Still spell is +1, both traits reduce by -1, so -2.
so -1 for one +1 MM feat on one spell.

Magical Lineage:
Pick one spell when you choose this trait. When you apply metamagic feats to this spell that add at least 1 level to the spell, treat its actual level as 1 lower for determining the spell’s final adjusted level.

Wayang Spellhunter:
Select a spell of 3rd level or below. When you use this spell with a metamagic feat, it uses up a spell slot one level lower than it normally would.

Yes, they do the same thing, but each is still different enough in that one has a spell level cap, the other does not but has a limiter as stated in the FAQ.

Now that FAQ, puts the limiter on Magical Lineage, but not Wayang Spellhunter.
So if Magical Lineage: is applied first the limit condition is met, then Wayang Spellhunter is applied it meets the -1 spell level for one spell.
So yeah it can be done, legally to the rules, but rule 0 is the only true stopper for it.

And since that is invoked, I'll look for another spell to attach it too

I've got a fair guess as to what the answers would be if i start a thread in the rules section. ^^

Generally, descriptions say what neat tricks/options we do get with traits/feats/spells. If something makes an exception to something, it normally is specified.

Anyway, i'll get our starting post up tomorrow. It's late now and my alarm clock goes off early.

The answer that you would probably get is Advanced Player's Guide pg. 326. Specifically Trait bonuses do not stack

But of course Rule 0 over-rides any of it. And personally I'd love to have it available for the game. Unlimited healing!?!

if not rule zeroed, yeah it can, but since both traits select only one spell, you can only do it with one spell.

So for Clerics, Druids and Warpriests, yeah unlimited cure light wounds.
So Wizards and sorcerers any 1st level spell like magic-missle or snowball as unlimited.

I think this is a fair case of GM shutting it down. Feels like rule abuse.

No movement is needed. They can just stand and recite the spell. No waving hands anymore.

i.e., you can do it while restrained.

Coraline Sealen wrote:

it could of even been a silent CLW, but bards can't used the silent MM feat.

The more pressing part your missing was in the traits reducing a spell to a level lower then it should be if stacked on a CLW spell.

Still spells are a way to avoid Arcane Spell failure in medium and heavy armour for bards, but at a bit of a cost, in using spell slots one level higher, and increased casing time.for spontanous casters

If you could do that you could become the healer for a kingdom, and no ruler would consider risking your life to adventuring! Just sit on a comfortable chair while they wheel injured people by you to heal. You sing until your throat is too sore to croak, then heal yourself and continue!

I'll do the same and abuse Magic missile. And since I get 2 feats at first level I can take the combo that increases my caster level by 2 so I get 2 missiles.... Unlimited casting for magic missile for 4-10 points of damage per round. Blocked by a shield spell though so I will need a couple of other spells for that.

....

It would be more then just rulers taking interest, I could imagine a number of faiths wanting to declare them a saint. Though I could imagine a bit of fighting over the saint in a subtle way.

Spontaneous casters wouldn't benefit from spell hunter, which mentions the use of spell slots, causing the sorcerers/bards/oracles lucking out on the trait's benefit.

The specific lvl 1 spell wouldn't matter, turning a solid spell into an infinite use, voices go both ways with RAI and RAW, i will respectfully pass. Anyway, time for the opening post.

Edit: Which doesn't want to even appear, maybe maintenance ate it. Repeat doesn't work either XD
I'll try fixing that, so thanks for your patience in the meantime.

Unfortunately not. I may have to disconnect discussion from campaign, and create a new campaign to reconnect this to. Tomorrow, though. I'm beat after today.

For whats its worth, I have dot deleted to see the thread in overview, but I cannot make additional posts in gameplay.

Slides Innkeeper and storyteller.

I've connected to a new campaign to dot.

oh what calendar are we going to use in game?

As I'm starting to fill in more details and it'll help us figure out the timing of the seasons and if a job takes a good long to do, what weather and seasonal changes could come into play ahead.

Like in some spring months monsters / animals might be more active then normal, Summer might be hot and humid that heavier armours are not a good idea, fall could be storm season, along with harvest season.
And Winter, would it be generally mild, or will it bring in the snow, etc

----

Also started making 3D models of some NPCs connected to Leona, and will work on a height reference of as many characters as I can so we have a common picture most of the actors (PC and NPC) in this story.

