Both these sets look fantastic, I cannot wait to get back to some irl tabletop eventually and bust out a host of new figures for everyone to feast their eyes on and enjoy, awesome work!

And maybe one day we might even see a Private Jabby the Kobold figure if there's a set of iconic Pathfinder Society minis!

Two corrections:

The Thieves Guild doesn't feature the "Thief Guildmaster", she is #39 in the blind booster set.

The Dragon two-pack is mislabeled.
The adult black dragon in Pathfinder & Pathfinder second Edition is only of large size.
This pack has an "Ancient Black Dragon" & "Adult Red Dragon".

I can't find any of the six premium painted miniatures (recently announced elsewhere) available on this site yet. Am I correct in assuming we still don't have product pages for these miniatures? They've started popping up on a few third-party sites. Basically I'm interested in whether or not our 30% discount on miniatures will apply here.

The single-figure bubble packs? They should be available here, we just haven't added product pages for them yet. I'll point that out to Katina and see if we can't get them in the store for preorder.

Thanks to you both! I'm really excited for these and the Premium bubble packs in general. Deep Cuts have some spectacular sculpts, and I tried my hand at a few but I'm the worst painter on earth.

What are these new figures?

It's a collection of six, individually packaged, pre-painted miniatures. I believe the sculpts are all taken right from previous releases in the Deep Cuts line, only these ones are painted.

Wave 1, which as of now is listed to hit stores in September, contains the following:
Half-Elf Ranger Male
Human Cleric Male
Half-Orc Barbarian Male
Elf Fighter Male
Human Rogue Female
Human Rogue Male

The listed retail price is for $7.99. But like most things in this hobby, you can find them cheaper on third-party sites. However, if you've got the Pathfinder Battles 30% discount, it'll probably be the cheapest price around, especially if you combine them with a subscription order.

Whereas many of the miniatures in the Battles blind boxes are great for collectors and DM's, I think players will really appreciate these. The sculpts are nice, and the paint jobs should be in line with other Premium prepainted miniatures that WizKids has been offering from other companies. I just received Wave 2 of the D&D: Icons of the Realm premium pieces, for example, and all six are really well done.

I'm also eager to support this line because I hope continued success will not only bring more waves, but will also mean fewer playable PC-types in the regular Battles line. At least of the classic Human, Dwarf, Elf, etc heritages; more niche heritages are always welcome in my opinion. We had six Bestiaries in Pathfinder 1st Edition, not to mention many other sources of monsters. We didn't come close to covering all those creatures in plastic form. For every good looking "Human Class X Male or Dwarf Class X Female that pops up in the Premium line, I'm hoping that's one more unique Medium-sized monster taking it's spot in the Battles line.

I hear you on the shipping. It's the reason I rarely order anything beyond the book subscriptions and Battles cases through this site. Even on the books, I'm probably losing a full $10.00 each month compared to cheaper options elsewhere.

And with Incentives no longer tied to our Battles Case subscriptions I break even on the case itself compared to what it would cost in a couple other places.

The incentive used to come heavily discounted, making it a very good buy. But now...not so much. At first glance the Dragon Case is a good buy with that 30% discount, coming out to $41.99. But to get it here to Northeast Ohio--and without buying anything else or combining the premium dragon set with a subscription order to take advantage of that $10.00 paizo shipping credit--the cheapest shipping cost I was given was $24.60, making it a total of $66.59 to get it to my door. It's sold on all the major third-party sites for $59.99. One of those sites offers free shipping with a $75+ order, another site ships out free at $99.00+, and still another at $100.00. Finding $15.01 to $40.1 worth of additional items to purchase to hit that $75.00 to $100 threshold is a pretty simple task.

As for your Lost Omens singles order, it shows you a Pathfinder Battles Case subscriber. Are these in addition to that case, or did you hit pause on the case itself?

My case came in nearly two weeks ago, and I think the paint job on every miniature is no less than good. I've collected every Battles release (and Icons release, for that matter) and I'm not sure I've ever seen a set where there wasn't a glaring paint issue with at least one of the miniatures. There are maybe one or two, such as the Gimmerling, that someone could possibly argue otherwise. But I'd argue right back because at that point I think we're nitpicking.

