Dennis laughs when Mimi calls it a "poop deck." When he sees her listening at the door, he agrees. "Yes, let's listen at the doors first." While she's listening at the northern door, Dennis moves to the southern door to listen.

Assuming he hears similar muffled sounds...
He rejoins Mimi, "Nothing interesting there either." He quickly adds, "Oooh ... if it's locked, I have lockpicks. I got them for my birthday. I've been practicing." He stands next to Mimi, ready to help with the door. Or enter.

Dennis hears sounds of someone moving around, the light clang of a tool against metal, but no voices from the other door.

Mimi find the door unlocked. Behind it is a short corridor, with a door on the left, a door on the right, and one at the end. The voices come from the last.
It sounds like a crewmember giving a report to the captain in the Goblin language on how repairs are going. She seems unconcerned and confident they'll be successful.

After listening at the southern door, Dennis quickly returns to the group. He's overly excited to provide an official report. He puffs out his chest and stands up straight. "No voices. Just someone clanging on some metal." He relaxes and admits, "Sounds like fun. Making a racket. Can we do that later?" He looks to the group hopefully.

Seeing BK playing with the Brass Ear, Dennis' eyes light up. "That looks like a fun toy! Can I try it next time?" When Mimi prepares to kick in the door, the young fighter gets serious and stands ready.

Hero Point for Mimi.

The door bursts open!

This finely appointed room can only be the captain’s quarters. A silken bed made with military precision stands in the corner. On the solid oak table rests a detailed map of the Inner Sea detailing dozens of crisscrossing trade routes.

An imposing figure with tanned gray skin stands tall behind the map, contemplating his next move. The handle of a two-handed axe juts from
behind the desk, well within his reach. He wears a long coat over his leather armor, and his hat can only belong to the captain.

There are two other pirates here, hobgoblin women wearing padded armor with daggers and scimitars at their belts.

"What are you doing?" barks the captain, "Get back below--who gave you weapons?" He reaches for his axe.

EDIT: Was just about to edit my post, but the GM beat me to it! It's late at night and I forgot we have a couple bards with us. I was gonna include in my post that Dennis would Delay for any bardic inspiration. If that happens, perhaps our benevolent GM would consider that, in case it makes a difference. Thanks!

With the door open, Dennis (waits for some bardic inspiration) before rushing past Mimi into the stateroom. He takes a quick look around and sees the captain in the corner. "Nice hat, Mister. I'm Dennis. When you're done with it, can I have it as a souvenir? But first, we have to stop you from doing bad things to nice people."

Dennis draws his halberd in a surprisingly fluid motion (via Quick Draw, see below), considering the weapon is nearly as long as he is tall, and strikes twice in succession at the Captain.

+1 Halberd w/ Reach vs Captain Hat: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28 (+1 for IC?)
Piercing Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 (+1 for IC?)

Mimi will officially delay on Pennypockets's turn in case he wishes to grace us with some Inspire Courage. The following turn assumes that is the case. If not, then -1 on the attacks and damage rolls.

Action (◇): Delay - Until the end of Pennypockets's turn

Mimi lets Dennis step in ahead of her as she quickly surveys the situation. Spotting her target, she dashes past Dennis and rushes at the captain as Pennypockets's sweet goblin words provide the background music. Just as she reaches the hobgoblin, she digs her heel into the deck and cuts past him to the right, twisting and skewering him twice with her rapier.

Action 1 (◆): Tumble Through with Tumble Behind (35 feet) vs Captain Tadrun

Acrobatics (Tumble Through/Behind): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28 vs Captain Tadrun Reflex DC

I'm going to assume this is enough to give her Panache.

Panache!:
Note: Panache gives Mimi a +10 status bonus to speed (now 45ft) and she deals +2 Precise Strike precision damage. She also gets to use the Confident Finisher action for +2d6 Precise Strike precision damage instead.

Action 2 (◆): Strike (+1 Rapier) with Panache & Precise Strike and Inspire Courage vs Captain Tadrun

Rapier Attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 9 + 1 + 1 = 28

Rapier Precise Strike Damage: 2 = 2 precision piercing damage

Crit? If so, then double the damage and add the following Deadly d8.

Rapier Deadly D8: 1d8 ⇒ 5 piercing damage

Action 3 (◆): Strike (+1 Rapier) with Panache & Precise Strike, Inspire Courage and MAP1 vs Captain Tadrun

Now in the throng of combat, the friendly goblin reverts to type and becomes the horrid little thing of Sandpoint nightmares past.

