We can always pause the game. We can finish the statue fight and go all the way up to the final boss prep and flash the 'to be continued' sign.
Orange is left I did a quick look and I think there's enough to take Green down.

I'm in and available for the holidays but don't mind pausing for others. If we start to get too far into February I start to turn into a Tax Pumpkin but I don't imagine we're looking at going that far.
Am in no rush to get Arrus back available, there's little to play at this level and I've got 5 other characters in the 9-12 bracket and a level 14 available as well.

I'd say break until Quinoline is back? While I'm busy in January, this is my only game so I'll have the bandwidth and look forward to having something other than year-end taxes to keep me company. A Tax Pumpkin, too!

Just for expediency -- you're free to search the other 2 rooms if you like after the fight. To the west is the door to the last encounters. There's the dining hall to the north, the library is to the east of where you are now.
Oh and the statues are the King and Queen from the first Harry Potter movie :)

btw, just need to say -- Pirate Rob, seeing Mr Gruff always reminds me of the Hulk with glasses :)

once we get that last success, I'm fine with either seeing how much we can get in or taking a break until everyone is back.

Astrid, wanna play 06-20 again (too bad Hobbs can't replay it)? Pirate Rob made some scenario requests in Cottonseed...
Oh and Penumbra is immune to bleed (which you probably guessed by now) :)

Yup, I noticed after the first crit, not like it means I'm going to not fire my crossbow because of bleed immunity.
Also very kind of you to potentially run one of the scenarios I'm looking for.
2025 was tough. I have this shoulder injury that's still lingering and my 10(then 9)yr old was close to dropping out of school due to some bullying. And a host of other "smaller" problems like my mom's further slide into dementia and my wife's tendinitis that just won't get better and impacts her ability to walk moderate distances etc.
Hoping for a better 2026

As a note, I'm not sure if Vampires are susceptible to bleed damage.
Another special type of physical damage is bleed damage. This is persistent damage that represents loss of blood. As such, it has no effect on nonliving creatures or living creatures that don't need blood to live. Weaknesses and resistances to physical damage apply. Bleed damage ends automatically if you're healed to your full Hit Points.
Although it wouldn't surprise me if Vampires had some special vulnerability. Not something I want to look up while playing.

Nothing specified in the statblock. However, these do have resistance 10 to Physical, which I didn't even think of... so effectively, immune... I'll let the 3 hp damage stand though... it will get it back next round anyway buwahaha! :)
Oh be my guest and look it up -- I'd rather be corrected now than not realize I'm doing something wrong! :)

Lydia/Soup -- wanna do 06-20?
Absolutely! If Quinoline dies, I've got Nina Jaribu (angelic sorcerer) at 10.

That's tough, especially the kid one. I'd throw you a Hero Point if they existed IRL. Our neighbors across the street opted to send their child (then 10) to a middle school that's not the one literally down the street from us, due to bullying. Sheesh, fifth grade! We had absolutely no idea, and the kids were in a D&D group together that 5th grade year.
Hope you find a good solution.

Definitely, this is the only game I've been playing so that would work out nicely. Lydia would still level 11.

I'd consider it, but it wouldn't be certain.
Pros: playing Quinoline is fun, and playing Quinoline with Astrid is extra fun; alchemist is one of my favorite classes; I rarely get to play L12.
Cons: A lot of my other characters end up going unplayed because I tend to prioritize Quinoline. I have more characters than I can reasonably play at this time - and on top of that, there are 3 GM babies from Levels 2-6 just sitting unplayed for the past 2-ish years, plus another 50-100 XP worth of unassigned credit.
At any rate, I vote that we try not to get TPKed, and worry about the what ifs later.

Took a quick peek. Vampires don't list bleed immunity, but neither do most legacy zombies/skeletons.
I think they're immune to bleed from being undead even if not specifically listed. Pre remaster there was a lot of look up trait to look up trait to find out what the rules actually were. I think remaster has cut down on that somewhat.
The physical resistance gets there to in this case.
That Damage Types sidebar does a lot of heavy rules lifting, probably more than is reasonable.
Not a huge deal in this case either way. I was mostly curious because I was surprised to see them bleeding after learning they were vampires.

found out today -- crafting item income doesn't cross levels... I think Soup mentioned he wasn't sure what happens when you level up while crafting something...
| Pirate Rob |
I think the progress value increases. It's based on your level. That can be different than when you started.
So lets say I'm a level 4 Expert and am crafting an item with a success and making 8sp a day.
If I level up to 5 and continue to work on that item with my next downtime it'll progress at 1gp a day.
For each additional day you spend, reduce the value of the materials you need to expend to complete the item. This amount is determined using the Income Earned table, based on your proficiency rank in Crafting and using your own level instead of a task level.
It doesn't say level when starting, it just says level.
Always possible I've missed something, and if so I need to update my Technical crafting Guide
| Watery Soup |
I think Soup mentioned he wasn't sure what happens when you level up while crafting something...
So, to be clear, I've never read anything that explicitly says what happens, one way or another, either in the rulebooks or on the forums or on Reddit.
At the beginning, I assumed Crafting didn't auto-advance. Then, after a F2F game, I gave instructions for Downtime, which included my PC's Crafting Level being lower than their Character Level, and the GM corrected me.
But, note that because Pirate Rob and I are in the same geographic area, what I heard is highly covariant with what Pirate Rob says. It's quite possible he's the one who told me, or someone who told him also told me, or he told someone who in turn told me, etc.
Basically, I'm just a sheep. I'll do whatever someone authoritative says to do.