That doesn't mean I love the set unconditionally. I don't use Dungeon Dressing, and it aggravates me that it has returned to take the place of 8 miniatures I'd actually use. The only saving grace this time around is that the Armageddon Orb is a Hazard. More importantly, it's also suitable for use as some sort of medium-sized red ooze creature. We need more ooze miniatures anyway that aren't among the classic lineup of Gelatinous Cube, Gray Ooze, and Ochre Jelly. And the statue is yet another statue I can base and turn into an Animated Statue.

I'm aware that the concept of Dungeon Dressing is well received by many. WizKids seems to be churning out set pieces w/dressing-like pieces every couple months. But I was hoping that due to such success, Paizo would move to putting out their own, Dungeon Dressing-style premium packs and leave the Battles cases to monsters.

I may get an extra or a rare creature, like the Offalth and the Angel. We use the dressing a lot more than some of the creatures in a set, so I will usually pick up extras where it makes sense (statue, mirror). So if a room has a hall of mirrors, we've got a hall of mirrors. For us, we'd get far more use out of them than from any kind of harpy as an example (don't know why, we've just rarely ever used them).

Thanks for sharing. I think it's interesting noting the similarities and differences when it comes to using miniatures. Table of 8? That must get crazy at times!

The Harpy is a great example of a creature that I try and fit in every campaign. I'm a sucker for the classics.

As for the dressing, I completely understand using them more than other miniatures once starting down that path. I think the concern for me is ultimate cost. I'm such a miniature-chaser when it comes to creatures, I'm terrified of where I'd end up if I started incorporating them into my game. Your hall of mirrors is a great example. They are common occurrences in my campaigns, too. But I would likely want four, and that's at a very minimum. After all, if I have a hall of mirrors, and I represent it at my table with miniatures, I want there to be accurate depiction. I'm the same way about creatures; four Lizardfolk in an encounter calls for four Lizardfolk miniatures on the table.

I have a rule of three, meaning I prefer to have at least three of a creature, unless it's clear it's a solitary creature, more popular in pairs, or a troop leader or something. I came up short on a couple of the large uncommon minis in this case, and at least one absence can probably be attributed to the dungeon dressing. If there is a saving grace for me, it's that most common and uncommon minis are cheaper to buy individually than extra dungeon dressing. So grabbing that extra Pinacosaurus is more affordable than picking up an extra mirror.

I'd actually prefer to see Paizo consider a case of Dungeon Dressing. A well thought out case of Dungeon Dressing would be something I'd consider. An affordable chance to get four or five mirrors in one case? A couple different statues I could put in a room that may or may not become animated in my campaign without players automatically metagaming some of the fun away with "well that's clearly a trap"? More Hazards, Haunts, or Constructs that can double up as creatures? It's definitely something to consider. I think based on how popular dressing and terrain has become over the last few years, it would sell well.

I’ve been quite all right with the way dungeon dressing has been included in the Pathfinder Battles sets. Having them in sets allows for them to match the theme of the set. I don’t think we would have got a star stone otherwise.

I'd be all over a Dungeon Dressing pack or such. Though I prefer a collection of various useful things more than an integrated set piece (like the Throne room or the guildmaster set). Just basic terrain pieces are highly useful, though I have a number on non-Paizo pieces for rocks, trees, some Dwarven Forge dungeon/cave pieces, terrain sheets for water/lava/ice/slime, etc. Flight elevation risers and tiers are also highly useful as well.

Our implementation of the above is fairly basic in terms of other awesomeness I've seen online. Our game table has a grid on top, and we stage the terrain on top. Getting that 3rd dimension to the table has made a difference for us, a searching character moves the desk to indicate where he is specifically searching ( a bit of the old school style).

I was curious as to whether or not these pages have been put up on the site? I can't seem to find them, but I don't know if that's because they aren't up or because both my Intelligence and Wisdom modifiers seem eternally stuck at 0. I know July was probably the busiest month of the year for Paizo--humble bumbles, warehouse overload, large amount of subscriptions products, GenCon sale--so maybe they got lost in the fray?
