I had seen the miss, but figured it wasn’t worth the update yet since it didn’t change the state of any NPC.
One of these days I will put together a cheat sheet for PF1/SFS/PF2 that collects all these weird differences to help me keep track as I switch systems. Just making it would likely teach me many of the differences. Things like drawing a weapon in PF2 provokes, figuring movement around a hard corner, cover, etc. Cognitive dissonance is not my friend, but it seems to be my companion.

Yeah I remembered they still worked in PF2 and honestly haven't run into it enough in SF to have it ingrained into my mind if it for sure didn't work in this version.

Someone want to Bot Persephone?
Maybe my icicles will get one more attack in…

Memory of Water Combat and exploration
The Singing Pillars Exploration and puzzle
Rimerunning Escape and survival
The Emissary Negotiation
Frozen Refractions Combat and puzzle
Delve:
Halls of Eternity Combat and mysticism
Delve mission 5??
I am up for some more combat, I suggest Frozen Refractions

GM Bret |

Frozen Refractions is closed. Please chose one of the following:
Exploration:
#3 Rimerunning Escape and survival
#4 The Emissary Negotiation
Delve:
#1 Road's End Combat and investigation
#2 Halls of Eternity Combat and mysticism
#5 A Fading Trail Exploration

I'm down to continue down the hall and do delve #1 if we want to do more combat. We're already here, it seems a good plan to continue.

Can we get a link to the success tracking in the campaign header?

GM Bret |

Please choose your next delve mission. They are all open now, so anything except Delve 1 (the one you just completed) will work.

![]() |

I mean I'm fine with either. As a soldier I'd probably do better at "All that Remains" but if people wanted a little break from combat missions I'm good with "The Stacks" as well.

Apologies for not posting pre-combat. Mondays are our local game-days, so the combination of catching up on weekend events/emails plus prepping to GM plus needing to do stuff after running game = me often not getting to post much/at-all on Mondays.

Sorry, I had forgotten that Monday was your local game day.

NO worries - that's my own thing to deal with. Feel free to keep things moving without me. I'll just have to...grin a bear it :P

I mean, you could, but that would be embearassing.
A higher koality and less polar-izing course of action would be to bear down.
...I do not regret taking expert proficiency in ursinine puns :P

Quick Question GM, maybe I missed something.
How does this hit Blue:
"Alistair snaps out at Blue, taking advantage of Teddington's position.
Full Attack on Blue EAC, flanked: 1d20 + 8 + 2 - 3 ⇒ (9) + 8 + 2 - 3 = 16"
But not this:
"Teddington dodges the Icicles trying to stick to his fur and then Full Attacks Blue out of Vengeance.
Called, Ghost Killer Red Star Plasma Doshko vs Blue EAC: 1d20 + 13 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 13 - 4 = 16"
Both end up with 16 vs Blue EAC right?
Just curious, don't mean to Backseat or anything so sorry if it appears that way!

Too many systems.
I saw the flanked and reduced the AC (like you do in Pathfinder 2e), not noticing that Alistair had included a +2 for flanking in the attack.
You did not have Blue flanked, so I didn’t adjust for it.
My mistake, both should have missed. Blue has an EAC of 17.
I will leave the damage on Blue rather than retcon. Even when the plot is heavy on time travel, I don’t like to have to retcon stuff.

GM Bret |

Would someone like to bot Persephone? With PaizoCon GM signups going live tomorrow, I imagine both she and Dr. Dov are rather busy…

![]() |

Once we are done investigating this area, I nominate the Stack for our next delve.

![]() |

I was going to say the same, actually. Stacks would be a good change of pace.

![]() |

Popping in to say Thank you to Bret - today and tomorrow are quite insane for both me and Dr. Dov, but we should be back around Sunday.

![]() |

Also stopping in to roll quickly before bed and say thank you for understanding!

GM Bret |

If someone would please Bot Persephone.
Also in case any of the rest of you want to take advantage of it, both Coalescent Chronology and Explore and Report would be useful in the current situation.
Used by: None yet.
Used by: Alistair

Oh sugar, can I retroactive the Shirt Reroll into a Explore and Report?
It would be 4 less but I still think a success.
Totally fine if not, my bad for missing that!

It is always a problem remembering these bonuses. Best way I’ve found only works in live play — give people a slip of paper for each one and they hand them in as they are used. Unfortunately that doesn’t really work in PbP.
Yes, I will allow you to have used Explore and Report for that.

![]() |

Yeah it's always complicated!
Thanks mate! I really appreciate it!

GM Bret |

Sorry this cypher gate is being such a pain for your group. I know it was really painful for our group when I played it at the same tier. We only had two people trained in mysticism, and one of them was my Mechanic with a single rank in it — total bonus +3. The other was a mystic.
One of you who has some time look at the skills and figure out the combinations, there is a way for your group to fill all four roles and have two people on Mysticism.

Best way is Teddington and Mel on Engineering, Persephone on Culture, Dov on Computers, and Patrick and Alistair on Mysticism.

GM Bret |

So at this point the only penalties you should have are from this encounter. You have had an overnight rest, so you are at full resolve and regained any daily resources such as spells.
We have dropped straight into combat, so if Persephone’s turn comes up and she hasn’t had time to come in I will need someone to Bot her activities from above and her turn. If we get lucky, she will come in before that and choose her own skill challenge.

GM Bret |

Why does Persephone use Bluff for the Trick Attack?
As a Thief, she can use Sleight of Hand. Since she has Specialization Skill Mastery and Skill Focus on that skill, she can even Take 10 on the check. That means her trick works if the creature is CR9 or less.

Because of other choices on this character (marked for death) - I CAN'T take 10. Which is why I use the bluff all the time.
Also, I finally remembered how to build in the stuff for a news feed to discord. Half my posting delays have been checking right after someone else already botted me because of the times I've been checking in. Hopefully this helps...

![]() |

Yea - it isn't a common choice, since it also eats up trick attack stuff - which in this I've felt like we needed more.

GM Bret |

Just in case someone saw my original post, I needed to change it.
Taking a 10-minute break to rest and recover Stamina Points is not possible during Part 3.

![]() |

Because this is a wave combat, would I still be fully attuned? Or do I reset?

GM Bret |

You only had one round between combats.
I’m going to say you are able to keep attunement between waves.
