7. I used one for lower my own drained. We need 2 for saving Drangle, 1 for Dolok. But we need also 1 or 2 for reducing the spirit power... and maybe 1 for giving us good damage for one minute.

but this is true that this is a bargain for drained because it will remove 3 and not 2. Do we need to use it now?

Fen nods at the others in agreement, she can see just how badly drained they are and knows Dolok's aid would be most useful.

I agree, 1 point to help 3 people with drained is a bargain, and it would give Fen a focus point back that she otherwise can't get. Don't forget that we need to save 1 to allow Dolok to return

A staircase leads from each ear of the Colossus onto its shoulders. From there, you can walk up its arms to an arched doorway at each wrist, leading into the offering bowl. Here, the winds blow away from the bowl making it quite challenging to not get blown off.

Rex notices more of the magical caltrops spread across the arms surface. While you might be able to easily walk around them you do stand the danger of the high winds blowing you into the caltrops. Thievery to disable or you can try to walk past them. If you try to walk past I will need an Athletics check.

Omble sweeps the caltrops well off of the walkway as the group makes their way into the bowl. Stone doors open into an immense red stone bowl open to the sky above. The bowl slopes gradually up, rising ten feet from its center to the rim, which rises a further five feet into the sky. A five-foot-tall circular dais rests atop the center of the bowl.

The offering bowl features a low dais where ancient cyclopes once performed ceremonies. The air above the dais dances with a mix of raining fire, abyssal energies, and the beacon conjured by Dolok's ritual.

A human in worn adventuring gear stands in rapture atop the dais. You recognize this human as Venture-Captain Drandle Dreng, the true identity of the Decemvirate member known as Sapphire. A gaunt, shadowy figure looms over Drandle’s form. This is the Disciple of Urxehl, the spirit of a cyclopean demoniac from Min-Khadaim’s ancient past that has long forgotten its own name. The Disciple and its corporeal puppet both turn to face you when you arrive. "You dare to stop Urxehl’s arrival on Golarion?" Drandle says as the Disciple rants in Cyclops, changing between mourning the loss of Min‑Khadaim’s greatness and bragging about how it has finished its plan to summon its demonic patron to Golarion and engulf the region in flames.

Urxehl’s firestorm surges stronger than ever before as balls of fire rain down from overhead.

You watch as the ghost charge and missiles finally sever the ethereal connections tethering the spirit to Drandle’s body, sending the spirit flying to the periphery of the bowl. As this happens, reinforcements in the form of Nelket, Eando, and a host of about a dozen Pathfinders rush toward the bowl from the two arms of the Colossus.

With the spirit now severed from its connection to Drandle Dreng, Nelket and Eando work together to banish the spirit, driving it back into the firestorm where it appears to be torn apart. There’s a brief moment of victory and reprieve for the assembled masses.

Dolok's wispy form hovers nearby until you spend the last bit of magic to restore him to his physical form. Drandle Dreng is alive but worse for wear and not able to answer any questions on what happened.

As the dust settles on the site, Eando begins thanking the group for your actions.....

Though suddenly each of you experience a vision of the spirit reforming in a firestorm. In the vision, a barrage of lightning bolts strikes the ground of Min-Khadaim and the skeletal body of an immense dragon rises from the ground. Some of you (who played 2-18 with this char) would recognize this draconic skeleton looking similar to Jadirahx. This flame-wreathed skeleton quickly rises into the air, collects the spirit, and flies off into the darkening clouds, towards the eye of the storm further into the Finadar Forest. At ritual anchors across the forest, rifts in reality tear open and expand, exposing the blasted landscapes of the Abyss. The largest of these rifts hovers over a ritual circle at the center of the storm. A rust-red claw rips the portal wider, and a hulking, troll-like creature wreathed in an aura of power steps through the rift. The figure raises its hands to the sky, and flames erupt from all directions, burning the forest to ash.

Dolok turns to the group and explains what you saw was neither the present nor immutable future--rather than a reflection of the spirit's plans and intentions as a bit of an after effect of the ritual. "It will take some time for the spirit to reform, enough time for the Society to prepare," Dolok continues. "Next we must track down and disrupt the ritual anchors...And I am in need of some rest myself" he says with a subtle smile.

Eando shakes his head and in a tone sounding both disappointed and unsurprised he says, "I figured we wouldn't be able to destroy the spirit that easily."

Eando orders some pathfinders to carry Drandle down the Colossus. Drandle continues to be fairly unresponsive both in movement and voice. The entire group of pathfinders return to the base camp of near the ruins of Min-Khadaim. We couldn't have accomplished anything today without your help, and we will need our most experienced agents if we're going to head into the eye of that storm..."

Will have chronicles out soon. This is the end of Part 2. Will begin Part 3 on Monday.

Fen whoops when the spirit falls and sheathes her katana. She rushes to Drandle's side, and offers to take him down the Colossus herself.

"It wasn't your fault" she whispers to him as they move, and the soothing words of her ancestors echo the same through his mind.

The Pathfinder Society’s base camp just outside the ruined cyclops city of Min-Khadaim is in a state of frantic preparation. Strong winds blow dust, small debris, and the occasional ember throughout the camp. Society field agents strap on armor and weapons, set up stations for triage, and secure tents and supplies. Eando Kline, leader of the Vigilant Seal faction, has recalled all the agents in the region to defend the camp and prepare for battle. Meanwhile, Eliza Petulengro of the Decemvirate has arrived to assist with the situation and take charge. Eliza requests that you meet with her immediately.

The canvas of Eando Kline’s pavilion tent ripples and flaps in the wind. A group of senior Pathfinders stand to one side, straightening their gear. On the other side stand Eando Kline, Eliza Petulengro, and Godcaller Nelket. As the last few agents walk in and secure the tent flaps, Eliza steps forward to address everyone.

