Holding up the lantern, Farod raises an eyebrow at Morana:"You are kidding me, right?"
He sighs when Ardran starts his mage handing again while singing in an aggressive-sounding foreign tongue.
"Can we just shove some rubble into that crevice so nothing can sneak up on us from the back and continue trying to find an exit? Not many options left now."

Rolling his eyes at Farod's response to Morana's question, Wulfgar turned to the crevice to see if the fish-boned creature came out or if they would need to block it with rubble.

While they waited expectantly, Wulfar answered Farod's observation. "We could take the rubble from the sarcophagus lid and use it to fill the crevice." He shrugs "Since the things spit acid, they will be able to get through, but it may take a bit."

Hoping to himself that the rubble would hold long enough to let them leave the tomb and notify the officials that something strange was going on.

Still on guard Morana keeps her longspear pointed at the crevice. "I agree with Wulfgar. We should plug the hole. But I volunteer to look in the hole to see how far it goes. What do you guys think?"

Is the crevice large enough to place a weapon inside?

A spear or a straight sword would fit.

Morana decides to get down and look in the crevice. Hoping to see how far the hole goes and if the fish bone thing can be killed.

perception:1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

The crack winds and you can see about 10 feet of it. There is no ostovite present.

As Morana volunteers to peak in the hole, Wulfgar shrugs, not sure why she needed to ask. Looking at the others. "You've got the best vision for it." Gesturing toward his leg that she heeled, smiling; "Just watch out, they spit." As she peaks in he asks, "Shall we fill it with rocks or will something else fit better?"

with a huff Morana get up and reports "The crevice goes for ten feet before it winds out of view. Also the Fish bone thing appears to be gone. So back to the whole plugging it up idea?"

"Definitely don't want to leave this open. Worst case, there may be some kind of nest in the walls, and multiple of them could assail us from the back in a bad moment. The shelves in the room opposite collapsed, there's certainly more than enough rubble there."
Farod starts moving, setting the lantern down in the middle of the center room to have both hands free, taking as large pieces of stone as would fit and he can carry - with the assumption that the bugs may not have the strenght to push them, and using their acid would take quite some time.

Nodding in agreement with Farod, Wulfgar leans his polearm against the wall again, and takes off his pack. Taking out the crowbar, he points to the smaller pieces. "Here, use the crowbar and pack the little pieces in tight." After he hands off the crowbar he begins gathering some of the smaller pieces of rubble from the sarcophagus and setting them down beside the larger rubble Farod is dragging in.

I don't know if anyone wants to use the crowbar, if not we'll pretend he sat it down.

Taking the smaller pieces as Wulfgar suggests and Morana gathers them up in her cloak then waits for them to place the large piece in the crevice. Then she deposits the small piecees nearby. Reaching for the crowbar she begins to wedge the smaller pieces around the larger one with a few grunts. after she finishes she says "I hope I did a good job. Wish we could find out where this thing goes. I have a feeling it leads some where important."

"Not for us, I'm afraid, unless you have means to shrink us down to their size.", Farod muses in response, then looks around, "Chances are we'll find the exit, if it connects to some other level or area of this tomb section. If not, I think we're not missing out, either, as it's likely just some kinda hive nest they'd guard ferociously."

When their work is done, Farod retrieves the Lantern and waits for the others to be ready to head to the last exit from the center room.

Finishing handing off the small pieces of rubble, Wulfgar turns to fetch his pack. Turning to Ardran, he nods towards Moranna, "She does good work, right?" As he tucks the crowbar back into the pack and then shoulders it, he asks the Skald, "What was that poem you did anyway?"

Retrieving his polearm from against the wall, He takes one last look at the now covered hole. Turning to Morana. "I think it's fine work indeed." Shrugging, keeping a straight face, "Too bad none of us have a familiar to send in and take a look around."

Turning towards the door, he waits long enough to make sure everyone is ready to go. Exiting back into the greatroom, he turns left heading for the final doorway. Pausing at the doorway, Glaive in hand, he looks around.

Long story There was a pretty funny attempt by some Abadarians to assassinate the Demon Lord Nocticula with something called "The holy Hand Grenade of Abadar". It was a potent bomb that would have exploded with a wroth of a thousand solars, once it ritual detonation words had been said, and the chosen one pulled the trigger and threw the bomb at the Lady in Shadows. The words I referenced where a bit of a joke on the ritual detonation words.
He pauses

The number you shall count to shall be three, and not 2 and not 4, and certainly not 5, and do not count to 1 either, unless though intend to count on until 3. And when thee have counted until 3, which is the third number, starting from one, you pull the sacred pit from the holy hand grenade from Abadar, shout "Reddere Tuo Crediti F*~%o" and throw Lord Abadar's holy hand grenade upon thy foes. He speaks, intoning the timbre of a half celestial preacherman.

