Spreading the Good Word of the Inner Sea!

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

By now, Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Faiths has shipped out to friendly local game stores and subscriber mailboxes everywhere, giving you details on some of the lesser-known gods of the Inner Sea—and a couple of them really bug me!

Bug me in the best possible way, of course. Achaekek and his Red Mantis assassins first showed up in as part of the Curse of the Crimson Throne Adventure Path (which we'll be happily returning to this fall), and I've had a fondness for them ever since their debut. I'd tell you where Ghlaunder and some of these other gods might show up in an adventure, but that might be a bit too spoilery (although it's not much of a spoiler to say that some of these cults would prefer to stay hidden). On to more art previews for Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Faiths!

Until next time, I'm heading to the woods to talk with a black goat,

I traded in Irori for an Achaekekekek

you ought to know by now...

Very keen on this. Looking forward to it.

I sure hope that is a baby Froghemoth!

Don't worry; like you, I at first thought that was an otyugh having its bodily fluids forcefully removed, and I too was immediately enraged. However, when my fury akin to ten thousand suns had faded somewhat and I looked again, I saw that it was but a froghemoth. Ghlaunder isn't that bad.

Do clerics of Brigh get a goodberry-equivalent spell with the vocal component: "Bah-weep-Graaaaagnah wheep ni ni bong"?

No, the vocal component is "Transform and Roll Out!"

Wait, so Achaekek maintains a physical presence (aka an avatar) on Golarion or is that simply a herald of his? If it's the former then damn, the Red Mantis assassins have some serious firepower on their side!

I would have gone with "TILL ALL ARE ONE!" myself. ^_~

Having gotten my grubby little mitts on this thanks to a... rather lackadaisical approach to street dates on the part of my FLGS...

Ah loves it.

With that said, it's not likely to alter any opinions already in place about various deities, but it does a wonderful job of fleshing out several faiths that have existed mostly as name-drops up to this point.

Highly recommended.

Looks like Milani is about to liberate something from her bodice.

p.s. I still think Groetus followers should get free tower shield proficiency as long as they have "The End is Nigh!" scrawled on it.

That Brigh... <3

Groetan vampires are already using that rule.

0.o?

Going by your name, I have a feeling you may have had a hand in that, where the scissors were concerned?

She's a (lesser) goddess. The laws of physics and/or wardrobe malfunctions do not necessarily apply to her.

Brigh x Cyriss OTP.

Brigh x Cyriss x SHODAN OT3?

Brigh x Cyriss x SHODAN x GlaDOS OT4?! Lord save me!

I love me some machine goddesses. :3
