologist's Luck, and charges using either charging stag style or pummeling style. Afterwards, she attempts to engage as many PCs in melee as possible with full attacks. She prefers to test her strength against dragons, evil outsiders, and strong melee combatants. Morale If a single PC deals more than 100 HP of damage to her within one round, she activates raging brutality and focuses on that PC. If brought below 50 HP, she calls for the fight to stop and congratulates the PCs on being strong and offering a good fight. She finds the tome for the PCs and allows them all the time and resources they need to study it.

Mea looks very confused at Keeks' reaction. "But you're a pathfinder. You're not a bad person. I don't hurt people if they aren't doing bad. Arm wrestle, maybe." She scoops her coins back into their pouch, leaving a platinum on the table. "Cuz it's so good!" After she stows the pouch, she gingerly pulls something out of a pack at the small of her back and a mildly disgruntled quack ensues. Mea pulls out a somewhat disheveled duck. "Wanna pet my duck?"
Mea gets back up and puts away the book she'd gotten out when she got bored with all the counting. Dumping out some of the contents of her coin purse, she asks "Why are you so scared of choc-o-lits? You make 'em real tasty. Here, this might be enough" She pushes over a small heap of gold and silver pieces over with a few platinum sticking out. It probably totals about 75 gold.
"Uuuhh..." You can almost hear the gears grinding in her head as Mea stares off into space, haphazardly attempting to count up on her fingers. After a few moments she gives up and doffs an incredibly well-worn haversack decorated with eastern dragon patterns. She opens up one of the side pouches towards Keeks, revealing an extradimensional space containing at least 10 pounds of fine Taldan chocolate in various chunks. Despite the large amount of chocolate, the space is only about half full. "Fill it up, please!" she says with a grin.
The tiefling spreads a pair of large draconic wings tattooed with glowing images of a variety of dragons and swoops down to stand in front of the shop. She studies the chocolates for a moment before grabbing one and popping it in her mouth. Her eyes light up as she chews, and with a mouthful of chocolate she spews "I'll take em!"
A robustly built Tiefling, pale-skinned where she isn't covered by shining black scales, rolls over from where she was laying and reading a book on a nearby rooftop. She lazily scratches at one of her six horns and calls out to the shopkeeper, "You got any chock-o-lit?". In doing so she reveals a mouth too full of needle-sharp crimson teeth.
Farak, the Most Powerful Mage wrote:
Hmm. That accounting does make sense. I'll keep that in mind for the...one adventure going forward, ha. Mea invites Farak to catch up so that they might share the title. Or, if he'd like to challenge her for it, she would be happy to arm wrestle him for it.
Raise dead! Mea Culpa, Venture Captain of the Moon and the Strongest Wizard in the Society, may have supplanted Farak, the Most Powerful Mage in *ALL* Absalom, as the most famous Shadow Lodge member. She is currently level 19.2 with 114 fame after taking on Runelord Karzoug, continuing in the spirit of the Shadow Lodge and doing what Grand Mister Torch taught her.
"Sure, you can come!" Mea pauses to think for a moment. "We could hire a wizard to tellyport us or find a space dragon, but they aren't very nice. Or I could just fly us to the portal from the Acadamiry, that'd take about a day." "It's good these kids are fighting the bad guys then. Why are they different from Pathfinders and adventures who already do that?"
"They're broke, the demons made them so you can't read them anymore. Some of them, anyway. I'll go back up soon, I'm just doing papers here for it now." She seems to consider the talk about bandits in the Foreign Quarter and Petal District. "Why don't you just fight the bad guys, or call the guards?"
"We did find a buncha treasures and a buncha people, and a big library to add to my hoard. Still goin through the books though. Why, lookin for something? Mea takes the refilled cup and shoots it back, then offers some chocolate to the other two ladies. "So these Azlantis are helping people then? Like Mister Torch's shadow lodge, but with more spears?"
"Well, us Pathfinders are here to learn about the viggle Azlantism, and all the other Azlantis,so that should be fine." Mea takes a sip of tea, trying unsuccessfully to sip as delicately as Lady d'Apcher. She stares into the cup a moment before shrugging and pulling some chocolate to gnaw on out of her haversack. "I know a bit about the Moonscar though, yeah, and I'm learnin more. It's nice! Lots of big spiky trees and dragons and demons to fight. And I'm even more stronger there! I'm startin a lodge there, we just gotta enervate the buildings some first."
Mea waves at the newcomer. "Hi! I'm Mea. You wanna talk? Is this about the moon, or fighting evil?" Looking over Lady d'Apcher, Mea's eyes light up on her dress. The tiefling motions to her own dress, which has definitely seen some recent wear and hasn't been completely cleaned. Mea clearly values function over form, but the dresses do seem to bear a very faint resemblance in style. "I like your dress, I think we got it the same place!"
Mea replies to Yuuno. "I don't know where she was from, but I 'member she lived in a big house with a lot of girls. Maybe you knew my master though? You fighted kinda the same." Mea slips into Dragon Style again, then executes a powerful but rusty Punishing Kick to the air in front of her. "Maybe he was at your monsterary!"
Mea grumpily concentrates for a moment before shifting into the form of an imposing pitborn tiefling squeezed into her lamellar armor, with large horns and a mouthful of far too many crimson needles. She's pale-skinned with mixed Ustalavic and Tien features, but with dark-gray mottling around numerous clusters of shiny black scales. She pulls a wand out of her bag and presses it against her face a few times until she's healed up, then pulls out a handful of what looks like reddish strands of bark covered with half-melted chocolate and starts chewing. She sits down and starts watching Auriea dance.
"I like the pathfinders cuz I get to adventure and help people and read lots of books! When I'm a adventure captain, I'm gonna start a great-Grand-lodge with my books and my hoard and everyone there can explore and help each other like grand mister torch teached us." Mea cuts a towering silhouette, with features hinting at a melange of ancestry including Ustalavic, Tien, and Abyssal roots as well as an ever-expanding black dragon influence. Her mouth is too full of needle-like teeth stained a dark crimson, revealing a long-standing habit of taking Shoanti barbarian chew. The plate in front of her is piled with raw meat that's at least a week past its prime and next to it sits a stack of chocolates. Her soft figure strains against the lamellar armor she wears and barely hides musculature that could bend an iron door in half without much effort.
Hi everyone! I'm Mea! I can really be a dragon now! Mr. Valspar won't let me go on missions anymore after we killed the lic..lick...witch for him so I guess I'm gonna go to Adventure Captain class now soon. Nice to meet you all! Mea Culpa, tiefling black dragon disciple, reached level 12 last night and is now ready for Eyes of the Ten!
I know a lot cuz I read lots of books and I punch really hard and sometimes if someone's having a hard time I can make them the hero for a while! Mea has bardic knowledge (with rolls at a -1), pretty good natural attacks, and a bit of buffing including Heroism that she'll liberally apply to people. She has a bag full of weird items too, and the kind of happy-go-lucky outlook that only Int 6 can bring.
