"Let's drop this little one and start negotiations with the opposing party!"
DuQuesne keeps shooting yellow:
Bluff to Feint as part of Clever attack: 1d20 + 12 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 12 + (2) + 1 = 29
DC: 10 + your opponent’s Sense Motive, or 15 + 1-1/2 × the opponent’s CR
If successful, he’s flat-footed to everyone’s attacks, otherwise, only to DuQuesne’s
Liquidator Disintegrator Rifle vs. flat-footed EAC: 1d20 + 11 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 11 - 4 = 25
Acid damage nonlethal: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Let's keep getting these things out of the fight.
Full attack - Attack with Sheet Lightning Pistol (Line Weapon), at Yellow
Attack versus EAC, first against Yellow: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 9 - 4 = 25
Non-Lethal Electricity Damage from the Sheet Lightning Pistol: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Attack versus EAC, first against Yellow: 1d20 + 9 - 4 ⇒ (6) + 9 - 4 = 11
Non-Lethal Electricity Damage from the Sheet Lightning Pistol: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Adding Crit damage for the Natural 20
Non-Lethal Electricity Damage from the Sheet Lightning Pistol: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Never mind the second attack anyway. The weapon is Unwieldy, so no full attacks. My apologies.

Hellih keeps on circling around the enemy and takes a shot
Attack@yellow circle vs EAC, non-lethal: 1d20 + 10 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 10 - 4 = 17

DuQuesne

"That worked. Now tie them up - be careful with the wings! - and let's begin the first contact procedures."
DuQuesne puts a new battery on his rifle.
Hellih/HK
|
"As much as I love to talk with creatures from other worlds, do we have to? We have the crate, we can just leave them here." says Hellih thinking about all of the questions that the creatures could be asking
"What is beyond that star, how many other worlds like this are there? If we destroy this world out of our greed, can you come and take us to another world so that we can do it again?" and he shivered.
DuQuesne
|
"For starters, they can lead us to their tribe and we can bargain for whatever weapons they have there - and also indicate where they found other crates, perhaps we can establish a pattern of distribution. Logistics is always key!"
Yith-Naarin
|
Yith begins to gently, yet firmly, tie them up. Making sure to keep some distance between the two opposing 'sides.'
"We need information on other crates and the warring situation overall here. We may as well start by talking to these beings. Once they wake up and are in a less hostile mind frame."
DuQuesne
|
DuQuesne sets up his Tetred Certified Translator, though it seems hardly useful for anything more than asking where the bathroom is.
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
I'll need some medicine checks or healing to wake the KO'd Kiirinta if you wish to "begin first contact procedures."
Yith gets the two groups disarmed and restrained at distances far enough to prevent clawing, biting, punching and kicking while DuQuesne gets his translator set up. Saivessa checks in over the comms. "Sounds like things got a bit heated but everyone is OK?"
Teka Teach
|
Teka nods in agreement as she slowly recovers from the battle. "DuQuesne and Yith are exactly right. If we are going to recover all the weapons left behind, we may need to understand what is going on here. I know I certainly didn't leave a positive first impression with either, but hopefully we can open up those lines of conversation. If we are going to make them give up these weapons, we may well need to understand why they are fighting because neither may be willing to give up this weaponry before the other side does. While I fought both sides here, I don't want to do that again if we can help it."
Carefully putting away her weapons Teka does acknowledge Hellih saying, "you are right though that they may have hard questions for us, but I think we are past the point we can avoid them. If we are going to fix the damage Datch has done we need to keep our heads up and stay strong."
Teka takes time to check the injuries on each of the kiirinta and their weapons.
DuQuesne
|
"It will be fine! We are established our dominance in combat - we have the upper hand. Now to display some mercy and they'll be right where we want. Ah, the good old days of negotiating with hostile customers..." DuQuesne seems lost in old memories for a bit.
"Does anyone have that starfinder symbol augmentation that goes under the skin? It'll cause quite the impression if in full display next to our crates!"
Teka has the bigger bonus in Diplomacy - DuQuesne is more of a bluffer
Nimh Starfarer
|
Sounds like a reasonable plan. We the Share language spell allow DuQuesne's translator to learn the language while you talk?
Nimh will be using Transfer Charge to make sure all his weapon batteries are full.
Teka Teach
|
"I do agree that an excellent plan. I can do my best to help speak to them. I certainly won't turn down anything else you wish to add. I assume we will be speaking to the the group of three first?"
DuQuesne
|
"It's better to split them up and get each point of view first - we can do a confrontation afterwards!" DuQuesne hides the one northern kiirinta behind the crate, out of sight from the others.
Hellih/HK
|
"We should build something for them. Something big and magnificent to make them remember us. Like... pyramids" Sorry couldn't help myself ;)
Hellih helps in waking the wounded. Auto Aid on medicine with +13
Yith-Naarin

