Brightberry |
Brightberry was not unconscious, but he could share with you that he was not worried about Redleaf's destruction. He can make another body for red leaf. He's also very interested in making more plant bodies for the spirits to invite. Perhaps you could help with that?

@Brightberry: Heh heh, once you read this little vignette I'm preparing, you'll understand why Tibold would be very happy to help with that request.
@Unconscious and nearly dead people: I'd love to have a volunteer if you're willing. Saoirse is my personal top pick since she actually "died," but I will settle for any of you three.

Go nuts, and describe one wild drug ride after ingesting it.
Sigvald will likely try if people get high after using his blood, and then debate if trying to become a drug kingpin in a great idea because money, or a terrible idea because risky.
Saoirse Oparaeal |
I'd totally be game! Figured after being pretty much clinically dead before the burst of energy, Saoirse would be out for most of the trip, likely carried in a wagon so plenty of opportunity.
Saoirse Oparaeal |
Nice Mad Scientist moment! On a side note, I'm pretty sure Saoirse is now a convert to The Green Faith. lol

I definitely wasn't smiling the entire time I was reading it lol

2 things:
1. I definitely combined Brightberry and Redleaf's names.
2. If Brightberry is leaving the dog behind, and if we have time, and if it's allowed, we could retrain some tricks to make it more kid friendly.
Brightberry |
Ooh, good point with the doggo. Brightberry and Redleaf's names are direct descriptions of their physical appearance, so mixing up their names is like calling a tall person shorty. I'm not sure that they would understand that it's actually kinda funny.

When we get to the Kingmaker, kingdom building stage, totally nominate Green Faith for official religion and BB for Hierophant!
Brightberry |
Nope. Just making conversation and making connections. I can't even afford the 400 gp it cost to resummon him. Really, I was fishing to see if she works with plant folk, or just mammals.

When we get to the Kingmaker, kingdom building stage, totally nominate Green Faith for official religion and BB for Hierophant!
Brightberry gladly accepts your future nomination!
Saoirse Oparaeal |
How's that going to affect class abilities with a range or requiring flanking, spell AOE etc?
Remismun "Remis" Mandruleanu |
GM make sure you update our initiatives in your formulas up top. Just something I noticed when the page was loading.
Brightberry |
As he said, Brightberry's main concern right now is getting Redleaf back. He needs for one week from his passing and the gold from the job. Following that, he's fine with dealing with the Piaxians next.
Remismun "Remis" Mandruleanu |
@ GM I looked through the posting history, the only mention of Krayquer is a girl describing someone. Is that the captain at the fort?
EDIT
Omg. Found it.

Will work up a shopping list shortly.
Tibold Crenshaw |
Elfriede shouts at her "We need healing out here. Get back out here and help me out."
The orcs and orog search the fallen at Elfriede's direction looking for healing.
Elfriede stomps her foot in frustration, "BB, you owe me money or some healing here!!"
The image of the witch standing among bodies throwing a tantrum is going to live in my mind's eye of gaming memories. I just can't explain how much it makes me chuckle.
Tibold Crenshaw |
Are we really getting 1000g? Shouldn't it only be 750g? Not upset, naturally, and probably getting a swift kick from the other players under the table, but just want to make sure.

Phew, time moves so quickly in this game!
I haven't forgotten about you, Remis! I saw your post, but I was busy with work and other game postings (I'm a GM myself.)
Also, shopping...probably one of the most intimidating things for me, because I always feel like I make subpar choices. I'll try to make some final decisions soon.
Saoirse Oparaeal |
Yeah I don't quite get what the issue is. The tartuccio post wasn't likely to be something every character would have responded to since not the whole party are built for social interactions.

