Saph walks into the room pulling a headless dead body behind her. She stops and lets it fall to the ground. Then presses a button on the side of her temple. From out of her eyes projects a slim well-dressed salesman hologram.

"Hello, Valued customer, and welcome to this new owner's prevention. Thank you for ordering the killbot 3000 from Mecha-death Industries. Your Killbot 3000 has been designed to satisfy all your deathly needs. The all-new Killbot 300 comes with the NEW AND IMPROVED emotion simulation pack. Your kill bots will now tell its victims how sorry it feels, and how it understands how upsetting it can be to have onces heart cut out. A nice caring touch from your Kill Bot 3000. We at Mecha-death Industries have pre-weaponized and skills-enhanced your bot at no extra cost. Ask your killbot 3000 to make some tea, and change the bed sheet it will do so happily before you send it over to your irritating neighbors, You know the ones, next door who always seem to have a better cart than yours, better-behaved kids, better work at the local craft house. Why now send killbot 3000 over to them with a plate of cookies and ask it to bring back their livers? Go on, you know you want to, and what is a better way to test your punches? We hope you do and feel satisfied with kill bot 3000. Terms and conditions apply, all sales are non refundable, and Mecha-death Industries accepts no liability for any criminal indictments you may be exposed to when using your KillBot 3000, thank you and a good buy."

The projection stopped and Saph stooped, picked up the arm of the dead body, and started once more to drag once more.

Trying to recover from the shock of the loss of such a powerful guardian and ally, Constantine tried to save any he could find and dispatch any abyssal foes. Scavenging wasn't completely out of his nature; despite being a Paladin his childhood in Cheliax was far from comfortable. Picking through garbage, taking things from dead shopkeepers and craftsman, while unseemly for most paladins, was necessary for survival. Perhaps the dirt on his armor and clothes was befitting his reduced station. Connecting with other survivors, foraging for food and water, locating weapons and other supplies, he hoped there was some sort of regrouping area or staging point for other survivors.

More than anything the fury he felt against the Worldwound and all its demons, taint, and collaborators kept him alive.

I am proposing specific story beats for some, eventually all characters, you can also propose some to me.

All story beats will basically include a "frenemy", possibly an optional sideboss etc.

You can also propose some of your own! Just pm me.

Putting his skills as both a bodyguard, and a soldier to use, as well as a strong desire to survive this crusade, Sigrat would have attached himself to the highest profile caster and serve as a bodyguard. He excels at breaking chargers with his halberd, and can soften up the toughest of foes with his challenge, which causes the target to take a (admittedly small) penalty to their saves vs spells. Sigrat may not be the smartest, but he's damn tough, and is a good soldier.

(Not quite at the point where I can invalidate ranged attacks towards me and adjacent allies yet, but I'll get there! And at this level +4 to AC with bodyguard is nothing to sneeze at.)

Survival is not something new for Sahala. She found herself a cavalier of dubious morality as a bodyguard (having slept with him and charmed him with magic, of course). A little later, in a skirmish with cultists and demons, he was killed, but she managed to escape again. Survive, survive, survive... Nothing new for the always persecuted tiefling witch.

UPD I wrote this before I read post from Sigrat. Funny .)
Hmmmm...
Perhaps Sahala already has plans that he will take the place of the fallen bodyguard.

Ok, your starting position is anywhere within the yellow area (you do see the 2 yellow lines, your can play your characters anywhere south east of them). You have a surprise round, and then the actual initiative order starts.

Note: All enemies are currently entangled, the wagon is also entangled, and it was being drawn by the 2 melee mooks.

Double note:
@Sigrat
I am ignoring the FAQ on bodyguard which makes it mostly useless, so bodyguard away.
The dumb thing is that, to bodyguard according to the FAQ, the enemy who attacks cannot be in cover, but typically, whoever you are seeking to bodyguard will be between you and the foe, giving the foe cover.
Are you OK with me rolling the AoO for you? Also, are you certain about your stat spread of 10 dex 14 wis? It will be a bit before you get mythic combat reflexes.