Yith casts Share Language on one of them, one that looks more like a leader if we can figure that out.
She will make the smart decision to share a common language, like. er... common..
She will look at the being and say, "There, we can communicate now." and looks to Teka
Teka Teach
|
Teka responds to Hellih quietly, "I'm pretty sure their time with these weapons will be enough of a reminder. Although I would be happy to knit some sweaters if I were to leave something behind."
As soon as they are awake Teka does her best to sooth them and make slow motions in an effort to show the, generally, peaceful intent. "We don't want any arm to come to any of you. Please give us a moment and we can try to explain."
After a few moments she takes to introduce everyone by name before addressing the three, "those weapons you have were ours. Someone stole them from us and sent them here, intending they be used to cause as much horrible devastation as possible. We are here to take responsibility and fix that damage. First though I would like to know about each of you. Who are you?"
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 + 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 14 + (2) + 1 = 37
Throughout she does her best to make it clear that the safety of the Kiirinta are foremost at her thoughts and makes gestures to treatments done by Twich and Hellih to their wounds.

Nimh keeps and eye on the perimeter, in case one of the ones that got away comes back with friends.
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
They all seem to calm down a bit, and the one who understands common looks at the assembled group and mulls over Teka's opening statement. "So... you are emissaries of the war god? We have failed... we are failures! We have failed to secure the blessings for our tribe and must pay the price... we are loyal followers! You help us destroy the heretics and we shall not squander these gifts!"
Teka Teach
|
Teka resists letting out a dejected sigh as she gently waves her hands to dismiss the idea, although gives a minor glance toward Hellih as they begin professing their faith. "No. No dears. You are not failures and you ahve nothing to prove to us."
Leaving room for others to talk Teka asks, "could you please tell us why they are heretics? What have they done or believe?"
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
"They mock the gifts of the war god by defiling them! They are gifts to be used! We have received this divine bounty and will not squander it. What are you to the war god? Followers? Emissaries? Crusaders? You seek to claim the bounty for yourselves?"
Nimh notices a rustling in the undergrowth and moves to get a better look. A Kiirinta is approaching wearing attire similar to the northern contingent. This one is unarmed and appears to be uncertain about approaching given the sight of the captives.
Hellih/HK

'pyramids' wispers Android to Teka
"Look a question who we are is not that important. You can call use 'The Six Horeseman'. The fact that when you see a weapon you want to put it to use is a bit disappointing but very common among other alien races all living on different worlds. So I guess nothing is going to change here. What is important is that this weapon should not have gotten here, and we are here to take it away."
Says in a very emotionless tone.
Sorry I could not have snatched this opportunity to leave a cool name for us. 'Oh, that was the year that Six Horseman has come and snatched the sacred gifts of the gods. They rode fire beasts and the spears were spitting fire and cold.'

