Rocko has an idea of how to have nicer meals while out in the field, and he'd like to go about putting a plan together. He knows there are 'bags of holding' that could contain better cooking gear and ingredients, possibly even with a way to keep food fresh.

A Handy Haversack is probably sufficient in volume for what you're looking for, and much cheaper than a full-on Bag of Holding.

He'd also like to spend time with people around time trying to pick up their cooking techniques so he can do meals more like everyone else likes (which Rocko likes eating too). After all, why not enjoy the trip more?

Yes this is bald-faced cribbed from the anime Campfire Cooking in Another World, but hey, it fits Rocko's ideals too.

If you'd like, I'll allow you to take a couple free ranks of Profession(Cook) instead of a trait. Certainly won't unbalance the game any.

Uptdated her stats on here, still deciding on a feat. My initial thoughts are between Improved Initiative (+4 bonus!) and Versatile Summon Monster for the ability to change up her summons, probably with the fiery or primordial templates. Given that she now has the rod though for the giant template, I worry that I'd be putting too much focus on them.

Up to you. There's no problem with being focused if that's what you prefer to take.

Was also considering the possibility of retraining her Extra Chanel feat for another now that we've got boatloads more healing options.

I'll allow it if you decide to do so.

If rando approves of my downtime stuff, I was going to pick up the Warrior of Old racial[elf] trait, for a +2 init bonus.

Approved.

I'll give it a bit more thought then, thank you. By the way... uh, is anyone confident on the amount of money we should be having individually? for some reason I'm listed as only having 0.41 GP, and I don't think that's accurate.

FYI, the first post of adventure 9 is up, but only Djack is currently in scene. No rush anyone else posting in-game as I know we're still deciding stuff about characters.

Awesome! Thanks for allowing that.

My leadership score would be 11, I think, unless you want to add any of the conditional modifiers like “great renown” or “fairness and generosity.”

I’ll work on my downtime today, as well as getting some stats up for my cohort.

In terms of downtime, Amideo have two main focuses. First, he'd send for permission from his cavalier order (the Order of the Blue Rose) to establish a chapterhouse as a part of his duties as circuit judge. He'd then take a couple weeks to do a patrol of his circuit, making sure the small communities around Albarra are safe and peaceful. I could see him even travelling with Yoltzin some, as they'd both be out in the countryside.

On returning, my idea is that the order approves his request and sends someone as his attache and herald. That someone would be a bard named Augusto Sandoval, a friend of Amideo's from his days as a squire.

As a cohort, he'd only be 5th level, so will mostly be backline support for the party, performing and slinging spells.

The rest of his downtime would be spent getting affairs of the town and chapterhouse in order, as well as selecting/training deputies to ensure they meet his standards for integrity and care for the people.

Sorry I haven't checked in recently. Busy week at work, illness running through the family, and coming up to the deadline to take care of some stuff on my dad's estate.

I will try to send an updated character sheet through FB messenger later today. I will assume Rocko got the shield, modified Rosentos's armor so he could wear it comfortably without being obvious to its source, and I'll add two free cooking ranks.

Honestly, I'm not sure I've ever given Rocko any traits? I'll have to look

Having trouble picking a feat... my HeroLab is down, the laptop is was on is toast (fried monitor)... will work on it soon!

Here's the alias for my cohort! Didn't add any gear, wasn't sure how we wanted to do it. Otherwise he should be good to go.

Just buy him gear as if he were one level lower than his actual level, that should be fine. I believe you said he was 5th level, so the 4th level amount of gear would be 6000 gp worth. you can use any portion of that amount and then just assume mundane gear without tracking it.

Got an idea for a narrative writeup of my downtime. Rando, I know in the past you've done that, was wondering if you were still planning on doing it or if I should go ahead.

Please, feel free to write up your idea. If I have to make minor tweaks to it I will, but only if necessary.

Fun fact, the day that you chose for us to set out on just so happens to be my birthday!

I'm thinking of doubling down on friendly charisma... a little opposed/complimentary to Amideo's authoritarian(?) charisma.

Skill Focus (Diplomacy)?

Human Male Cavalier (circuit judge) 7 | HP 65 | AC24/T11/F24 | Saves F+7/R+3/W+3 |Perception +0 | Init +4

Authoritative, certainly, but I think Amideo would be equal parts sad and offended if someone called him authoritarian. His best skill is diplomacy, for the god's sake!

Diplo could be useful, but we also seem to have a shortage of capabilities for lying. Amideo wouldn't do it himself, but if someone else does it for a good reason, he doens't mind.

Up to you which way to spin it. Diplo would be +9, Bluff would become +8. Neither one is game breaking by its presence or absence.

Persuasive would give a +2 to both.

Piranha Strike is another fun one, basically power attack for finesse fighters.

Happy belated birthday!

And I'll try to make sure I'm checking in regularly, but lots of real life stuff happening these last few days. Doing house hunting and put in a formal offer on one today.

I choose the incorrect word. Sorry!

More like the difference between statesmanship and carousing? I don't know if I'm helping myself.

Perhaps I've missed it (I tried to go back and confirm)... Is Rico traveling with the group?

He is, yes.

No worries! That's a good way to put it, definitely. Amideo is certainly not laid-back and casual.