HP:44|BaB:4|AC:23(25) T:10 FF:23(25)|Fort:6 Ref:1 Will:4(5 vs chaotic outsiders/spells)(+1 vs fear)

Once I have it though, I won't need dex again :) Attacks of opportunity for ever and ever. Perhaps he is beginning to get a little old, and stiffer than he used to be. Go ahead and roll the AoO for me; I'll say that as a default you can make the check. Remember that the helpful trait means if he succeeds on an AC 10 to hit check, he adds 4 to AC instead of 2. I'm looking into other ways to make that scale as well...

Wont need dex again, "laughs villainously in initiative and reflex saves", the ones I remember for aid another need various dipping in cavalier, or for using gloves of arcane striking you would need to be a bloodrager (as they can get arcane strike at level 5, and mythic arcane strike is legit great, as it is kind of martial flexibiliy because nothing stops you from adding training enchancements).

HP:44|BaB:4|AC:23(25) T:10 FF:23(25)|Fort:6 Ref:1 Will:4(5 vs chaotic outsiders/spells)(+1 vs fear)

I'm already VMC cavalier, but for order of the staff instead of the dragon. This will still be useful as an additional rider on my aid another checks though! The ring of tactical precision and benevolent armor also help. Initiative I will admit may be a slight problem, but it's mythic; either we go first or I'm hopelessly outmatched either way. And as far as reflex saves, I do plan on picking up spellcut some day... :) I hope to not get Worf'd as often as the eponymous character though!

I get that was your intention DM, avoiding a long wade into battle, but Sigrat would have been waiting far away to avoid making too much noise. Sure I could have started closer, but I kind of like the ducking from caster to caster until he makes it to the front approach! It feels fun, even if it isn't efficient.

Oh, general GMing style of me:

1: There are really hard fights, in which I pull no punches whatsorever.
These are advertized with big red "optional fights, enter at your own risk" signs, or "boss fight" signs. Unless you go out of your way in terms of annoying powerful entities, I am not out to kill you.

2: Do not hesitate to PM me or spoiler me funny ideas and unusual solutions to any problem! We are not playing warhammer fantasy against each other! The worst that can happen is a PM with "no, thats not going to work but keep it coming!".

3: I do not intend for fights to be completely easy, or even just easy, unless you have earned it. In the current situation, the enemies think that they have totally and utterly won and ruined Kenabres, which is what currently makes them stupid and antagonistic.

Feel free to make the following Kn planes check as a free action (players who would innately know this and dont need a kn check have been Pmed), note, I dislike the lore as written a bit, so Sarkoris actually put up a major, impressive, if ultimatiely futile fight (think Poland in WW2, or the Volga-Bulgars against the Mongol invasion):

Dc15 Kn planes:

Deskaris inititial invasion of Sarkoris wasnt exactly successfull, and only Baphomets entry into the war truly changed things. The Kellid army was destroyed at the twin battles of Gundrun and Raliscrad, in both of these battles, the Kellids were prevailing against their Deskarite foes until Baphomet made his presence known. By mass-assasinating Kellid leadership in Raliscrad, or by controlling Kellid-Mendevian siege engineers and having them fire on Kellid positions in Gundrun.
Deskari worshippers tend to have a major chip on thier shoulder regarding that!

So as much as I might want to keep my mouth shut, fairness dictates that I should not. Halberd's don't have reach. I actually chose it for that very reason, being one of the few polearms without it. GM notes: Ok, combat took about 3 weeks in real time but I think it went reasonably quickly and is probably aligned with peoples posting expetations.

General statement concerning GM NPCs (as it may come up soon):

--There is always a tradeoff between how useful they are and how much of an own agenda they have (or how volatile they are). The more useful in or out of combat, the more sneakyness and/or crazyness is there.

--You will be accompanied by different NPCs at different points, these NPC may or may not be relevant to the overall plot, or to your specific personal plots resulting from campaign traits.

--A number of these possible GMNPCs do not get along with each other, there will not be more GMNPCs in an active party then 1.

--Early on, the GM NPCs may well be mildly more powerful then the players, the possible recruits are supposed to tank some hits for you and survive the results. Once you get into mythic, that changes a lot.

@GM, It seems to me it would be better to put notes, etc. - things that we will react to in the game thread - also under the spoiler right in the game thread.

@All players, let's somehow describe the appearance of their characters? The fight has passed - it seems to be a good moment.

Descriptions would be great indeed! Also, dont worry, all of you are going to get their special items.

Added the lootlist. As for dividing it, plot relevant items go to their characters, make it reasonably fair otherwise.
