Ursula observes the situation unfolding before her, before turning to Sharlott.
"Sharlott, I would ask that you go up and retrieve that satchel from the peasant children. I am grateful to have supplied you with the necessary ability today."
The maid blinks a few times before realization dawns on her. "Oh! Right, Miss Ursula. Excuse me," She says as she goes to stand underneath the apple tree. There's a sudden burst of magical wind that has Sharlott leaping upward, before landing on the tree branch next to the children.
"Please, can I have that? I don't think it's yours to begin with so..." Sharlott requests of them, her nose twitching.
"Sharlott, they're peasant children. You don't ask, you demand. Relinquish your stolen goods at once to the custody of my maid, and that will settle our affairs." Ursula calls up to them.

"Wee ones look like they got more nails than feathers, Shar." Kalla calls up to the maid for where she swayed a bit on entry "Careful they don't bite." she lets out a small belch behind her hand, then gives the kids a narrowed gaze "Course they could just get this done and go on their waddles if they proved me wrong and just give you the things there."
GM Cwethan
The kids quickly scramble onto thinner branches where Sharlott has more trouble balancing, tossing the bag back and forth to keep it away from her grasp, but Nix's sudden appearance shocks them into dropping the satchel to where the grateful Jaldan waits. "Hey! No fair!"
Jaldan spends a few minutes sorting out her pack as the kids scarper off back towards town, making sure that the children haven’t stolen or broken anything inside. Finally, she relaxes, closing the pack.
"I might actually survive." The centaur says. "Thank you. Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you!!! You just saved my hooves. Uh... when we get back to camp, could you maybe, uh... not mention this to anyone. Please?"
Ursula Vashkara
"I don't expect that it will come up in conversation unless you steer it in that direction," Ursula notes. Sharlott does another magical leap down to the ground, stepping to her lady's side. "I am Lady Ursula Vashkara of House Orlovsky, Pathfinder Agent. I am pleased we have resolved your immediate problem and hope that we can swiftly deal with further issues. Shall we be on our way?"
Kalla the Boiling Rose
"Why were the little snarks tormenting though?" Kalla steps up to the centaur, about to brush a bit of smudge off her flank, before stopping and asking "Can I help straighten you out here? Oh, and I'm Kalla, though I not be needing titles or anything like the Lady there does." she winks at the lady in question.

"They're stupid kids, who knows," the young centaur huffs. "They thought I was some kind of forest witch who could make them a squirrel monster? Or make a scarecrow walk? I don't know, I just wanted my bag back." She stamps her hoof in annoyance then allows, "I think they must have seen one of the polluted nature spirits, but I haven't told you all about those 'cause they stole the bag and I got all out of sorts, so, here’s the story. Over the last while, something really weird has happened to the local forest spirits. They've always been a little cranky, but now they’ve gone from 'Auntie Kaana before she has her morning tea' to 'We will bake bread from your bones'. They’re not talking to the druids or the shamans, and when Cenenviel tried to do a big ritual to ask them what’s wrong, a tree animated and tried to kill him.
"So that’s bad. Worse, the spirits have started making bodies for themselves. You know leshys, right? Well, normally, only druids can make one. They grow a little plant or mushroom body, nicely ask a spirit to come inside, and poof, leshy. Except now the spirits are making their own bodies, and they’re really creepy, and also violent. I had to smash something that looked like a dead skunk crossed with a thornbush when it tried to eat my face last night.
"These things have been attacking people, starting fires, and trying to burn down the forest. I don’t think anyone's gotten killed yet, but it’s probably going to happen sooner rather than later.
"Anyway, that’s what Cenenviel, Kaana, and your Urwal are trying to figure out now at the Redpine camp. They seem to think you can help, and they gave me some things to help get you there. So! Get the rest of your stuff and let’s get going! The camp's about a day away."
She hands over a saddlebag carrying a Predator's Claw, a lesser cheetah's elixir and five gp in assorted coinage.

Finadar Forest looks much as most of you remember. The bruorsivi make it an odd sort of forest, largely indistinguishable from a typical evergreen wood except for the fact that everything is in shades of red. The branches overhead are crimson, and scarlet needles crunch underfoot. Jaldan turns out to be an enthusiastic traveling companion, spending the trip peppering you all with questions about the world outside of Finadar Forest.
She seems to take the trek into the forest about as seriously as any other summer stroll, but clatters to a halt when Dawn hears something up ahead - chirping, hooting, and the sound of steel. A band of absolutely bizarre creatures crawls from the forest, chirping and hooting as they go. A moss-covered human skull scuttles along six branches like a spider. A dead raccoon slinks along on a fungal mat that bleeds sap from a hundred crimson 'eyes'. A twisted mass of weeds topped with pulsing flowers staggers forward, leaving trails of burning sap. These and more hoot and call as they surround another, more wholesome looking creature. She stands no taller than the creatures formed of the forest's offal, but the flower petals that make up her hair have been braided with a focus and care that seems alien to the horrors surrounding her, and her skin though formed of bark and leaf, has no animal parts studded throughout.
One of the creatures, a rotten gourd walking on three rabbit feet lunges towards the pink-petaled leshy with a plaintive shriek "!Cnbb rlg!", but when she chops it down with her simple woodaxe some kind of hot sap splashes around it, and in seconds the bruorsivi needles catch light and begin to burn.
"Spirits of woe and weal," Jaldan swears softly, watching in horrified fasciation. "They're going to set the whole forest aflame again."

Virulent Burst (Poison): 1d6 ⇒ 1
Bruit savagely brings down another leshy, untroubled by the poison that surrounds the mechanical hound (though Sharlott does have to discreetly cough into a hanky).

Another leshy detonates in the middle of the group, the continuous haze of poison finally beginning to take its toll. Although, the leshy who has retained her sanity doesn't seem to be bothered at all, catching one of the fruited leshies as it flees.
Now that Rising Dawn has moved up closer to the fray, she captures the attention of one of the leshies, who flings half an orchard's worth of rotten fruit in a heap all around her! She's unhurt, but beyond the fray, the fire is spreading much faster than Jaldan can keep in check on her own...

Neither joke nor utter destruction of its amalgamated body gets much of a rise out of the last Stalking Leshy and it bursts with a whimper rather than a true rush of poison.

"Sharlott, take out the supression fulu, adhere it to that tree, and get out of there!" Ursula shouts over the crackle of flames and popping of rotten fruit. She watches through the thin smoke as her handmaid obeys and places the fulu on the tree.
Fulu of Fire Supression: this fulu slows the spread of fire in a 30-foot radius by half.
If the fulu itself catches fire, as it burns, it releases a shower of water in a 30-foot cone, automatically putting out non-magical fires in this area and attempting to counteract any magical fire effects with a +7 counteract modifier and a counteract level of 2; when this happens, the fulu's duration ends early.
While Sharlott makes sure the fulu is in effect, Ursula plunges through the underbrush, grimacing as she strides as close to the fire as she can at the moment.

Ursula's face goes pale as she sees her handmaid collapsing under the sudden assault. She had assumed these leshies were only targeting Pathfinders for some undisclosed reason, and Sharlott would only be in danger from the flames. That was her mistake.
"There's a healing potion in the pack's pocket with green stitching, someone give it to her," Ursula coldly delegates as she strides up to the fire.
