Afzara raises her eyebrow at the bet and the acceptance. Sounds like it is dangerous. Now she is worried though. He is calculating scum to do something like this so why would Scourge do it?

She tries to get a chance to whisper to Sandara if she can detect poison and if she can on the meal. She prays that her thoughts are wrong and she is just paranoid of the son of a biscuit eater. She will be concentrating hard on his actions.

Afzara works happily at this job. It is what she enjoys most so she has a spring to her step.

Afzara stays quiet and away from the others at the moment. The fight happened too fast and made no sense. The way things went seemed barbaric beyond what she had experienced before.

So glad that I could avoid this. 8 checks to get to top unless aiming for DC 15 to move half speed likely would have had me fall like Xaven. Hope you caught him Joseph. I am sure I would have failed with minimum of 15 checks to keep from falling.

Do you have to state you are moving half speed and then do DC 15 to move half speed or is it if you make DC 15 you move at half speed? I just found out last week that Climb was 1/4 speed and not half without up the DC.

I am happy with however it happens unless I am given no choices in the end. I know that I read some old AD&D adventure modules that started with groups being prisoners in dungeons with nothing including food or water. There is still options there. I know a little but not much more than this is a sea adventure.

Afzara sees the people around her and nods when someone catches her attention. She is nursing her drink and seems to be intent on something. Doesn't seem too rowdy so hopefully there will be a captain or first mate looking for some new hands come in.

This is all out of character

My goal is the be able to fight at front when necessary. I have the crossbow. I can summon monsters but can't have Shell out if that is the case. With Shell I have climb speed which other than protection shapes and keeping up with enough attacks then will be adding swim and climb speeds as evolutions most times.

Afzara is going to be tight on feats but going to skill focus Craft Carpentry and that will depend on how fast she needs it. This is my first summoner character so will look at what she needs. Not sure what feats for magic she will need so most feats will be Point blank, precise, and weapon focus. Willing to listen to suggestions and helpful advice. Like will take Con to 14 then be putting stat points either in Str or Cha.

Afzara slips into a nice spot to try and wait with her few coppers and see if anyone is offering any berths. Hopefully there will be one and it will have an apprenticeship to the carpenter. she thinks while she waits.


That is what a shipwright is. There is ones who work on ships and then ones who build ships. That is what Afzara was trying to do.


1. Afzara wants to explore the seas and work on making the lady that she sails upon is taken care of. She is trying to learn how to become a quality shipwright.

2. Afzara is going pure. She will be able to do combat but will be focusing some on her ship related skills over full combat.


So from what I understand then is that everyone should only be allowed one post other than the GM in recruitment threads and they can edit those? Any extra posts is taking attention away from others if I read things right. I am just asking so I know that I shouldn't dot for interest and I shouldn't post extra character concept later. I should have one post and stick to that to give everyone a fair shake. Just trying to learn the etiquette for what everyone has for a recruitment thread.


I was an apprentice and not a shipwright. Big difference and my mother would lay it to me if I suggested I was more than I was. She is looking around nervously. It is starting to get noisy and she is worried about it getting rowdy.

I appreciate the offer but hoping to find another apprenticeship. I would be happy to do it as that but sounds like you either had bad luck and need more than can be done on the sea or you don't have a shipwright on board.


Afzara is still trying to listen to other snips of conversation. I was an apprentice the shipwright of the lady I was serving aboard. Was mainly just learning how to sand and seal replacement pieces of the ship. I was about to learn about how to attach replacement parts to the the ship and make it meld in with the lady so she would stay looking sharp.


That may be but it is hard being booted off because ship lost money on bad goods. Afzara looks a little downcast as she remembers her mentor on the boat. Gorn was really nice even if he could not speak for having no tongue. Her shoulders slump a bit thinking back before she shakes herself to pay attention.

I know a berth will happen but I don't want to be just a sailor. Want to explore and also work on making the ship run right and well. They deserve the proper attention. They provide a wonderful home if treated right.


There was a big crowd and she showed up. She didn't stay long as she had to get back to her ship. The crowd was getting a little wild so I left. I don't know her. I just heard her and a couple of the ladies chatting and sharing some time with each other.

Afzara is trying hard to be polite but is more important to her to try and here if someone might be hiring crew.
