Azten here with most of the stats for my Ex-Little Lamm.

After the 29th, I'm afraid my posting schedule is going to take a drop. Not as severe as not being able to post, but still a drop.

"I hear a lot when I am away." Diri admits.

"He's one of the best storyteller's I've ever heard, and I've been to a festival. Course, he can't at the same time, but that doesn't matter, it only distracts you from the story anyway."

City Park (Arry, Lysi, Eftil)

"Nothing in the world is special. No matter what you do, someone else has done it before you."

"So? How does someone else doing the same thing before you could make it any less special? People get married all the time, and that is special! People make friends, read books, travel, build, and create art and it's still special! I'm am not going to stop seeing what is special just because some else already has! I am not going to give up on that!"

"Sounds just all the things people do." Arry says as he turns to Diri and begins combing his fingers through the feathers of the closest wing. "Given that people aren't as nice as some cats, I'm more likely to side with the felines."

"The world isn't an exciting place if you don't want it to be. Have you watched the crazy cat lady Sis mentioned? I've seen people on spells that can't move that fast! And the cats know tricks, I've seen them! I don't think she taught them though, that they made them up on their own..."

GM Fireclaw wrote:
"What manner of beast is this which speaks?" The dark-skinned man seems to have ignored what Diri said in his curiosity. "This creature doesn't appear to any sort of animal I am familiar with. What are you, creature?

"He is no beast!" Arry replies angrily! "He is a great and marvelous bird that is as much a part of me as I am a part of him!" Pulling his bangs aside, Arry reveals the glowing rune on his forehead and points to the identical one on Diricawl's head as well. "See?"

"He speaks truth. He called and got answered. By me." Diri says as he dips his head to hold Arry back now.

"The youngling asked you questions. Best to answer some." Diri tells Itzli, clacking his beak sharply despite Arry moving in front of him to hold him back.

"Don't worry about Diri much, he usually doesn't bite people who aren't trying to hurt us."

Arry's Perception:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Diricawl's Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13

"Arry, Sisterlysi, behind me." Diri squawks as is head swivels around to watch the bushes.

"What is it Diri?" Arry, who had been hoping the squirrel would come down too, asks his gigantic bird-like friend.

"Not sure. Need to be careful. Get behind me."

Elysia "Lysi" Lyon wrote:
"But I still spent a whole day helping you find the slimy things. I just don't want to repeat the experience."

"Good thing salamanders are next!"

"So do newts, and you thought those were gross!"

"Sis, stop chasing the butterflies!" Arry says as he and Diri chase after her. "Why do you want to chase them anyway? They don't do anything cool!"

Arry's Perception:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Diri's Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Lysi: 5
Diri: 5
Me: 5

What's with that!?

"Why not? You just gotta get close. Maybe grab the ranseur so they can't whack you with it. I don't know a lot about weapons, but that seems like it would work."
Sis and I planned to spend the day here, so more Perception checks! :D

Arry's Perception:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
Diri's Perception:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

"Well, I guess it's still useful then, huh?"

Arry's Perception:1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Diri's Perception"1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Looking around, Arry gets a piece of parchment and scribbles down a simple message.

"If you need us, we went to the park." -A and L

"Okay, that should be good enough, right? To the park!"

"No crying, Lysi." Diri tells the little sorceress, pressing his beak against her shoulder. "Diri is fine now. You have a good plan for today."

"Well, looks like we're off to the park then!" Arry sounds a little relieved. He had thought Dircawl would still look hurt, and while he could tell the great bird was still injured, he was glad Diri had come. He grabs the basket of basket of cheese and bread. "Sis, you think we should leave a note? You know, in case we're needed or something?"

Brushing his hair away from the rune on his forehead, Arry starts the chant that summons Diricawl Gryph to this plane. After the usual amount of time, mist begins to collect and solidify into the flightless bird Arry knows so well.

"You are okay?" Diri asks, head darting all around the children looking for injuries.

"Okay! Should I call Diri? I know he got hurt yesterday, but he can come back now and tell us stories when we get tired."

"So what are we gonna do today?" Arry asks as he grabs some bread and starts eating. "Looks like we're on our own for a bit anyway. You think he left us behind 'cause we're kids?"

"Worst case scenario, we have to ask for directions." Arry says hopefully. "Let's go!"

"Really? I thought it was cause she said I was handsome." The last of his things in his pack, Arry waits for his sister to finish the cleaning. "It looks better than when we got here. She's going to be either happy about it or sad that we're leaving cause it looks so good."

"I just thought you might not want to, since you got, well, you know." He replies, gesturing to the cut in Elysia's outfit. "But if you want to do it, then I'm going to stick to what we told Mister Jobe! Besides, we used to think of things our teachers hadn't thought of, so why can't we do the same for him?"

Once inside their apartment, Arry casts a spell and starts floating things over to where he stands, the mark on his forehead becoming shiny as the spell works.

"At least between the two of us we can keep a place clean, huh?" :)

"So we're really going to do this?" Arry asks as he and Lysi go to get their things. "I know the real stories of wars aren't as amazing as the stories Diri's told us."

I only remembered she had it because she used it at dinner.

"I wish I could cast it. It's got all kinds of uses."

"Okay, that makes sense. Looks like we're staying with you, Mr Jobe. Lysi, you've got that spell that can clean, don't you? I know it won't fixe the cut, but the stain will go away."

"Sis, where do you want to stay?" Arry asks. It didn't really matter to him, but he thought she might.

"Besides, we want to help too!" Arry proclaims. "They hurt Lysi and Diri and I won't let them get away with it!"

Average hit points as well.
Another level in summoner.
No changes to Diricawl Griph until Level 4.

