Ezren 3rd is using legacy spells until that prejen gets remastered (unless a same-name spell has received errata).

In this case, I think you make an attack roll.

What I've never been entirely clear on is if I have to declare that before I roll the recovery check. I've seen it ruled that way, it looks like RAW, I don't see anything about that.

"You can do this when your dying condition would increase"

That seems a legal move to me, to critically fail from Dying 2, causing your Dying condition to raise by 2 more (to Death for most characters), triggering the sentence quoted above. Furthermore, it doesn't say "spend your hero point before rolling" so I think you are good to go!

Could Endra try tanking for this one? I know she’s an archer, but she’s also the most durable character.

Do you mean generally getting between Dorenea and some other characters? She'll do less damage with her sword, but she could try it. Firstly I think we need to all back away from it and force it to pick one of us from being more spread out. Let me see if we're more spread out after this round.

Hmm, good reminder. I'm always so conservative with those, "saving them up," but probably better they add success when they can.

Pregens do not use Remastered spells unless they say them on their sheet. Ray of Frost has been errata'd - that is the version we will be using!

Wounded

Hey, I won't have the chance to do much again, but I do have a holy water on my body. It may not matter due action economy efficiencies. Also Jaehaera is only wounded 1. Flory treated wounds after the first fight, and a successful Treat Wounds removes the wounded condition, and no matter how I went down, you only increase the wounded condition by 1 after being brought down. To get Wounded 2, or 3, I'd have to fall, be brought back up and fall again without having Treat Wounds
