not sure if our esteemed poppet master has met either or both our poppets... or what he's getting himself into...

![]() |

It is certainly going to be interesting, whatever it is.

![]() |

do you have slides we need to fill out while waiting? I'll check with Lilifri as I think she's the one we're waiting for.
"Chomper" reminds me of "chomp chomp" from the PacMan cartoon in the 80's...
Appears from the number of glyphs we have enough to start with 2 HP each...

![]() |

Ah .... haven't done those yet. Will get on to them in the next hour or so.

Now do you realize what you've gotten yourself into? :)
Though I wasn't expecting the clergyman from The Princess Bride to be joining us...

Bun also takes a minor healing potion as his school item.

I'm not sure how this encounter is going to go. I'll post as soon as I can tonight after 9:30 pm (-7 GMT), but if you need to bot my action:
First Action: Stride 30' to the western-most elemental;
Attempt a shove: (1d20-1) against fortitude;
Third action: step back 30'
Crit fail, crawl 5' to north into water
Gotta keep the fire away from the poppets!

Bun Helsing, you forgot the Inspire Courage! More damage!
I wonder if the Professor loses his lisp when panicked, much like somone else would stutter?

![]() |

Bun Helsing, you forgot the Inspire Courage! More damage!
I don't add it separately. My attack mod is +8/+3 normally and damage is +2.

![]() |

So it was a total of fifteen from Bun Bun and Bun .. not 16.

![]() |

The damage I rolled is adjusted for IC.

![]() |

Just a quick note on persistent damage. It only applies at the end of the turn of the person that has it and same damage types do not stack. So Drizzle would only take persistent damage once and at the end of her turn.

![]() |

That's true, but I don't know what will hit until the post is sent.

![]() |

This encounter has me really confused about persistent damage. Beat the dc and the condition stops, fail and you take full damage, crit fail and take double damage. Right?
Except, damage of one kind doesn't stack.
Summarizing Drizzle's fire damage:
1. First attack: one strike, 1 PD Check Succeeded, 0 PD
2. Second attack, three successful strikes, 3, 4, 4 PD, Check Crit failed then failed with Hero Point: So 3 PD? 4PD (since it's higher?)
3. Third attck: one strike, 2 PD, another failed check
So only the first damage or the highest? The subsequent damages following fails are to remind us that the damage exists?

![]() |

3 PD. They don't stack so it's always the one you first gained. Anything after that is irrelevant.

Thank you for a succinct and enlightening explanation.

Vestments gives a +1 or is it like a hero point?

![]() |

Oh yes. Hero Points for Miss Sorbet, Drizzle, and the Professor.

![]() |

Thanks! When the healing moratorium has passed, DD would like to spend 10 minutes with heal wounds, being slightly less trained than the Professor, and having a healing kit.

![]() |

So this is the session where I get to learn everything I need to know about persistent damage? My CRB is begining to look used.

![]() |

CRB? I only use the CRB if either Archives of Nethys is down or I've lost my Internet connection...

Call me old fashioned. I like books.

So do I -- but they take up way too much room... :)

Re:
"Are you abtholutely thertain that you don't need a thpoon and thome thtring? I thought they were thtandard in thith thort of thituation."
Professor, I laughed so hard it brought tears to my eyes!
Master Helsing, be careful of what you put upon pedestals, if not secured, they fall off during earthquakes.

so now I wonder if Drizzle's human wants to create a Rabbit poppet and join in the lithping... ;)

I could write a macro to replace the s, but I fear my poppet would otherwise be boring compared to you and Prof. Bun Bun

![]() |

I'm thinking of an automaton but it could be interesting to have a tiny unicorn poppet called Twilight Sparkle who does magic. :)

The only way to recover lost maximum hit points is overnight rest?
If you mean the drained condition -- any healing will do

These beings seem rather surprised to be attacked by tiny animated plushies but they soon rally.
Purple draws a dagger and attacks Miss Sorbet with it.
dagger: 1d20 + 9 - 0 ⇒ (2) + 9 - 0 = 11 piercing: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
dagger: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 9 - 4 = 24 piercing: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3The other two move forward and throw hatchets at Drizzle
hatchet: 1d20 + 8 - 0 ⇒ (19) + 8 - 0 = 27 slashing: 1d5 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 blue
hatchet: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 8 - 2 = 8 slashing: 1d5 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 green
Re-reading the post to make sure it was OK to reinstate max hp. I believe the action from blue was a crit, but I didn't apply double. AC=17

If you received any healing after the bug fight you should have gotten rid of the drained condition...

![]() |

getting the giggles after reading Long Nose's statement, Green asking "what the heck are you saying?!", then PBB repeating with a lisp... :)

This is from the current encounter, just before Bun lights his wayfinder. I'll apply the hit anyway, becuase it looks like a crit to me. I'm not sure, but I think the GM's dice only crit on Drizzle in this adventure. :)

![]() |

Not so -- Miss Sorbet just ate a crit to the face...

DC 14 Performance check to Earn Income: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
It seemed their story about undead hoard chasing the victims in a certain town did not sit well with the children listening to them.
