I think there's a dwarven exotic weapon that slashes on one end and pierces on the other. Might be a version where you bash on one end and pierce on the other as well. It's essentially for dual wielding. There's also some dwarf (or is it Orc?) double slashing weapon. I've not looked too deeply into this since probably 3.5 days though when I built a lot of NPCs while DMing. I don;t have that kind of time on my hands these days!

So you could probably work with a GM to create this if they were flexible, but it wouldn't be a staff. It would be an exotic weapon that you had to take a feat to figure out how to use. All of the weapons they listed above, I believe, are exotic weapons or racial weapons and you need specialized training to use effectively. Giving a simple weapon a bunch of different properties that depend on you using it correctly would not work with how the system is created.

to answer astrillith, since i just saw the message now. no they arent floating, they are firmly stuck to the ceiling. its a reverse gravity trap. so kern and ceirn are affected by reversal of gravity, allowing them to remain up in the alcove.

and no, they arent the best of rolls.
