Xusius

Xusius moves so as to get into a position where he will have a clear line of sight for some ranged spells (hopefully).
GM Zin
Mordana grants Arbarath a small bit of fortune for her coming attack.
Xusius moves into a better position to target the remaining kobolds.
Arbarath calls for surrender and readies an attack in case they don't.
Yellow charge vs Arbarath AC 13: 1d20 ⇒ 11 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
Green charge vs Arbarath AC 13: 1d20 ⇒ 20 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Green crit?: 1d20 ⇒ 15 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Blue charge vs Grok AC 14: 1d20 ⇒ 4 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (5) - 1 = 4
Purple charge vs Grok AC 14: 1d20 ⇒ 17 damage: 1d6 - 1 ⇒ (4) - 1 = 3
Not only do they not surrender, but more kobolds start coming out of the surrounding woods!
Arbarath quickly obliterates the kobold nearest her when it steps forward to attack. The other nearby kobold also charges the enlarged barbarian. AoO vs Yellow from Arbarath
The new kobolds join the fray, each charging forward to engage the enlarged warriors. One slips under Arbarath's defenses, drawing blood. Another two surround Grok, threatening him from both sides. AoOs vs blue and purple from Grok
Round 2 (bold may act!)
Grok (-3 hp?; enlarge person 8 rounds; AoOs vs blue and purple pending)

Apologies for the delays. Work got in the way
Seeing his foes vanquished only to be replaced by more, Grok is almost pleased. Using his training he fends off his attacker.

AoO Purple: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Seeing that one of the kobolds has crossed his defense, Grok drops his longspear, "Rejoice, for your redemption is at hand!" draws his greatsword and strikes at the standing kobold.

Grok destroys one of the kobolds with his longspear as it rushes up to him but misses as he tries to catch the other. No worry, though, as his greatsword is at hand and is just as deadly; a focused strike does it. Blue and purple dead
Mordana tries to conjure a splash of acid into one of the kobold's faces, but Arbarath's enormous form is too much to target around.
Xusius catches one of the kobolds with a scorching ray before it can join the fray. Green dead
Arbarath kills one of the kobold's threatening her with a massive overhand strike. Yellow dead
Cyan spear vs Arbarath AC 13: 1d20 ⇒ 8
Pink rapier vs Grok AC 12: 1d20 ⇒ 6 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
The last kobold attacking Arbarath drives its spear at her ankle, but can't connect.
Another kobold, this one much better outfitted, comes out of the woods and charges at Grok with a rapier held confidently and a bloodthirsty cry. He slips through Grok's defenses and draws blood quickly. AoO pending vs pink dashed; also, I have your AC at 14 with enlarge person, but you show 12; am I missing something?

Grok's frightening tusked grin reveals his orc nature, his reverence to battle and violence fueling his blows. Foe after foe are his blessings, combat his great redeeming prayer.
As the new kobold appears from the jungle and strikes with his rapier, Grok laughs "Ha! Late to the ball with that toothpick, princess?!". he swings his greatsword with unexpected skill and slashes at the kobold, his blade craving flesh.
Blood from his wounds begin to take a toll on him, causing his grip to slip. Gorum praises battle, not suicide tactics, so he takes a backstep, goading the kobold in, and bangs his fist on his chest.
His eyes darken and become red and his voice deepens. and his tusks grow longer in size and he growls "You have two choices! Die fleeing or die by my sword!".
The AC was at -2 because of the initial charge, I didn't put it back, now fixed.

AoO Attack dashed pink Kobold: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21dmg: 2d6 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (4, 5) + 8 + 2 = 19
Depending on his path, Arbarath might get an AoO.

Move Action: 5 foot step

GM Zin
Will DC 13: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Grok throws his greatsword out in a wide arc to catch the incoming kobold, and just barely catches the nimble little guy! Grok steps back and casts a spell to send the kobold fleeing, but the kobold brushes the spell off with no consequence. No AoO from Arbarath; it picked a more careful route to Grok than that. This one clearly has a more tactical mind than you've seen from the others.
Mordana has better luck with her acid, conjuring and throwing a small glob of the stuff onto the kobold's arm.
Xusius keeps a wary eye on the kobolds as he begins untying one of the miners. "No!" the man answers, terrified. "We're all that's left; they're beasts! Bloody beasts! They've been sacrificing us to who knows what; it's all gibberish! I can't understand anything they say. Get us out of here!"

Cause Fear: The affected creature becomes frightened. If the subject succeeds on a Will save, it is shaken for 1 round. Creatures with 6 or more HD are immune to this effect. Cause fear counters and dispels remove fear.
The dashed pink Kobold is shaken for 1 round: -2 to atk, saves and skill checks

Thanks for the reminder Grok
Arbarath destroys the tiny kobold in front of her with a simple slash of her blade.
rapier vs Arbarath AC 13, staggered: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9 damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
The last kobold turns its attention to the other enlarged warrior, stabbing Arbarath with its little rapier. It makes getting past her defenses look simple, poking the barbarian's ankle leaving her with a sharp pain.

Neither Mordana nor Arbarath are able to hit their mark; the nimble little kobold proves too elusive to pin down so easily.

Xusius, seeing that Arbarath and Grok are wounded remarks while he unties a miner, "Zou need to use ze healing steeck een case more attack. Eef ze are ze last miners, we need to get moving. Eet's a long way to ze fort."

Grok's spell winds down and he spits a mouthful of blood on the floor. He sheathes his Greatsword, pulls out his dagger to cut the bindings on the rest of the miners, his callloused hands caked with his blood and of the kobold's

"He that guy that got these kobolds all riled up? Yeah, heard of him; those men's lives are on him!" he spits, motioning towards his fallen comrades on the stairs.
"You got anything more to do? It's quiet not, but t'aint gonna stay that way. We need to go!" Indeed, the forest around you has grown eerily quiet.

Xusius works to free the last miner and asks, "Do eeny of zou have eenyzing we need to get from ze kobolds? Eef not, we need to move away from zis place."
He looks around at the place with some curiosity. "What ees zis place eenyway? Eet looks old. I don't zink ze kobolds built eet."
GM Zin
The dead bodies laying around are all clearly miners; you don't know what Sharrowsmith looked like specifically, but he described as much older than any of these, who are all obviously in the prime of their working age.
Grok notices a backpack laying against the altar. Within are spoiled rations, a potion of some sort, and a field notebook. See Slides for Player Handout #2

Lets go. These are beyond Sarenraes grace. He looks ruefully at the dead bodies May Pharasma guide your spirits to their proper home Then he motions for the miners to leave and looks to follow
GM Zin
You take what you can of Sharrowsmith's possessions and make your way--with the remaining miners in tow--on the treacherous hike back to Fort Bandu.
The miners are sullen and a little ungrateful. You get comments like "Shouldn't 'a needed rescue if that Pathfinder hadn't riled those kobolds up," whenever you press them on the issue.
Praetor Sylien is more conciliatory, praising you for rescuing any of the miners at all. "This should, too, demonstrate the Fort's strength, and make them think twice about further raids."
And that's it, folks!
This game was reported before the end of GameDay; I will work on Chronicle sheets for you today. You will only be receiving 1 PP; there was a threshold of saving 7 miners to earn both PP for this scenario.
I plan on running Part 2 of this connected series, 6-14, but will be taking a short break. I have a long vacation coming up starting this weekend and won't start the next part until after I get back. Look for a recruitment around the weekend of 11 Dec--or maybe the Monday after--if you would like to play in the next session. I'll be using the OSP for rewards, so I can't reserve any spots; just keep an eye out.