Quadennillia's bomb sails past Dennis and Pennypockets, bursting and releasing its foul-smelling contents as it strikes the pirate.

Tadrun looks startled and shaken at Pennypockets's song.
Not enough to stop him from throwing a punch as Mimi moves uncomfortably close to him. She realizes, perhaps too late, that he wears a spiked gauntlet on his left hand which strikes he in the side.
But that doesn't prevent her from adding two new holes to the body of the hobgoblin captain.

"You're not prisoners," he snarls as he grasps his weapon, his focus all but entirely on his most recent assailant, "Raiders! Kill them!"
The axe is suddenly in his hands, whipping up at lightning speed to land a devastating blow.

And the pirate hit by Quadennillia's bomb, still covered with the foul-smelling goop, steps carefully towards Dennis as her scimitar slips into her hand. With a twirl, she drives the blade towards him; he just barely manages to parry the blow.
She shakes her head and seems to fight off any lingering effects of the bomb.

Quadennillia's attack hits, though just barely since they have cover against her.
Pennypockets successfully Demoralizes Tadrun!
Tadrun makes an Attack of Opportunity as Mimi tries to enter his space--hit for 9 piercing damage.
She surely succeeds at Tumbling Through, but doesn't critically succeed (this makes no difference, but it's information you're entitled to that you may find useful). She hits with both of her attacks.
Tadrun draws his weapon, Hunts Mimi as Prey, and attacks her--crit for 32 slashing damage, including 2 precision (natural 20, no way around that one). His Frightened condition ticks down to 0.
Blue Pirate draws her scimitar, Steps, and attacks Dennis. It's a miss, but she does succeed at the flat check to end persistent damage.

With BK's performance following up Pennypockets' spoken word, Dennis is enjoying a plethora of inspiration. Not that he needs much encouragement to stab people with his steel toy.

Stating the obvious, the youngster asks, "Ummm...Pennypockets? He's not surrendering. Can we teach him a lesson?" Since he's under the delusion his feint went so well last time, Dennis tries the tactic again.

After the defeat of the final pirate, it's much quieter in the captain's quarters.

When Dennis sees the hopeless, lone, remaining pirate comically missing Mimi by a mile, the fighter laughs, "You are all, without a doubt, the worst pirates I've ever heard of."

The pirate grins and says sweetly, "Ahhh, dear lad, but you have hea..." Before the pirate finishes, the halberd finds her vocal chords. The pirate slumps to the floor mid-sentence, leaving all to ponder the mystery of her final words.

After the battle, Dennis pulls out a dirty cloth to clean his weapon. He then strides behind the Captains desk, whistling innocently. Pretending to search the desk, Dennis sees his prize still sitting atop the dead Captain's head. When no one is looking, Dennis borrows the Captain's tricorn hat.

Thievery: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

He puts it on and jumps up onto the desk with a flourish, sporting his new head gear. "How do I look?" And then with a pang of concern, he quickly asks, "Can I keep it? Oh please! Can I?" Assuming no objections, he continues to wear his new tricorn hat, as he follows the goblin into the hallway.

Why a Thievery roll for something you're doing openly, I must ask?
Also, new image added to Slides.

Dennis easily obtains the bloody hat.

Opening the door, Pennypockets finds a room not much smaller than the captain's quarters. The comfortable bed and expensive furnishing suggest this cabin was once intended for important passengers or dignitaries to travel in luxury.

A red-haired dwarf with a braided beard is tied to a chair, one of his eyes bruised by recent injuries.

"Eh?" says the dwarf, "You don't know?" he looks over the goblin's head, and he looks very interested noting non-goblinoids in the hall. "Oh, you're not one of them, are you? Sorry, my apologies. I know not all goblins are pirates, but all the pirates were goblins, so... Cut me free, would you lad?"

Dang it! That would've been the first time she'd have gotten an AoO from Opportune Riposte ever.

Mimi is about to skewer the hapless pirate but Dennis is a little quicker and finishes the woman off. When the talk turns philosophical, Mimi adds, "In my rapport to de Societee, I vill include de fact dat de enemy insisted on engageeng us despite multiple opportunités to drop deir arms and surrendre. Ve 'ad no choice in de matter but to keell de enemy in self defense. My conscience ees clear in dees matter." Despite the words, you feel as if Mimi isn't entirely convinced. Mary does a quick pass of the cabin and searches the bodies to see if there's anything of value.