Nobody actually knows how strong the bomb was, because Nocticula stole it and replaced it with a Banana while the chosen one was reciting the words. Resulting in the "Chosen one" trying to throw a peeled Banana at Nocticula, about which she was mildly amused. She paid the "Chosen one of Abadar" 15 gold as a price for the "Banana delivery" and sent him back to Axis.
He finishes, as he plugs some spaces in the crevice.

As they were getting ready to leave.

Listening to Adran's story, Wulfgar furrowed his brow. Asking, "So was the explosive an alchemical device or magical?" He puases, "Did Nocticula ever do anything with it?"

To the first question, Yes, and also divine.
Ardran genuinely grins, a fair bit of mirth radiating from him in retelling his ladies antics.

To the second question,in the combat resulting in Deskaris death, she well, shot it with her incredible precision into one of the Swarmlords rearward orifices.
Ardran continues, making a bit a phantomime to to emphasize the point

Her ability to inflict humiliating and debiliating damage with ranged attacks is second to none.
He finishes, in his normal matter of fact voice.

Wulfgar looks over this small alcove. The east wall of this hallway contains stone shelves with some boxes and bags. On the floor are several shiny plates of insectile exoskeleton that glimmer with a faint red glow.

Chuckling at Ardran's phantomime, Wulfgar leaves the safety of the large chamber and enters the hallway to observer the small alcove better. He begins to examine the bags and boxes, then his eyes catch the insectile exoskeletons. Looking down, having a gift for the obvious, he points. "Dead fish-boned bugs." He pauses, looking at the others. "Do you think something killed them or they died of old age?" Shrugging, he continued, "Either way, we should be careful." Leaning his glaive against the wall, he looked at the shelves, not wanting to make the same mistake twice. Asking, as he points at the shelves. "Any of you see anything dangerous?"

Adran seeks to assist wulfgar, but rather epically fails as his mind is sidetracked by remembering some of the incredibly well painted moving magical images of the Lady in Shadows he has seen during his training and indoctrination.

He does have enough semblance of mind to cast detect magic and give the room a once over with it though.

For flavor, Ardrans detect magic look like his eyes turning into blacklight lamps.

Farod is correct in that the ostovites did not glow. This cat sized exoskelton does not resemble an ostovite. Knowledge (Nature) to identify.

Ardran does not detect magic in this area.

Farod's careful examination reveals no traps.

As Farod checks the shelves for anything unseemly Wulfgar nods in agreement, "I don't think the others glowed, maybe this isn't one of those." He looks at the others, "Any ideas what it may have been?"

Once Farod gives him a nod, Wulfgar will start opening the bags and boxes on the shelf, carefully checking each.

Will take 10(14) on checking the shelves. Unless something jumps out and attacks :)

Morana moves forward to cover Wulfgar as he explores the hallway. She whispers "I hope there is a way out of here." as she hefts her longspear to the eastern room.

May I assume the boxes also only held brushes, rags and polish?

Seeing only janitorial supplies, Wulfgar nods to Morana, "As do I." Leaving the supplies where he found them, Wulfgar picks up his glaive and continues down the hall, until he reaches where it appears to open into a room. Pausing at the entry, he keeps a keen eye out looking for a possible way out, and any possible threats.

This wide room has a hallway leading out of the north wall and a set of stairs leading up to the east. An elaborately lifelike image carved into the south wall depicts a mustachioed knight kneeling before a slender woman with feathery wings. The woman holds a rapier above her head with one hand while the other is extended to the knight, who is kissing it. Lettering above the image reads, “Faithfulness Always to the Red Crusader.”

Three fire beetles cling to the western wall illuminating the entire room.

"Time for my bow?", Farod whispers to his companions, setting the lantern on the ground and starting to retrieve his preferred weapon. "Or would you rather risk them not being territorial?"

Looking from the glowing bugs to his friend, Wulfgar shakes his head. "I'd rather not risk anything." Scooting to the left as far as he can he asks, "Should I stab at the nearest one, while you shoot at one of the others?" Turning he looks at Morana and Ardran. "Do one of you want to try and shoot the other? Or wait till they fly this way and attack?"

Nodding as Morana unslings her weapon, Wulfgar ask, "Adran, you want to keep your weapon at the ready in case we miss and one attacks? Or do you want to use your sling as well?" Realizing he would be blocking both of the shooters, he nods to the area outside the hall. "I will step into the room and stab at the first one." He nods towards the bugs, "Farod, you take the one in the middle, Morana take the far one?"