Kinda like this one I did for a KM game I was in

Alethas aforementioned fixer:

Alternative art I was considering (because I try to keep her exact race a bit vague) tiefling who won the looks lottery

I would find it interested if there was a "pass for aasimar" or "pass for tiefling" trait for tieflings and aasimars and vice versa.

If you look at angelkin (which Aletha is mechanically) abilities, they have a shape change, are charismatic, and the truespeaker trait is a bit like limited tounges. All of these abilities would of course never come from a Succubus oh noe, completely implausible!

Aletha, here is a succubus tiefling I wiped up a when the ARG first came out with the race-builder rules.

Yeah I think it fits the bill well.....

Succubus tiefling:

Fiend Specific tiefling
Succubus touchedRev 2.4 (Female only ?)

This creature looks very human, but exceeds normal human limits of beauty. Having the little succubus blood she does have, she can resist elements and poison and social scene well, but a gift from her succubus ancestor's does give her ability to change shape, even if it is limited to humans.

Decisions:
Stats+2DEX,+2INT,+4CHA
Why, a true succubus has a CHA of 26!
26-10=16, 16/2=8 (half-succubus level) 8/2 = 4 (succubus touched level).
Succubus were smart and their off-spring would need that as well so +2INT,
I looked at the stats (3.5 version) for succubus and saw DEX was the next highest and could not have the race as a pure mental race so +2 DEX was given.
Racial Abilities:
They need their resistances of their fiendish parents (elements)
Succubi are known for their changing into the most desirable form, so I needed a shape change option, but limited as it losses potentacy.
I made the rest based on the qualities of various base races to allow for non-human teiflings.

Restricted Change Shape (2 RP, can vary; read):
Prerequisites: Fey, humanoid, outsider, or monstrous humanoid type;
Benefit: Members of this race gain the following supernatural ability: You can assume the appearance of a Small or Medium humanoid as the alter self spell. But the race is restricted to ONE type of humanoid for that race (or the choice is made at creation, but at 3RP) and once made can not be undone.

I'm going to make a height reference render of our characters, so we'll have a common image of each other and a good idea of how tall each of us are to each other..

So I'll be needing everyone's Height.

Leona - 6'3"

Coraline - 5'1"

Aletha -?
Vasaam- ?
Lariel -?

If you make renders, i can even make portrait pictures based on those.

I have no idea what you mean. I went to Google and asked it to convert which led me to a shady website. I copied pasted the results. =P

I have at the ready to start rendering
Leona
Coraline
Aletha
Vasaam

will need to get to Lariel, and only need Aletha to give me a height to scale the model.

I also have 2 NPCs ready to rendeer that Leona knows (Bruce and Karen (who is a KAREN))
So I might be able to build us up a bit of a cast of actors with a common image of characters we'll encounter often more then once.

Now I can't do all the details some folks would like, but it'll be close enough.

I just hope you don't have the Jinxed perk from Fallout, otherwise we'll all be rolling low, though so would our enemies......

1 inch = 2.54 cm. Reverse is 1 cm = 1 / 2.54 = 0.393701 inch.
So your 6' 8" would be 203.2 CM. Sound right?

Oh if I do any scene renders for Towns I have a few complete towns that I can quickly use

pirates-cove
the-courtyard-of-miracles
medieval-city-block
medieval-fantasy-village
yvoire
perouges-medieval-village
medieval-dock

and that is just a sample the Villages and Towns scene stuff I can quickly use to make them.
I can even build up towns in a modular way, though that way would have it own rules in what can and can't be done....depending on if kit bashing is used.

And I have a LOT of premade taverns, and pubs on hand (mainly inside said places).
Could set one of the taverns as the guild hall....

Female Undine Cleric 2 HP 16/16 Init +2 Darkvision Perception +9 Fort +4 Ref +0 Will +6 Longspear +3 1d8+3

Bro how do you make these? This is awesome

I don't make them,
I buy them and combine the art assets to make scenes.

Though I make the character models by combining model morphs, and art assets like clothes, hair, and other items.

Thanks, I did the best I could with the assets I have for Genesis 3 to make the reference image.

I pretty much just used Lariel's alias avatar to help pick a face and tweak the ears, and set the hair, and a bit more on how Lariel would look.

I also tweaked Coraline's base materials (the skin) to have a more bluish colour for being an undine.
