I straight up yoinked Fern's inventory tracker and made a copy for us. I linked it up top. Let me know if you can't edit it. It should be open for all to do so.
I am working on filling out the stuff you all already have as soon as I post this. You all will need to decide who is holding what and how much money there is in the pool/individually. I did not keep track of that.
I'll want you guys to take charge of updating it, just like Fern does for AoA <3
GM Feyrial |
Okay, I have the loot in there. I don't know who's carrying it, so that's up to you guys. Delete anything on there if it wasn't actually picked up.
The party funds total is from the money picked up in Hallod's lair. I know you all got cash from Tamli for handling the horses, but I don't remember how you divided that up, so I will need you all to handle that part.
GM Feyrial |
Yeah, I went and scrolled through... Rolth gave you 120g.
Fin took 15 gold.
Niss took 5.
Drake took 30.
70 left in the bag. Not sure how much Baradim took?
Tamli promised 40 gold for the trouble of handling the horses, but I'm not sure she ever actually gave the money to you all? We'll say she did at some point between then and now.

And I forget what the story is with this rug. I must have glossed over that somewhere.
Some things regarding the evening prior were decided via PMs when I was too busy to post and things had already moved well into to the morning. We'll tell Fin about it when he's older, lol. You didn't miss anything. <3

Hah.
OK, story time.
So when I was growing up, my stepdad had quite a crude sense of humor. So when he would tell a raunchy joke and any of us kids would ask him about it, he would reply with "I'll tell you when you are 40".
So when I turned 40, I posted on his Facebook feed, "OK, I'm 40 now. Start talking."

My dad has always been gross, but in a fart / burp / poop sense that he was happy to share with us from a young age, lol.

Baradim took 30 - the even split amount. Drake has the rest that Fin and Niss didn't pocket, though it was implied in-game that it would be mostly party funds. I update the personal currency amounts to reflect that. And deducted what I have spent money on - the 1gp for the spellbook. I left the others alone, though I think there have been a few things purchased. Probably not enough to even go past our level 1 starting money though. I haven't accounted for that at all.
So yeah, the 40 gold from the horse/bear quest, and the 50 gold we just got - also from Tamli. I'll put that in the general funds and we can split it up from there.
Though I'm not sure how important this will end up being. There isn't much to use gold on in town, is there?
GM Feyrial |
Well, you all haven't really done much to explore anything that is offered, but Delma is kind of it. She has a normalish General Store with a few interesting things here and there.
The Caravan has some interesting stuff if you guys ask (I've hinted at that before, but the general store seemed to cover what you really needed).
But no, there isn't a ton to really use the money on.

Lol! Sorry! Have something here in a bit...
Just got back from seeing The Black Phone. That's a good movie.

My wife says that you are absolutely not allowed to drop something like that and leave it as a cliffhanger all night. She won't get any sleep.
Finoan |
Well, she did sleep last night. So that is good.
She hasn't read anything from today yet. She usually only binge reads everything in the evening right before bed.
Javell DeLeon |
Me, watching all the PCs freak out
Lol! Man, that's just evil. So dang funny though. ;D
@Fin: *Ahem, ahem. He clears his throat and adjusts his collar, looking somewhat uncomfortable*. Ummm, Fin? Just out of curiosity, she only reads THIS game, right? No reason. Just curious. *Narrows eyes while glancing from side to side.* ;)

Well, y'all know the time. Tomorrow is the first day of school. Posting's going to slow down for me pretty heavily during the first week or two while I re-adjust to the schedule. Since I'm the assistant esports coach now, I'm helping out with tryouts this week, meaning a couple of days this week, I'll be posting later in the evening.
pbp, especially with you guys, is my #1 fun hobby at the moment, so while it'll slow down for a bit, I don't expect to go radio silent at any point. I'll give you guys a heads up if that changes.

Kinda both lol. No wonder she became a villain.
I'm going to bed friends, don't expect more posts from me tonight <3.

I'll definitely be getting a potion at the very least. We may want to talk in Discussion about expenditures and stuff; some nice things are in the caravan's inventory.
Yeah, that should be the next stop after Erda in the barn.
We should all be looking at +1 weapons. Technically I have one, but not for my preferred weapon. From the AoA game, we should all know that the runes can be transferred with a day of work and 3.5gp. And we can probably commission someone in town to do that - Gregor would be my first thought.
One ask is if I can get a rune transferred to handwraps. Technically that isn't a thing, but many of us think that it should be allowed.
GM Feyrial |
Gregor would definitely be the one to ask, you are correct!
I'm fine with handwraps having a rune transferred to them. I checked out the thread you linked and don't see any reason why we couldn't have that happen.
Loot/shops/etc. is probably the hardest part of GMing for me right now, lol. Plaguestone's GM guide has nothing in it for that kind of thing, so I'm winging it.
Let me know if there's something, in particular, you want to look at and I'll see what I can do to make it happen in a way that makes sense in the story -- traveling merchant, that kind of thing. ;)
Most of the loot in this adventure is geared towards Alchemists as well, so I've been trying to vary things a little bit to cater to you all.
Finoan |
And of course there are zero alchemists in the party.
The hardest one to account for would be Drake using thrown weapons. Having 6 fully upgraded weapons is out of the budget for most player budgets in nearly all campaigns. The best scenario for thrown weapon users is Automatic Bonus Progression, but that requires rewriting all of the loot for the published adventure. Something that might work as a bit of a houserule is a variation of the Gunner's Bandolier (which Dario may also be interested in at some point). Make one that allows 4 weapons with the thrown trait (either melee with thrown or ranged thrown). Drake won't have 6 weapons available, but he will have 4. You might also make the ◆activation also work with Quick Draw.

Fern's IRL Conditions right now: Fatigued, Flat-Footed, and Slowed.
I was a lazy person this summer, rofl. Standing/walking all day is killer. Time to check all my games! =D
Finoan |
I had thought about it. We might swing by there with Noala after meeting her back at the Feedmill.
I don't think it will be critically important right now. But I suppose you might know more than we would. ;)
Baradim Walks-The-Earth |
So, we can sell things for half-price basically. It takes a day worth of work to transfer the runes from the kukri to another weapon. I could buy the Longsword but that will use up all of our party gold, my gold, and I'd need to borrow from someone.
The alchemical supplies was 50gp worth (if memory serves me right), so that'd be 25gp. The shadow rune would get us about 27.5gp. Each everburning torch goes for about 7.5gp. The dagger is 0.1 gold. .
The whetstone is super cheap and gives a +1 to damage on the first attack to hit if you use it on your weapon for 15 minutes. So is the hammer and short rope. Candles are even cheaper.
If we sold what was worthwhile, we'd get an additional 60gp. That also leaves us with one everburning torch. Handy to have when you're crawling down a tight tunnel in the dark and don't want to burn yourself :P
What do you all think?
