Orin has had enough of being ignored.

He charges in and drives the pick through the clumsy creature's swollen abdomen; ichor sprays and a thousand lidless eyes stare balefully at him. As it stumbles, slow to recover from the massive blow Orin hammers the point of his weapon into its brain.

The Gogiteth falls onto its back, legs twitching and clacking in its death throes. It had 250 HP. 31 AC. Every bit counted.

All life dances one step from the precipice, one heartbeat from disaster. You open your eyes wide and see doom waiting in the wings, then invite it to step forward. A spectral omen of disaster appears above the target's head— traditionally, this is a downward-pointing sword, but some spellcasters report seeing a hangman's noose or a grinning skull instead. When you Cast this Spell, pick one of the following triggers.

The final elemental comes up at Kohl's feet; he can feel the earth breaking up into jagged shards as it rises from below. He whacks it with his flail; flecks of stone fly away.

Gorm Greathammer rubs his chin, momentarily at a loss for words. “I look forward to hearing what happened. For now, I’m just glad that you were on this mission. I think things would have gone badly for all of us without your efforts. Once you’ve had a chance to recover from this battle, I look forward to hearing your story. Maybe Effie will put it to song, or Shaine will write a paper. Maybe both?” He shrugs.

Plinteff, Eltha (and Sparkles), and Irlah gather round. "We're finally home, safe and sound! We owe it all to you!" Plinteff decides to find some pants. "That is a very good question," Chulyin says with a thoughtful expression. The burn scar on his face with which he arrived is noticeably smaller and lighter despite the aeon stone needing to also heal several bruised bones and muscles. "Sarkoris still burns in many places, but the Society seems to have less interest there currently. Maybe I will join my Magaambyan colleagues there for a while."
