Traits:

Personality/Appearance:

Sassy and quick witted, Beatrice the witch can be as ornery as she can be sensitive and sympathetic. She stands 5ft11, with long and fine/wispy/slightly wavy dishwater blonde hair, fair/lightly-freckled skin and brown eyes. She has a humble and simple beauty. She commonly wears tight leather pants with sturdy boots, a leather halter top, a short leather riding jacket and a wide brimmed hat. Growing up in a landscape at unrest, on the family farm and raised predominately by men she definitely has a comparatively western-cowgirl "one of the boys" kind of attitude. She is a loved and valued member of her community both as a novice healer and as a generally helpful hand hunting or farming. Bea rides a horse named Fever and her familiar is a toad named Mud.

Backstory:

Beatrice Bohlkc aka Beatrice the Witch, or "Bea", is a 19 year old half-elf from southern Brevoy near the forest to the west of Rostov. Her people are predominately of human Kellid and Kyonin elven decent. Her immediate family consists of her elven mother, her elven grandfather, an older human half-brother(from her human father's previous marriage) and her human aunt and half-elf uncle with their newborn. Bea's father died when she was very young. The family fled long ago, before Bea was born, from a small settlement striped of its last defenses. Making their way further south these farmers and healers started a new life as pioneers and survivalists.

Her father Marcal, her grandfather Neiel and her uncle Balwyyn first started patrolling the wood's borders and began building the house her family live in today before Bea was born. The patrols were a way to maintain contact with other familiar and friendly pioneer folk trying their luck in the south as well as providing free healing services and food rations to those in need. These patrols often led to altercations with bandits and other ill intended denizens of the area and it was during one such altercation in which Bea's father lost his life. Alexi, her older half brother was 23 when their father died, Bea was only 3.
With the guidance and support of her grandfather and Alexi, Bea learned all about hunting, riding and healing from a very early age. She and Alexi now lead the patrols with their uncle while their grandfather spends more of his time on the farm with his daughter Ullei, Beatrice's mother. Aunt Mathild mostly tends to the house and cares for her newborn, Paswyyn.

It is from her father that Bea gets her natural knack for healing, not necessarily from her elven blood. Her father was a cleric of Desna, an old traditional worship passed down from his distant Kellish roots and though Bea is not religious, it is the Ancestor patron that has granted her a witch's class and she carries with her a wooden holy symbol of Desna that belonged to her father in homage to her family.

Very close and loyal to her family, Bea has a strong love and pride for where she grew up. When she first heard about the charter she immediately felt compelled and even destined to sign up. Her family for the most part saw it other wise. Living removed and undetected from larger government/politics for some time definitely struck skeptical chords, particularly with Alexi and Her grandfather. However, Bea saw it as a chance to do the good thing on a larger scale, and perhaps a greater security for the future of her kin.
