add your level as a proficiency bonus even if untrained

So +10 bonus for Rex it looks like.

Has Omble encountered these creatures before? How does he know what their powers are?
Also I cast invisibility on Omble, but if you are stuck on the wall and can't reach the monsters during the duration I'd rather use those actions dropping a hypnotic pattern on them to buy us some time instead. Can you reliably reach them in time?

The disciple was already described as being incorporeal.
I wasn't worried about spending the aspiration now. I've never seen an encounter last a whole minute.
Just a reminder (possibly lost to the old thread). I make 4 greater darkvision elixirs each day which last 24 hours. Rex takes 1 but had 3 others to give out. Hopefully someone took them if they did not already see in the dark.

I was assuming it was the 4th level version, that's why I cast dispel at 3rd. To be fair I don't think Fen would have any way to tell which it was, presumably she just noticed that we stopped hearing them and assumed the worst

The disciple groans in annoyance as everything around Drandle suddenly goes absolutely silent and extremely dark. Silence and Darkness spell centered on Drandle. The Disciple reaches out as Drandle grows just as large as the demoniac.
It looks like the disciple was the one casting all those spells.

Drandle survived thank to you using your aspiration points.
Had you used no points Drandle and the Disciple would have worked separately with 3 actions each and would have been quickened. Their HPs would have been combined into one mass pool with once it reaches 0 the Drandle died.
Had you spent 1 point at the beginning of each turn the Disciple would have siphoned 40 HP fro Drandle to heal itself over and over again.
Spending 2 points as you did made Drandle act as a minion to where the Disciple had to spend an action to only give Drandle 2 actions.
The Disciple had weakness 10 to good damage so that extra 1 of good damage was actually an extra 11.
So spending 5 points there makes that fight a lot easier and saves Drandles life.
