Dwarven ale tastes best. Agree... or well... just agree.

Discussin'!
I have a GM Glyph, so someone gets an extra Hero Point. I'll offer it to one of the level 5 PCs.

Reason Vanetta asked about languages is that she has Ancestral Linguistics. She can "remember" a language during daily preparations. Normally she'd take the regional language of the human or humanoid population, but in this case, she might remember having learned Draconic from a kobold she worked a caravan with.
She uses Bon Mot as one method to gain panache, so speaking the prevalent language can be important.
If GM wants a Secret Society check for her to know, it's +12 and she has Creighton's Crossover to reroll a failure using Pathfinder Lore also at +12.

Checking in.
Rhaegal has the following boon:
Tarnbreaker Champions (General) While playing in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings, you can stay for free at any Ulfen or Varki inn or similar establishment, and you gain a 10% on all non-magical goods bought in Ulfen or Varki settlements (does not stack with any other discount or reduction in price). Also, you gain a +1 circumstance bonus on all Diplomacy checks to Make A Request while playing in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.

It was Atae.
Who inspired my own Captivator Sorcerer! At least she will be when she gets up to level 4.

This is weird, it does not look like faerie dragons who are familiars speak draconic, only sylvan but regular ones do speak draconic.

I'm going to be busy for the next 2 days, so please bot me if necessary.

I'm at a conference this week. I should be able to post in the late evenings, but it may be sparse or inconsistent. Please bot if needed.

Well that would have been cooler without having to burn a hero point.

I was getting confused over who had been Befriended and who hadn't. I added a purple heart and a couple words to the slides to keep track. But basically, all of them except Manglefang have been "befriended." Now if that only meant they'd behave....

The dice do not like that guy.

The 22 Bon Mot isn't a Crit. Will DC is Will Save mod + 10 (CRB p 445). Based on this post , their Will mod is +11, so their DC is 21. (And in all honesty, I should have noticed that in your earlier post which would have made my post less complicated. Sorry.) It's a success, but just barely.

I have a cleric of calistria/captivator and a telepath psyhic with bon mot, great feat

We can't have every roll be a crit. I guess.

Points of Order.
Both Revna and Green go prone. Revna takes d6 damage
Revna and Green are also Blinded. Revna also takes damage from Deroff (-19). Red remains standing despite the Grease.
Then....
That misses Revna.
Revna strikes back at Khaul
Again, Revna and Green were Prone AND blinded, and there was no DC 11 flat check for being blinded and thus Khaul being Hidden. Did Revna stand from prone? If not, were her Strikes adjusted for the -2? Is she still prone? If not, which action did she not take to Stand instead - the second Strike or the shield raise? Did she not need to make another Reflex save after standing, if that's what she did? Is she still blinded and therefore Flat-footed to all opponents?
Wild Shape would provoke an AOO.
Green was Blinded. I don't think he can take an AO.

I forgot she was prone - so one of those actions would be to stand up - most likely the first strike. I also forgot she was blinded.

CRB pg 299 says "Both prepared and spontaneous spellcasters can cast a spell at a higher spell level than that listed for the spell. This is called heightening the spell." (emphasis added)
Heightening raises the Spell Level. Haste (CRB pg 343) is normally a Spell 3, but can be heightened and cast as a 7th level Spell to affect more creatures.
phaeton_nz
|
OK. It's Spell Slot. So Revna is the only one Hasted. She is listed as a CR 7 so I thought I'd better check.
Khaul Irontoe
|
I don't suppose her being prone and thus flat-footed turned Khauls miss into a hit?
phaeton_nz

She got up.
Miladistra
|
When the spell says Heightened 7th - does that refer to the level of the spell slot or the level of the caster - bacause if it is the level of the spell slot, only Revna is Hasted
One change that I'm looking forward to in the remaster is how they will change spell level to spell rank. There are a lot of rules where it's easy to confuse spell level with character level, which leads to wildly different effects.
I assume Revna cast the rank 7 version of Haste, which should affect more creatures. I wish I could cast rank 7 Haste at level 7, though.
Avonathalanthalasa Caldon
|
I would not assume that she could cast the spell with a 7th level version of haste. CR 7 does not necessarily mean that she has access to 7th level spells, her description should give her abilities and spells and what level spells she has access to casting.
Rhaegal Dragonkin
|
Yeah, CR7 probably means casting level/rank 3 or 4 spells. She's still casting at level 7 (ie modifiers of level 7), just only able to use spells and slot of rank 3 or 4. (Hmm, not sure I love the word Rank for this. Maybe Tier would have been better.)
But moot now that she's by herself.

I presume Vanetta is the lead on this Diplomacy check with her +17+1 (vs Ulfens). If so, I'll let others go ahead with Aid rolls. If someone else wants to take the lead, I'm okay with that, and she'll Aid them.
Khaul Irontoe
|
Likewise.
Miladistra
|
The lead is all yours, Vanetta.
My level 7 Bard is at +15 Diplomacy, so it must be your Diplomat's badge that gives the +1 bonus. I'll make a note to buy that for him later.

One of my favorite characters in PF1E was a half elf bard named Phoebee, who was a bard of Sheyln. She also has levels in Evangelist and at 6th or 7th level has an insane modifier to her diplomacy checks!

Am I mistaken, or did that sound like the Conclusion? Are we just doing wrap ups, or are we going somewhere else in this adventure?
phaeton_nz

It is wrap up - I just wanted to ensure your PCs were able to say goodbye to the little linnorms.

Oh, didn't remove the level bump. Not that it matters with that roll.
