Hello everyone.
A wise man once singed "You Get What You Give", so I thought (with some higher help) that maybe if I want to play more PF1E PbP I should run more PF1E PbP. So here I am, trying my hand with The Silverhex Chronicles, just to wet my toes in the ocean.
This would be my very first time GMing a PbP game. I've tried at least once before, but some health issues stopped me before even starting the game. Now I feel better, and I'm determined to start this adventure and finish it.
This will be a "first come, first served" kind of recruitment. The Quest is aimed toward players new to Organized Play, but I doubt there will be many newbies here wanting to play 1st Edition games. Anyway everyone is well accepted at the table, and if you're an experienced player please keep in mind that this is my first attempt at this kind of thing, so be gentle and don't hurt me too much. Also any advice would be very welcome.
The only thing I ask to my future players is this: if you want to play at my table you have to run a PbP game yourself using PF1E rules. You can run another PFS Quest (nice), a PFS Scenario (good), a Module (awesome), or even an AP (wonderful). You can run it while playing this Quest, or wait until it's finished. I'm asking this to get some more life in the PF1E PbP scene, which is kind of diminished since the release of the new Edition.
So, if you agree with my humble request, welcome on board. I will start the game in a week/as soon as there are six other players (whichever comes first) and I've finished prepping everything.

If you ever have problem posting for some reason for a certain amount of time please let everyone at the table know with as much forewarning as possible.
For anything feel free to send me a private message. Questions, advices, complaints, anything, don't hesitate and just tell me.
I expect a mature and fun environment of cooperation between everyone at the table. Troublemakers will receive a private warning, followed by a public warning, and then will get kicked from the group.

Hi GM Diaz.
This sounds interesting, but I've never created a PFS character nor played in a PFS Game. I do have Hero Lab classic/online so I have all the tools.
Do I just create any character I would like to play? Then post the info like others?
Do I need to see if my character "fits" with the party or again, just create a character I would like to play?
Those two guides you posted links to... I'll read them tonight at home, but your game sounds interesting.

Generally PFS characters are considered to be transferable smoothly between games (sort of the selling point of PFS), so all you need is a legal PFS character.
In herolab online, when creating a new character there is a checkbox labelled "Pathfinder Society Organized Play Character", which will help you satisfy the constraints (e.g., 150gp starting funds vs. by class).

Yes, you'll have to create a character following the guidelines on the Pathfinder Society Roleplaying Guild Guide, then post the info I request on a post in this thread.

That's your choice. I would go with something I would like to play and that maybe does not step on the other character's toes, but since you don't know yet what the others are going to bring to the table, just create something you like and go with that.
Also thank you @Stavarg Titanshade for answering those questions.

I suppose there are common sense "fit" things, like if six characters all show up with Wizards, they look funny at each other as if they wore the same dress to a party. Many folks often have multiple characters available (not always) so that stuff can be worked out.
Cool thanks for the advice. I've played PF1e for the last few years with an in-person group, but never done PFS.
@GM Diaz - Thanks for answers.
Now I feel comfortable creating any kind of PFS character for any of the PFS games here. Before it seemed like a daunting process.

You can roll crafting or a profession check and you get extra gold at the end of the scenario based on the day-job chart in the PFS guide. There's a copy of the day job table on this cheatsheet.

Still looking for players?
One spots left iirc, and I think that @grimdog73 is going to post his entry soon. Remember, "first come, first served", so the quickest to post the entry is the one who get to play.
thinking on bringing in a gunslinger...will wait and see what everyone else is bringing and fill a hole if needed....
I think the table has already a kineticist, a cleric, and a rogue. @mrkrrtft hasn't yet created his character, so not sure about what he's going to play, and @AshenQuill hasn't put any class in his statblock.

To expand on this, is there any notion that we want this group to continue in something like a GM rotation, or just that you want to see everybody here offer something at some point? (or maybe a mixture of both?)

I just want you all to give as much as you receive: just run a legal PFS game here on the boards, be it a Quest, a Scenario, a Module, or an entire Adventure Path, that's up to you.
I didn't thought about GM rotation, but it's an idea I don't want to discard right now. We can talk more about this once the group is fully formed.

i'm an idiot..i just saw that a requirement is to run a scenario...
Don't get scared by that requirement! If you're a new GM or don't have much time, you can always run a quick Quest like Ambush in Absalom, which takes less than a week to be completed in PbP form.
I hope this won't make you back down from the table, that would be a real shame.
