One Last Look at the Lost Coast

Friday, November 7, 2014

With The Lost Coast set releasing in about a week and a half, things are really picking up on the Pathfinder Battles front. I've already showed off the entire The Lost Coast set in several of my recent Friday blogs. I've also revealed the first twelve figures in our upcoming Iconic Heroes Sets. The other figures for following sets are still in development, and will appear in this space when they are ready.

WizKids has not yet announced the NEXT set of Pathfinder Battles miniatures, so while I've got a bunch of images from that set ready to show off, they're going to have to wait at least another week.

In the meantime, to help everyone get in The Lost Coast spirit, here's a photo of the very first booster pack I opened in my personal case (pictured here are the Small Water Elemental, Lamashtu Cultist, Sinspawn Champion, and Troll).

Hope to see mine next week!

When are these supposed to ship? This is my first subscription case and it is just appearing in my side cart.

The official release date is November 19. My guess is that preorders will likely ship a bit before that so that they arrive as close to that date as possible.

Mine authorised yesterday so I imagine they'll ship in the next week or so. Being in Australia they will still take around 2 weeks to reach me but hopefully they can arrive around my birthday.

Erik, these look amazing. Looks like the QC is up there again, and I'm so glad to see the water elemental has less white drybrushing on it, looks like water should. I was hoping to be to buy 2 cases, but it would appear my bank manager is conspiring against me - stupid mortgage.

Oh, and that troll looks fantastic! Any chance of seeing one of the other NPC's, say the lord Mayor or Brodert? These are typically the type were faces loose the detail, although looking at the ones you've drawn so far I'd inclined to think the issue is resolved?

Erik, thanks a lot for posting the set list in advance. This also helped me to get a check list ready.

Eric, you've revealed the first 18(!) figures from the Iconics Series.

Is that the one and only squeally nord I see, and as a common?! :)

It appears that Nord and the Shifty Noble have swapped rarities.

The Shoanti Gladiator, The Forest Shadow and the Elf Archer have also had rarity changes.

I'm pretty pumped for this set. The Lamashtu Cultist looks much better in the face than some of the human folks in previous sets.

This appears to be THE SET for anyone who appreciates troll nipples.

Hmmm… Should I double up on The Lost Coast set or get my niece and her friends a bouncy castle for Christmas? Choices always were a problem for me.

I feel like it would be much faster for you to run over to the warehouse and pick it up yourself instead of waiting on shipping.

I can't wait for these, the only downsides I see are:

1. Squealy Nord and Firepelt Cougar being common. Already had a snow leopard in Legends of Golarion and how much need is their for more than one pig?
2. Really wish the Boggards were common and the Forest Shadow uncommon. Would love to have a nice little boggard party and the Forest Shadow would make for a nice little party of elves when combined with the Elf Archer.

Also hoping with them being uncommon larges to get at least three each of the Malagus Kreeg, Conna the Wise, Fire Giant King, and Hill Giant Chief to use as just regular ogres, stone, fire, and hill giants since I missed out on Rise of the Runelords and Shattered Star initially. I might try to pick up a brick or a case of Runelords and maybe a brick of Shattered Star once the holiday spending is over.

The Forest Shadow is a super complex sculpt with a ton of three-dimensionality. When you get him in hand you'll understand why he's where he is, I think.

The case I opened last weekend coughed up three each of the figures you cited in your hunt for giants, Wally. :)

Scarab Sages

I need so many of these.

Seems christmas will happen early this year for little Ruyan.

Now the waiting begins...

Ruyan.