No real reason other than the amusement of stealing a hat from a dead person, while the group isn't looking, and making a ridiculous grand entrance wearing it. Also, PFS has precious few occasions for Thievery checks, so if my PC is trained, I try to work it in when I can! But I do apologize for any confusion.

Dennis watches as BK rescues the dwarf and exclaims, "Mimi's right. You're Ganthur, aren't you? Zoha is our friend too. He said you help free captives. We like helping people too." He quickly adds, "But only good people. Not bad ones, like the former Captain." Dennis shows off his headwear proudly, "He gave me his hat!"

"Ganthur, yes," says the dwarf, rubbing his wrists, "I'm Ganthur. Zoha, huh? Well, that's good then."

He slumps back in his chair and looks uncertainly at Pennypockets. "Mostly hobgoblins, yes, but I've seen one or two of the smaller goblins about. They might not be here now. Most of the crew's ashore. I haven't seen any bugbears, but I can't promise there aren't any.

"Did you now?" he says in a bemused tone to Dennis, "Uh, aren't you a little young for this? Well. Did you all defeat that captain? Although I see it took something out of you." He grimaces at Mimi's wounds. "He didn't seem to like me much, but the feeling was most assuredly mutual. You didn't happen to find a clan dagger in there, did you? He stole mine."

Did we find nothing in the captain's quarters? It seems odd that there wouldn't be a treasure bundle or two in there.

When Ganthur questions the fighter's youth, Dennis stands up tall and puffs out his chest. "Mister, I'm way older than I look. And I've been trained by the Pathfinders. Only the best society in all of Golarion. And yes, we defeated the captain." Turning to the group, "Well, Mimi mostly. I helped too. And Qen and Sunshine beat up the other pirates. And BK and Pennypockets sang songs of glory to help us win."

Staring at Ganthur's beard, Dennis continues, "I like your beard. It's real bushy." Rubbing his own chin, he admits, "Mine is still ... coming in. Anyway, yes, we're good at finding things. We found you! We'll find your lost dagger too." After a very quick pause for a breath, "Our friend Safa talked about hostages. Do you know where they are? We need to help them." Bk poses at the mention of his name and takes a look at Mimi's wounds. But other than look at it he does nothing to help. "Naaasty looking thing."

Changing directions quickly, he trots off saying, "A clan dagger, huh? Could be in the other room or better hidden in the cabin. I'll go take a look."

BK heads on over to the Cabin for a more thorough search.

Ganthur doesn't move from his chair, despite being freed from it. "I'm sorry, I'm just exhausted. Let me think. Hostages. Yes.

“I secured passage on a fishing boat to meet with a ship called the Triumph in the open seas two days ago. Our fishing boat was boarded, and Tadrun took everyone captive. The Triumph descended upon the Swift Huntress as she headed to Sedeq. They gave as good as they got, each ship unable to continue the fight. I’m surprised we made it to port—and I hope the Triumph is still afloat somewhere!

"The other captives are sailors and fishers from the boat, mostly. Entirely? I lost track. Tadrun dragged me up here because he thought I had some information he wanted, but the others were below decks. Probably forcing them to help keep the ship afloat. Hm. Two doors, solid deck floor between us and them, other end of the ship, barking orders at prisoners, attention on repairs... it's plausible the other pirates didn't hear you fighting. They'd probably be here now if they had."

The dwarf stands, but looks wobbly on his feet. "I don't... know that I'm going to be very helpful to you. I was tied to that chair for a.. day? Two? But if you want to save the others, I'd be mighty thankful."

On Tadrun's person, in addition to his weapon and armor, Mimi finds an old key. For the most part the only things of value in these rooms are the furniture, but you also find an ornate compass, a well-used spyglass, and a clan dagger mounted on the wall.

The room across the hall is of a similar style to Ganthur's makeshift cell. It lacks a bed, but two hammocks are strung here. Officer quarters? A quick search finds no portable valuables.

As Ganthur tells his tale, Dennis pulls out his writing pad and his colored wax pencils. He takes notes, accompanying them with colored pictures of the two vessels described in the story. When the dwarf finishes, Dennis says, "Thanks! You're very helpful! We'll save everyone!" He packs away his artwor...er... notes.

Suddenly, he jumps up and says, "Wait! Be right back!" He suddenly remembers a weapon mounted on the wall in the Captain's quarters. He races to the nearby room, grabs the clan dagger off the wall, and runs back. "Is this what you wanted?" He proudly hands the item to the dwarf.

"Yes!" says Ganthur, looking relieved. "Probably?" He examines the dagger and beams. "Yes! That's it. Thank you for that."
