Before the party gets shooed out of the office, the witch asks, "What are the rules for the use of lethal force? The captain didn't mention it in the briefing."
Once out on the floor, Ilarien murmurs to the others, "The captain isn't above harming the Ungrounded's reputation if it will make us look bad."
The boss looks at Ilarien and shrugs. "Just don't kill anybody and find Inysha. You got the instructions, right?!"
| GM Nowruz |
Ash doesn't ask a question before leaving. He makes a statement instead.
"You will get robbed. You hire extra security, but do not introduce is to your floor security manager, or anyone relevant in your security staff. Instead, you give us -THIS- so that they know who we are. Or at least that is what we are supposed to think.
He dons the sash.
"We don't k ow your security protocol. We don't know if we can catch and subdue this person, who to talk to when-" he pauses to correct himself IF we catch them doing something they shouldn't be doing. Have a good night.
When the woman described enters the room, he stands near the door, but keeps an eye out on her.

Not sure where she sat down on the map, so in that room, near the door towards the exit.
"Look, everybody knows that you were coming and that you were guided here shows that, right? But for Cestranell we all look alike. Without the sash you might just accidentally die ..." he says and shrugs.

The woman is a female noble shaitan as it seems and fits the description that was given to you of Inysha. She is large and a very intriguing person!

As the Pathfinders scatter throughout the facility, Shenendril takes up a relatively unobtrusive spot in the main dining hall but close to the adjacent chamber.
She scans the area for any trouble but is ready to converge on their target's location, if necessary.
She tries not to stare at the dragon too often or for too long.

You notice many very finely clothed people here which are mostly Oreads.
Among them is a woman wearing an ornate courtier’s outfit with long sleeves and several voluminous skirts. She is about to stride confidently into the members’ lounge ... Shenendril, Kridash and Zandu think that she is a suspicious patron and that she is wearing a disguise.
Shenendril gets the feeling that the woman begins scouting the area for people who seem easy to con.

Brilliant. They might as well have hung out a "Rob me!" sign on the door.
The witch messages Shenendril. "Come with me. I need you to get a read on someone. Don't worry...I'll do the talking."
Once Shenendril joins her, Ilarien leads the way to the noble shaitan and bows in greeting. "Excuse me, honored one. A situation has arisen that we'll need your assistance resolving. Would you mind coming this way? It shouldn't take but a moment."
Her intent is to escort the woman to the boss's office, as she suspects that the party was deliberately given the wrong sketch.

"We're very sorry to disturb your evening, Most Noble One," Shenendril says and just happens to adjust her security sash, apparently to put it in a more comfortable place. "But it seems that there has been some sort of confusion. I'm certain if you come with us we can get it worked out in just a few minutes and then you can get back to your evening. It would be a great favor to us."

Shenendril believes that this is a woman of power and rank! But she is here for a night of drinks and modest-stakes gambling you believe. And she is truly annoyed by you but not hostile after what you said but she is definitely not going to comply with your demand.
"Then respect my wishes and leave," she interrupts, cutting off the Sylph mid-sentence. "Else I might think you do mean to disrespect me - and I do not suffer disrespect lightly."
She taps a sheathed blade at her hip meaningfully and stares at Shenendril with hard eyes. "Now."
Meanwhile, the others see that woman in disguise is now touching the man that she is with gingerly.
Shenendril al-Ranginori
|
"My humblest apologies Madame. It is clear that we were mistaken," Shenendril says. "We leave you to your night and hope that this did not disrupt it too much."
She gestures for Ilarien to follow her and hurries away.
"I'm almost certain that's not the right person," she says. "Or it is and there's actually no trouble coming because she's not here to make it."
Shenendril al-Ranginori
|
Having lost all patience after her embarrassing encounter, Shenendril stalks right up to the disguised woman and the man she's with.
"Greetings honored guests. We hope that you're doing well this evening and enjoying our establishment's hospitality. As you can see, I'm part of the security detail tonight and I just want you both to know that I'll be keeping a close eye out for any trouble," she says, not so subtly looking at the woman.
Kridash Magath
|
Ash steps forward to Shenendril and the two guests. He puts on a friendly face. "Good day. I see we have some high rollers here." he smiles at the two, and looks at the platinum. "Can I suggest you put them down as house credit? There is a complimentary offer of free drinks if you do so. It will only take two minutes to arrange."
He extends one of his hands towards the manager's door.

Shenendril narrows her eyes. "I'm afraid we can't do that, Ma'am. If you'll come with us we can get all this sorted out but I'm afraid we are going to have to insist."
She turns to the man. "Sorry for all the fuss and inconvenience, Sir. Please enjoy the rest of your night."

Kridash Magath

Ash steps into her path with a stern gaze. "Madam, I already asked you twice to follow us. I really hate repeating myself. Now, if you please could follow my colleague here."
Camina G
|
Camina is not very socially adept, and often misunderstands the behavior of other humanoids, so she's deliberately hanging back.
| GM Nowruz |
You have not used anything you know. She is disguised and she could be Inysha and she is a cheater. You’re too polite for her. :-) And no appropriate skill checks made so far.
Around you patrons notice the heated conversation.
Within a minute, pieces of paper start circling around the room, each of which says:
The PCs have several options for convincing Inysha not to return to the casino. Simplest solution: They can attempt to persuade her with a DC 22 Diplomacy check and an argument for why returning to this casino is a poor decision.

Shenendril al-Ranginori

Shenendril takes one of the pieces of paper, reads it then scowls at the crowd before turning back to the woman.
"Stop or I'll shoot!" Shenendril declares, pulling out her bow and knocking an arrow.

| GM Nowruz |
The woman evades the grapple attempt.
“This is outrageous!!“ she says.
You see that the whole crowd is in turmoil now!
Some casino patrons cheer and others curse as casino employees begin dealing payments to those who bet in favor of a fight.
The woman, however, would much rather flee if she can it seems.
Zandu is up!!
Zandu Miklos
|
Zandu quietly steps toward the fleeing woman, and pulls out a small bag as he does so. He lifts the bag up, prepared to throw it.
5-ft-step to close the distance to her, move action to pull out a Tanglefoot Bag
"Please don't make things worse for yourself than they already are. Would be a shame to make a mess."
Intimidate to get her to stop: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (15) - 2 = 13

Zandu lets the bag fly, trying to hit the fleeing woman and hold her in place.

The Oread woman does not really care for Zandu's words so he throws his tanglefoot bag and really is able to hit her!

"Help me please!!" and you really see that the people at the tables are now pushing you around.
All squares that are adjacent to a table are difficult terrain for you!

She is full of glue from the bag but she still starts to tumble to the next room!
She double moves with half speed so only 6 squares and she beats all CMDs except of Camina's CMD so AoO for him.
YOU ARE ALL UP!
Shenendril al-Ranginori

As the crowd turns against them, Shenendril decides shooting the woman in the back is not a good idea. She sighs then reaches through her connection with Belthelgior to draw something from another plane of existence to help her.
Using my Servitor ability, which works as Summon Monster I but is a Standard action and the summoned creature remains for 1 minute.
Ryskovich

Ugh…so much for not causing a ruckus he laments. Ryskovich then moves forward to get into a position to prevent an easy escape.

The summoned dog is lucky because the entangled woman is less dexterous and falls to the ground when the dog pulls.
She is prone.

Ryskovich will turn the his falcata to the side at attempt to knock her unconscious instead of actually hurting her. He then tried to do the same with his buckler.

Ash moves closer to the stunned woman, ponders his next move for a while, and lifts her up to get a good grip on her hands.
"Right. Take her to the office for a private talk?" he looks at the rest of the security.
