Hey everyone! Sorry for not starting sooner. Was out camping this weekend and got back a whole lot later than I had planned. Will push out a quick update. Feel free to introduce your character. In the morning, I'll add a tactical map/slides. When I do, please add your token.

Nice to be playing with so many GMs! Does that mean everyone starts with 2 hero points?

Had we known that, those of us who missed our actuator checks above, might have given it another go. :)

Actually, if it's important to the scenario (or any rewards?), maybe worth offering a redo?

I forgot about glyphs, but did we fail any of them?

We're playing high tier just fyi, so the DC is 20 for all the checks.

Dran'Thul: one success, one fail on south actuator
Mandower: two fail on east actuator
Apollo: one success, one crit success on north actuator
Griss: one success, one crit fail on south actuator

Basically, you're just aiming to clear the all the actuators before the timer goes off. Theres one that none of you tried - you'd have to clear that one as well.

You're welcome to use your Hero Points. Since this is a quest, there's only one more encounter after this.

Interesting challenge:
West Actuator: Azlant Lore or Engineering Lore? That's it? Unless the party has Bardic Lore or a Loremaster, I'll bet most groups don't even try that one.

Seems the challenge is much easier for a party of 6 who have 2 more folks attempting the same number of checks.

Anyway, if it makes a difference to solve 2 actuators instead of 1, Griss might wanna use a hero point to remove the crit failure. With 2 ppl working on that one (each having 1 success), the South would be a success without the crit-fail.

With more people, you need more checks actually. If we had six people, each actuator would need three successes instead of two.

Griss worked on the east actuator, not the south one (my mistake!).

North: two successes -> activated
South: one success
East: zero successes
West: zero successes

Let me know if you want to use your Hero Points here. Not sure if you guys read it, but after the countdown you guys did manage to activate all the actuators (basically you were trying to activate them before the countdown ended). When the countdown ended, you guys could attempt the checks as many times, so it's assumed you can eventually get the door open.

And now the door is opened simply with a bit fog?

The problem being is that none of us have the skills for the south.

I will spend the hero point though.

GM Mauve -- Everything okay? It's been several days since you've posted.

Typically weekends are very busy for me. I was traveling on Sunday to visit family anyway. Was planning on posting yesterday, but my family wore me out! Sorry about that. Will definitely keep things updated.

Regarding Apollo's hp, you have him at 40/60. He took 6 from the first electrical burst, and 9 from the piercing/electrical, so he should be at 45/60 hp, correct?

Yes - I was in the middle of editing some other games, then tried to come back and edit this one, but was past the edit time limit unfortunately.

And sorry again. My mom was hospitalized yesterday. Been running around all day yesterday and today, visiting the hospital and preparing her house for when she is discharged.

Will likely update in the morning (and will make sure to have the right HP for everyone).

Hope all is well with your mom, GM Mauve. Take all the time you need. If possible, can you maybe just give us a quick post letting us know if you need a few more days, a week, etc.?

I'm planning on playing this character in a couple weeks, so just hoping to finish this quest before then.

Normally someone else takes it over if he is gone long enough, like a VO captain, but I'll give him a few more days. Quests don't last that long anyway and I'm confident it will end on time.

My mom was in a serious accident. She spent several days in the hospital. During that time, I had nearly zero time to post any updates as I was spending time with family.

And to top it all off, the moment I got home, I was hit with Covid fairly badly. Had zero energy to post.

But ... I was checking my official Paizo account, and it doesn't look like the game has been reported. Do you plan to do that?

I reported the game through Outpost, which may take a while for the organizers to report to Paizo.
