If someone with a double digit Reflex save did it, Ra’uf could use his champion’s reaction to reduce the damage.

Arfsnarf's eyes bug out as the clacky rock rolls under the door. The kayal who lost his grip on it is equally shocked. Arfsnarf grabs the door and instantly receives a shock.

Arfsnarf doesn't manage to let go in time and takes the entire charge.

On the other side of the door you see a large room that appears to be a lounge, but all of the couches, chairs, tables, and other furniture have been pushed against the walls to maximize space in the center of the room. Three beings are waiting for you. Two are the same kayals you've been facing all day, but the third is a mysteriously dark figure cloaked in black.

I know Arfsnarf is the logical choice to open the door, but Ra'uf is peeved that someone else did it. Was I able to use my reaction to help, or was that not enough like combat?

Ra'uf glanced back at Arfsnarf with wide, watery eyes and calls out, "Get over here so I can fix that!". He then turns to the matter at hand.

You free an ally from restraint. If the trigger was an ally taking damage, the ally gains resistance to all damage against the triggering damage equal to 2 + your level. The ally can attempt to break free of effects grabbing, restraining, immobilizing, or paralyzing them. They either attempt a new save against one such effect that allows a save, or attempt to Escape from one effect as a free action. If they can move, the ally can Step as a free action, even if they didn’t need to escape.