I'm just happy for anything non-Repeatable run on the Paizo forums, but if anyone isn't leaning towards anything in particular, I have three "holes" in Seasons 3-4.
1. #3-14 Tomb Between Worlds (5-8). Unfortunately, the character that I played #3-09 with has leveled out. I can't remember what happened, anyway.
2. #4-03 Linnorm's Legacy (5-8). Would have been fun to play this with Quinoline/Astrid when they were in level. I think this is standalone, but it's also one of the few scenarios set that far up north - I think #2-08 (Frosty Mug) is the only other one I know up there.
3. #4-08 Battle for Star's Fate (3-6). Unfortunately, the character that I played #4-04 with has leveled out. I can't remember what happened, anyway.
I haven't played #6-10, but overall, I've only played 5/17 non-Repeatables in Season 5 and 5/18 non-Repeatables in Season 6, so almost anything in Seasons 5+ are the same to me, I can't even remember what most of the recent Seasons were about.

Thanks! I had stopped worrying about getting that final eval, but when a tier 7-10 table at my December convention lost its GM with 2 weeks to spare, I saw a VC at the table who ended up being willing to do the review!
Does this mean i get an extra glyph to hand out mid session? Jk, i know we were already at the max to give out anyway :p
| Watery Soup |
I know there's probably a link somewhere I can read, but I'm lazy. Do the evaluations only matter for the 5th glyph, or the 4th glyph as well?
I'm at 89 GM credits now, so sometime in 2027 or 2028, I anticipate hitting 100 (4 glyphs). I'm guessing I won't hit 150 before Pathfinder 3rd Edition comes out.
And, to be clear, it's GM credits that are counted, right? So whether it's 400 Bounties, 200 Quests, 100 PFS scenarios, 36 Adventures, or 6 full-length Adventure Paths, or some mix thereof, it's all the same?

Here's the guide link
But the 3 VC reviews are only needed for 5th glyph, none for 4th. The guide recommends before finishing 4th glyph to do a mock review with a VO (doesnt need to be VC) but it isn't required. And technically you can do a real VC review as early as you'd like. I think it was Tiger who asked for a review very early? Might be misremembering that.
And yes you're counting the GM table credits so as long as they add up to 100 you're fine. For the 5th glyph you then have to worry about 50 unique adventures, 10 specials/glyph-tagged adventures, and 3 VC reviews.
GM Tiger
|
Yep. I twisted Tyranius' arm before he retired as VC. I had 3 glyphs then but I was 1-2 credits away from 4.
Requirements are 150 credits (any way you get them), 10 special (aka Glyph) scenarios, 3 reviews from a VC (or RVC) or designated reviewer.
You *can* get a Paizo staff member to do a review (My 2nd eval was actually done by Alex himself because the VC who was supposed to do my eval passed away before he submitted it). Also IIRC, redeux was an evaluator for VTT at some point?
GM Tiger
|
My three evals were:
#1 Hilary - before she stepped down as VC in MN
#2 Alex / Xyntryx - Xyntryx was VC for Pathfinder Philippines
#3 Shifty - VC for Sydney, I think
Lydia by redeux

Also IIRC, redeux was an evaluator for VTT at some point?
Yup, the online RVC (ironhelix) designated me as an evaluator for games in my lodges when I was a VTT VL. I don't know how common that is in other regions but online occasionally does it since we have a lot of GM's and fewer VO's compared to physical locations.
My VC reviews were:
- 1 PbP review with Tyranius (the 2-20, 2-22, and 2-24 Breaking the Storm trilogy for the two of you in that game).
- 2 VTT reviews with Slate (forget which US region but he was a foundry module developer as well), and then Pulse (VC France i believe).
First 2 reviews were just games I had planned and if I saw a VC join I asked them in advance. Last review I asked the VC when I picked up the table whose GM dropped before the con. Helps if you know people who are VC's though. and VO's can always help coordinate doing a review if you need help tracking down a VC for a session.

I forgot about the fireball save until after I had posted everything else. I didn't want to mess up the rolls so I added it in an edit afterwards. It still would have happened before Astrid's turn though so the would have recovered at the start of her turn and she will have one shield block and one reactive strike/shield block available. She'll probably need them since she got carried away and stayed in the flank.
