Hello boards. I'm trying to figure out what AP to run for 2 players, if that ends up being the road we travel. Yes, I understand AP are made for a party of 4, with varying differences in party make up. I'm aware they're not really meant to be handled by 2 players. I don't care. You let me worry about that. I'm just trying to learn whether or not there are certain APs that will work better than others for 2 people. I was thinking Council of Thieves might be a good one, but I'd like to know some other thoughts. Thanks!
I created a lovely Winter Witch recently that for problems getting a coherent party of 4 people (had 3, couldn't get the 4th). I've grown quite fond of her, and have a very strong desire to play her. I have no preference for the type of game, as long as it's not somewhere where she's going to be entirely useless. I decided to post here in case someone is looking for that last little addition to their configuration. I may try posting in other threads, but this seemed worth pursuing as well. If you'd like to speak about an adoption, feel free to send me a message or post here.
Hello all, I'm just wondering if anyone had any ideas about building characters or adventures from well known fairy tales. If you need more information on what I mean by fairy tales, I suppose that can be provided, but I'm talking about basically any children's story or some such thing. Also might play a bit with making an Alice in Wonderland type thing. If anyone has any ideas or knows of anything like this that's already been done (aside for The Harrowing module) I'd love to see it. Thanks!
Hello people. Right now, I'm finishing up my new character, and I'm stuck on what to get for her. I've got 150gp, and I really don't know what to buy. She doesn't need any armor, and I don't expect to be using her in melee range... ever (I hope). She does have a good Dexterity, but is not proficient with any Bows, just Crossbows, and with only being proficient with Simple Weapons, there isn't much in the way of weaponry for her. So I've got 150gp to spend on... anything that I normally don't spend gold on. Help me out guys. What do you think? I might give her a Longspear, since she can use it, and it has Reach, but other than that, I don't think I'll be giving her a weapon. Her spells and Hexes should work just fine.
I'm looking for pretty much any advice on running a game for one PC, by themselves. There will probably be NPCs to help them out in their adventure, but I'm looking for advice specifically for running published adventures. Tricks like Gestalt, and starting at a higher level only provide so much, and later in the course of things, simply aren't enough. Action Economy is the biggest issue I see with doing something like this. Anyone have any advice to help me out? This is not something that I'm doing right now, but I have been thinking about it lately, and may do so soon. Thanks.
It is a dreary, cloudy day in the small town of Ravengro. Many of the townfolk have come out to the cemetery for the burial of the late Petros Lorrimor. Sir Gavin, a newcomer who has just come to town is present for the funeral. A lady approaches Gavin, and after catching his attention, asks "How is it that you came to this burial?" She is slim and attractive, at first glance. She seems to have a scholarly appearance, in her mid 20's.
This is a recruitment thread for the Carrion Crown AP. It will be for one PC, using Gestalt rules. The player will roll 4d6 drop the lowest for their stats. I am doing this as a "trial run" of sorts to get a feel for how to run it with One PC for my friend. If there are any other questions, please ask. Everything non-3rd Party is allowed. Third-Party ok if you talk to me about it.
I am going to start running the Way of the Wicked AP, and I need two or three more players. To keep it simple, and see what kind of ideas you guys can come up with, I will allow everything on D20, with the exception of 3pp things. It's not to say that isn't allowed, but you will need to run it by me first. I would like to play Thursdays, 7/8-11 CST, and will begin play the week after I have made my selections. As to the means of play, I will look into several online systems, and get back to you on that. I will post more about the rest of your character building later, but now I must go.
I am looking for a group in which I would be able to play with an Orc. I really enjoy the potential RP opportunities for the race. I'm looking for a GM, and as far as the rest of the party, that would be up to him/her. I've played games with parties of one, two, three, and four people, so my options for play are quite expanded. If you have any questions, please post them or PM me. Sidenote: I am the kind of player who enjoys creating a backstory for my "creations".
I want to play and adventure path using the engineer class. I would prefer to play over Skype, and I can try to link you the class. If you are interested in the class, PM me. If you want to accept me into your campaign, or allow me a chance at recruitment, please post here the game you are playing. It does not really matter if it's a home campaign, or an AP or other adventure, I just really want to play this class. Thank you for consideration.
I'm getting REALLY tired of one of my players never having time, because of stupid ****, so next weekend (friday), if he can't play then, I am cutting him for someone else. Give me ideas for your characters, or you can use the Alchemist he made. Thank you, I will make my selection next Thursday, 6pm, CST.
I need to find one more person for my Carrion Crown campaign. It will likely be Skype because everyone else will be at my table. I need a character more set around melee than magic. Post your characters here. I trust you can roll your own dice. Use the forum roller if you want to. I will close this when I find someone suitable to this game. We will be playing Fridays. If you want it to be weekly, I hope you are okay with one person being gone, since they can't set schedules, they probably won't be over every week. It's out of their hands. Thank you for your efforts.
I just spent the last two and a half hours creating Spring-Heeled Jack. I just created this Alias, and didn't even realize Springheel Jack was a thing in Pathfinder, until I look at the portraits for my new Alias. Low and behold, I find springheel Jack, who is apparently in the Haunting in Harrowstone book of Carrion Crown. I'm about to run Carrion Crown.
Most groups always have a handful of memorable, awesome moments. What was your first one? Mine would have to be when playing Hangman's Noose. We ended up with a magical, gold lined, cigar box that was always full with quality smokes. There were many Aha! moments more thanks to it. I want to know some of your firsts.
I am running Carrion Crown for a friend, since he really likes pathfinder, but we cannot seem to get a group going. For his benefit, I am playing with just him, so we can play whenever he's over. He decided he wants to build a Wizard. I need help with that. Neither have much experience with that class. Since it's just him, he's going to start at a higher level. I'm thinking 5. Thank you for your contributions.
We already have the group, so there will be NO recruitment thread, but we've seven players, so there will need to be some downsizing, unless you're ok with that many people. I think the Consensus is to use MapTools, but we can work that out later. Thank your for your time Sincerely, Baron of the Sands

Hello all, my name is Beren, and I would be very interested in playing Rise of the Runelords, Way of the Wicked, or whatever. (wink wink). I would also, however, be interested in RUNNING a game, if someone would be kind enough to send me the resources of what they wanted to play, either physically or through the internet. If this happens to spark a game, and several recruitment threads, I only ask that I be included in one such game. I am quite a capable, competent player, and a VERY interesting person to know. Sincerely, The Baron
I am attempting to build a campaign and I would like to know other peoples opinions, help, thoughts, or other comments. I am opening it up as a recruitment, type of gameplay is popular vote. I will select the party either tonight or tommorow. I am on Central Standard Time. Make a backstory and be prepared for a long wait. I may never run it online.
I noticed this pathfinder compatible ap when the part four had been advertised on the home page. With further searching, I decided that this would be an interesting game to play in. I have no one in my town to play regularly except for the one game I am currently in. If any GMs are interested in running this, please let me know.