“Welcome, agents. Let me be frank: the situation is grave. A demoniac cyclops spirit has manifested, free from the shackles of its former conjoined existence. It raised the remains of one of the forest’s stewards, an ancestor to the dragon Jadirahx who recently aided us. This animated abomination flew the demoniac spirit to the center of the new storm that rages all around us.”

Eliza squares her shoulders. “Several hidden ritual sites in the Finadar Forest, each dedicated to the demon lord of storms and disaster, Urxehl, have begun to stir. Thanks to the efforts of several Pathfinder agents, the number of ritual sites wasn’t enough to completely plunge the forest into the Abyss.” Eliza’s hands ball into fists. “If this ritual is left unchecked, Urxehl himself may soon walk Golarion. We believe the eye of the firestorm will be his point of entry, and the nameless demoniac spirit and their newfound draconic ally patrol the area. The heat of the firestorm makes it all but impossible to breach."

“Eando, Nelket, and I have devised a plan that should stop this catastrophe. First, you must brave the fringes of the storm and disrupt the ritual sites. This will weaken the ritual and diminish the storm enough to make a journey to its center possible."

“To begin, Eando and I will divide you into teams and brief you on the ritual sites.”

Eliza and Eando start dividing the Pathfinder agents present into small groups. Eando takes you aside for your briefing.

“It’s good to see you all again! You’re some of our most experienced agents, and we’re going to need your knowledge and skills to get through this. No pressure.” Eando wryly laughs to lighten the mood. “To maximize your effectiveness and cover as much ground as possible, you will each take command of a group of Pathfinders and lead them to the various active ritual sites. We need your expertise at each of these sites, so sending you all to the same place would be an inefficient way of utilizing your skills. With each of you guiding a team, we can strike most effectively. We’ve assessed the sites from a distance and hope to pair each team with a site that suits your individual expertise.”

Eando’s brow furrows, “Under normal circumstances, I would question asking agents to perform such a dangerous mission, but these aren’t normal circumstances. The agents you see around you now are all that stands in the way of a terrible tragedy. The ritual has evolved unexpectedly, cutting off our communications and access to the world beyond this forest, and time is running out. Good luck, agents. May Desna, and all the other gods, smile on us all.”

You have time for last minute purchases and questions. You each begin play with 1 Hero Point unless you also have a Campaign Coin and or Glyphs to pass out at this time.

One GM glyph to pass out.

Bardok nods. "Back to bossing around grad students, eh? Fits my skillset, I suppose. I'm a leading scholar on Thassilonian rune magic; probably of little use here, but any sites that fit that bill are good by me."

School item is scroll of breath of life unless the group needs something else before we set out.

With Omble leveling up it does indeed look as if we will be in the high tier. So Zen would get a bump up at level 7. If anyone has mentor boons you can apply 2 of them as well as the information below

Increase every DC the PC has by 1.
Increase the attack modifiers, attack damage, spell damage, saving throw modifiers, skill modifiers, Perception modifiers, and AC of the PC by 1.
Increase the Hit Point totals of the PC by 10 or by 10%, whichever is higher.

Omble with his loyal librarian on his side listen to Eliza closely.

ISH... I am not the best leader. I hope everything will be okay. he thinks.

"Eando, it may be not a God, but last night an old crone visit me. I saw her in a mission in Irrisen. Turn out it was Baba yaga! She was investigating what was happening. She could not intervene directly for some reason but she... pressured me to be a sort of convoy for her power. This situation was so dire that I have accepted. Luckly, she said i could quit at anytime without consequence.

But concerning the mission, you said that we are cut off from the outside world?"

Eando explains. “Magical communications and teleportation effects aren’t working. The Grand Lodge will eventually realize something’s amiss when they don’t receive an update on the situation from Eliza, but by the time reinforcements reach us, from the Society or elsewhere on Golarion, it would be too late.”

GM Screen:
Omble Defontaine's Religion (E): 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (11) + 15 = 26

Bardok Marsh's Religion (T): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16
Zhao Fen's Religion (T): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

Omble and Eithrim know that Urxehl is the demon lord of storms and natural disasters. He is known as the father of trolls, although some cyclopes also worshipped him near the end of the Koloran empire.

You all understand that Urxehl’s faithful often strive to conjure cursed storms, with a rain of fire considered the most sacred manifestation of their lord’s will.

As the group finishes making preparations, Eando goes to a nearby table and recovers the dossiers which were being held down by a large rock. As he passes them out to the group, he says "We've already sent out some teams but here are some of the remaining ritual sites. Talk amongst yourselves to coordinate and then gather your teams together and set out. You'll find that each ritual site could benefit from different skills, but don't forget you can also rely on the pathfinders in your teams."

The first 11 slides will give an overview and a more detailed description for each of the ten available sites. You will each be in charge of a team of 3 other Pathfinders. Each site will have a skill associated with it that you can attempt. Otherwise every site can use Diplomacy or Deception to get the team of Pathfinders to try and disrupt the ritual. Keep in mind that only 1 team can be at any location at a time so you will need to split up.

I will start with nature.

"With two elves in our group and a gnome, we are sure to pass those vines! says Omble with confidence.

The two elves look to each other. The white-skinned elf, Coptidel, approaches Omble.

"Mr. Defontaine, I suppose this is an acceptable error since I lived in an elven tribe in a great north and my name is based on a plant. But I know nothing about nature and the druidic tradition. "he says.

"Same, I only which herbs is useful for cultivation."adds the elf monk.

"And I am only interested in things that can be cooked in nature! Mr. Omble Defontaine.[ooc]This is the French name of a type of trout."[/B] finishes Ino.

Omble sighs. "Just... follow my instructions and everything will be okay."
