On the first day of Paizomas, my GM gave to me…

As we close 2020, we give you exciting news of a new Pathfinder Playtest! Just after the new year we’ll release a playtest with two new classes for you to create, play, and share feedback on. The playtest will run from Jan 5-Feb 5. We wanted to share the news so you can plan some games in that window. For our organized play community, players will be able to try the playtest classes and earn credit for a Pathfinder Society character at the same time.

A general looks over a scale model of the battlefield, determining the best place to deploy her troops.

Be the first to play two new Pathfinder classes in just under 2 weeks!

Not sure how to find a game? Check out warhorn.net or our VTT partners (Roll20, Fantasy Grounds or Astral) for games. Need a pre-made adventure? Consider using a Pathfinder Society scenario (you can run them outside of Society rules), link together a few Pathfinder Bounties, or try Troubles in Otari!

We hope you all have a safe December, enjoy a cup of virtual cheer, and we’ll see you here on January 5th!

There’s also no real info we have that link the two together. (But they *might* not want to have us all reading and arguing instead of watching it...) xD

Probably between 10-1 PST, though usually it's closer to noon their time. I think. Sometimes it's earlier, and hopefully today is one of those some times.
The last three playtests were posted, according to the post timestamps, at 6:00 PM for Secrets of Magic, 8:37 PM for Tech Revolution, and Precog 8:30 PM for Precog. I'm assuming these are Pacific time. So I'm not holding my breath for early in the day PST, but you neer know!

The Secrets of Magic was posted by 11:06AM PST - that one at least was definitely early in the day! There are Magus/Summoner discussions about the playtest classes, and my group discord was digging into the classes by 11:30am that morning, since we had a 2:00pm session and I used the magus that day.

All of this to say, a 6PM release time does not fit my gunslinger fantasy. The only sensible option would be to post the blog at High Noon.

Aaron confirmed a reasonable-sounding deadline with a thank you message regarding our patience and interest?

Sounds like a coded message to expect a Diplomat if you ask me...

I believe that makes it 8pm here in France. My love has a teamwork online meeting starting at this exact time. And our kid is staying at a friend's place this evening for once. None of it I pre-planned.

TRULY THE STARS ALIGN.

Well they did just release the Precog Playtest for Starfinder.

*Gasp* Puts on tinfoil hat. Pulls out peg board covered in paper clippings and string. The Chronomancer is just a pre-Gap interpretation of the Precog! The Precog and Chronomancer will be released with a tied crossover adventure path revealing the true nature of the Gap and tying together the Pre- and Post-Gap timelines! Just before Starfinder 2ed is announced!

Liberty's Edge

Misreading had me thinking I wasn't the only one who got crazy addicted to Rift after they gave it out for free that one year at Gen Con.

The whole idea of a Chloromancer was easily one of the coolest healing disciplines I've seen in a long time and it's not one I've really seen done in other (much less Ttop) RPGs.

hmm... 8 characters long

Anyone guess Luchador?

You could have just stated "everyone". It's all-inclusive, uses less words, and is 8 letters... That's it! The class is the Everyone class! :P

I can smurf to that.

Eldritch also has 8 letters, and that is being used as the catch all term for magic traditions. So that must be all inclusive too.

Not that it matters since we have Aaron's estimate now, but those definitely aren't Pacific times. I live in California, and the Precog playtest was up before noon on the 16th (I read it on my lunch break that day). Looking at Joe Pasino's thread, he posted that at 10:24 am my time.

Liberty's Edge

I see the timestamps on the posts in accordance with my local time. I think they adapt to each registered reader.