I don't think that we need less posts. Maybe just spending a little more time within each scene. That could least to even more posts. Are you wanting to move us along to a certain spot?
Saoirse Oparaeal |
Agreed. I don't think a slower posting rate is necessary. In cases like this where an NPC is interacting with a PC in a social interaction, it might just be that the other PC's don't feel the need to post (especially if they aren't built for social interactions).
I suppose even a post about silently listening to the exchange, helps to move things forward. Or interacting with Sarah Jean while the conversation is going on. Definitely a little more time in the scenes, rather than quick jumps from one scene to the next might lead to more engagement. Just a thought.
Tibold Crenshaw |
Sorry, I forgot to notify you all. I have just recently received the keys to my new apartment, and I have begun moving stuff over. Weekends will likely be a busier time for me, so I apologize if I don't post Sat & Sun.
Also, I should tell you that large sums of money in RPGs are almost paralyzing to me, lol. There are usually so many choices that I take forever deciding. I'll try to find some time between packing boxes to really sit down and chew on the that to finally post. I've been holding off on getting involved until I had figured out what Tibold had done to update his gear and equipment.
As far as his story motivations are concerned, with a negative Cha, he's not likely to get involved in the conversations where diplomatic finesse may be required. It's funny how his Int is good enough for him to know he's just not cut out to make people like him. At least not without science! Point being, he's likely a wallfly mostly daydreaming about some experiment or observing the effects of the recent god-mode enabled on the rest of the party.
Also, curious about Edoom. How did Edoom get elevated? If there's any interest in elaborating on how he got Mythically charged.
Brightberry |
Tibold, I hear your about the socializing bit. Bright Mary is certainly wise enough to see the course of what actions would take, but not only is this charisma s negative he is also a xenophobe. It is just not a people person!
Shopping. This is a real struggle for me because I'm trying to stay in this character I've created. I am purchasing absolutely nothing because I'm saving up to create more plant folk in the future. These plant folk I create are not going to be under my heel in any way. They will have complete free will of what they want to do which makes it and even harder thing for me as a player to do. I just really want to see this story progress.
Our mythical elevation has created me to think a little higher of my companion flash bags. This is a great boon for me as a companion because now I might not have to exterminate you in the future. ;)
GM Tribute |
We are moving to a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday update schedule. If there is a lack of posts, I will just skip an update as I won't even have to open the campaign tab.
When only one character posts a course of action, it has determined what everyone has done. When one person posts I assume the scene was boring and was moving on to the next scene, but now we can move at your pace.
Remismun "Remis" Mandruleanu |
-20 gp for copying forumalae
Edoom |
I have business contacts from out of the country with me tomorrow and Thursday, so don't let me hold things up. I'll try to post, but sometimes things go longer than expected.
Sorry if I'm not posting more... but I'm really confused with what we're supposed to be doing. Maybe it's my late arrival to the party, but are we not on the way to this fort? I'll certainly pick up my posting once I figure out what's going on.
Tibold Crenshaw |
Sarah Jean's description of what Brevoy's trying to do is an interesting take given the so-called 'Stolen Lands' are essentially a lawless frontier and are inhabited by a lot of non-indigenous folks/creatures. :P
Even looking at the River Kingdoms as a whole, I'd dare say it's hard to claim anyone is really indigenous given most of the petty fiefdoms are populated by people who showed up and carved out a piece through blood and bones. There's literally a section magically confiscated by a bubble of the ocean!
Indigenous people, indeed.
Saoirse Oparaeal |
The fey, orcs, trolls, kobolds might beg to differ.
Saoirse Oparaeal |
That's the point. It's funny how it's paralleling real world colonization. It's about weather those already living there are considered people, by those showing up to claim a piece of it.
Brightberry |
Which is exactly what I'm actually fighting for. To keep human people from over-colonizing and destroying the land. Plant people are people too! The stolen lines can be a thriving community of peoples without having cleared lands and big cities.
Tibold Crenshaw |
That all depends, on your view. The lore states Brevoy has claimed the land of which Sarah Jean speaks as theirs by "right" but hasn't been settled. I can't recall what the Brevoy entry in Kingmaker book 1 states about how far back this claim goes or its basis; the concept of who is indigenous and who isn't gets very fuzzy.
Specifically, her statement:
"Brevoy is offering titles to rule over lands that people and creatures have lived in somewhat peacefully for years."
Based on what I know...this borders on being an outright lie if not at least an extreme simplification of the current status quo in the Stolen Lands.
My comment was mostly to illustrate how wonderfully rosy her glasses are when she imagines the River Kingdom to be indigenously peopled and "peaceful." :P