Added Corrosive Touch and Message to my spells known.

"You trying to say I wasn't smart before?" Arry jokes. "I thought you didn't believe what the teachers said!"

"Sis, the Khallans... I want make them fail." Arry whispers. "They hurt you, and I can't let that go. It's up to you though."

"Sis, don't cry! You'll make Thyla start too!" Arry tells Lysi, gesturing to the thylacine, which is watching the man struggling in his bonds. Arry probably wasn't talking about his summoned friend. "Diri will be okay. He always comes back when I ask him to, you know that! He just went home to rest is all!"

He hugs Lysi tightly, careful to avoid the place she got stabbed.

"I'm so glad you're okay!"

"We're in the catacombs and I don't even have my pack with me!" Arry snaps at Evengi. "Just take his stuff and tie him up with his shirt or belt or something!"

"It's not that bad, sis, and any blood looks like a lot." He says as he wraps an arm around her for support. "If you feel light-headed you should probably sit down though."

Bluff:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Sense Motive, DC 9:
Arry is terrified and trying not to let it show so his sister doesn't panic.

The sound of his sister's voice is the only thing that keeps from stabbing the now immobile man. Worry replaces anger on his face as he rushes to his sister's side.

"I'm fine, and you are too, really. Nothing a healer can't fix!"

With a loud screech as the shortsword strikes him, Diri fades rapidly from sight, causing the rune on his head and Arry's to disappear.

Crying out in dispair, Arry slashes at the dagger-wielder and screams for the thylacine to rip the man to pieces!

Taking the AoO's.

Arry's Dagger:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
Damage:1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Thyla's Bite:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage:1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Since AoO's happen before the action that trigger them can end, if this kills him I won't get hit. Looks like I need to train with the dagger more though...

AoO versus the Armored one:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage:1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Arry's blood runs cold as he sees Lysi gets stabbed, and something snaps.

"Diri! Thyla! GET HIM!" He screams as he slashes at the man in armor.

Dagger:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Damage:1d3 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The thylacine and Diricawl both move to attack, thought the thylacine ends up biting at the assassin with the dagger.

Thylacine Bite:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Damage:1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

[ooc[Diricawl's Bite:[/ooc]1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
If Diri only needs to move 5ft, he full-attacks, adding two claws.
Claw 1:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage:1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Claw 2:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Damage:1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

I'm this close to using the phrase "I'm about to give you the bird." as a threat. Diri is rocking those bites!

"Diri!" Arry yells as Lysi runs up way too close and throw colorful magic.

"Yes!" With a loud screech, he charges to Lysi's side and attacks the man directly in front of her.
Has a minute passed? I don't want to assume I still have the thylacine, since I don't have a real idea of how long it's been since the kitchen.

Diricawl's Attacks & Damage:
Bite:1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 3 + 2 = 25 Extra +2 if flanking
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Crit Confirmation:1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 3 + 2 = 23 Extra +2 if flanking
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Just a few feet behind him, Arry runs at the other with his dagger ready to strike, more than willing to protect his sister.

Dagger:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Damage:1d3 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"He's just sleeping. Someone knocked him out is all." Arry says, more to himself than his sister.

"I.. I don't know." Arry replies, shaken by seeing his friends kill a man.

"Catacombs are closer." Diri suggests.

"Yeah.. Let's go to the catacombs. The people in there might need our help if the bad men we saw are like this guy."

I'm a Master Summoner. I can only have one use of my spell-like ability out at the same time as Diri.

"He's not stupid!" Arry roars as the rune on his forehead flares brightly. "Punish this man who decides to be mean, smite him now, mighty thylacine!"
Standard Action: Use SM 1 spell-like ability to summon a Thylacine behind the man to flank with Diri.

A growl is the only warning the man has that Arry did something before the cat-like creature behind him attacks!

Thylacine Bite, Smite:1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23
Damage:1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 + 1 = 3
Crit Confirmation:1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 + 2 = 16
Damage:1d4 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 + 1 = 6

Hoping to catch the man off-guard, Diri strikes once more!

Bite:1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 3 + 2 = 18
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Initiative:1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Wishes do come true!

"Get him, Diri!" Arry nearly shrieks before he casts a spell. A small glob of acid flies through the air at the masked man

Acid Splash:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Damage:1d3 ⇒ 2

Not far behind the acid, Diri runs at the man, vestigial wing spread as wide as they can, and tries to catch the man in his strong beak.

Bite:1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
Damage:1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

"Lysi, be ready to make it look like a wall suddenly appeared if they see us." Arry tells his sister as he and Diricawl go to follow the servant.

"They aren't on our side, are they?" Arry asks the servant in hushed tones, his hand going to the dagger at his belt.

"....return to my side, Diricawl Gryph!" Arry whispers, the symbol on his forehead flaring brightly. When the lights dulls down to a faint glow, a large, bird-like creature is standing next to Arry and looking around, the same symbol on it's head.

In case anyone is interested, Diricawl looks like a rust red Axebeak.

"Diri! We're at that place I told you about. Some people are attacking and there was a huge explosion! Can you help?"

"I will protect you and Arry'ssister." The large bird squawks. "Find safe place though, makes protecting you easier."

"Okay. Lysi, let's go to the catacombs. Can you lead us there?" He asks the blond servant.

Let me know if I have enough time to summon Diricawl Gryph.

Correct, which is why I said he'd stop if he got interrupted or the bad guys showed up.

Brushing his bangs out of the way, Arry reveals a rune on his forehead. As he begins to chant the rune starts to shed light...

Arry stops summoning Diri if the attackers show up or someone interrupts him.