Nimh will quietly announce via our comm units, so that the prisoners can't hear"
Teka, we have another visitor from the North over here, but this one does not appear to be armed.
Nimh will keep an eye on the new Kiirinta, but not draw any of his weapons or make any overtly hostile gestures.
Yith-Naarin
|
Yith replies in a low voice on comms.
"Another one and unarmed. Interesting. If it is willing to communicate perhaps we can get both sides of this story."
Yith walks over and waves as pleasantly as a large Vesk can and waves the Kirrintia over. If it comes over, she will pantomime slowly reaching out to tough the being and if it seems receptive, will cast Share Language on it.
"Hello. We do not come to cause trouble, only to retrieve stolen weaponry. Who are you and what can you tell us of the conflict here?"
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
The three bound Kiirinta look as though Hellih has suggested something as vile as the sort of food often served from grimy carts down in the spike.
"You would be given a divine boon and not put it to use as the war god intends? That's.... unspeakable! A heresy!" They begin chattering in their native tongue, and while you can't understand it, the intent is quite clear. They seem to be in a frantic prayer, likely expecting their imminent execution.
~~~
Off on the other side of the clearing, Yith and Nimh recognize the approaching Kiirinta as one of the combatants from earlier. She consents to the spell, clearly recognizing it. "You fight well! Strong! We seek allies to claim all of the boons of the war-god. We yield this bounty to you as it has been earned in the manner befitting such a blessing. I wish to recover our fallen comrade and the blessings he possessed."
Saivessa chimes in on the comms, obviously hearing most of what's going on. "This doesn't sound good... You may need to play along if you're going to get the weapons back without bloodshed, but try to avoid fueling a holy war. I don't see any sign of communications going off-planet but it's a safe bet that Datch is planning to document the aftermath at the very least."
Teka Teach
|
Teka gives silent nod to Nimh as she considers the Kiirinta traveler. Seeing Yith address that stranger Teka continues to speak to the bound Kiirinta. "I assure you that we won't hurt you dears. Just stay put for a moment and you all will be fine."
Teka turns to her comms to check the message as she converses with the rest of the Starfinders, "what how do you think we should solve this tangle. We may want to accept any offer of help as it will be difficult to locate the rest of the weapons. Then what should we tell these three? I think we should disarm them and let them go. Maybe I could try to see about convincing them that these weapons aren't gifts from their god. "
Nimh Starfarer
|
Nihm replies quietly on the Comm to keep the Kiirinta from hearing.
Letting these three go may alert whoever has the weapons to our presence. We need to be cautious.
Addressing the Kiirinta who approached unarmed from the Northern group:
You wish to recover the "Blessings" from your Comrade. Do you mean the weapons they possessed? and the indicates the Rocket Rifle.
DuQuesne
|
"Very primitive minds - I'd suggest trying to convince them that the weapons are ours, but it is a test. Giving them up will turn the bigger reward, access to the stars!" DuQuesne points up.
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
The lone Kiirinta looks sheepishly at Nimh. "Erm... yes. Although... if you are willing to discuss terms of an alliance with our leader I could leave the... blessings in your care as they were earned by combat as befitting a blessing of war." She looks closer at her fallen comrade and then back at Nimh. "He yet lives? May I tend to his wounds?"
The words come out very awkwardly as it seems like her thoughts don't translate well to modern common.
Once you're decided on a course of action, go ahead and give me a diplomacy, intimidate or bluff check depending on what route you are taking.
Teka Teach
|
Teka takes a thoughtful pause as she looks toward DuQuesne she quietly messages back, "I wouldn't think too lightly of them, they were able to puzzle their way through the weapons. Just because they don't have starships doesn't mean their minds aren't agile. You should be careful else we very well might get caught in a tangle of wires."
I'm good with following on the attempt to bluff the northern Kiirinta if we want to go with that plan. I would be willing to continue Diplomacy, but this plan seems reasonable. What would we do with the southern Kiirinta?
Hellih/HK
|
I am fine with Teka's plan bluffing the northern Kiirintas.
He speaks in Akitonian (understood by everyone except Yith), and then translates into Vesk language
"Both of the groups seem fixated on the god of war. We probably could use it to our advantage. Organize a competition for who should get the guns, in which we would participate."
Suggests android
Since the creatures speak Common, Hellih will use other languages to discuss plan without sharing it with captives ;)
Nimh Starfarer
|
Nimh will also keep the planning in other languages, Akitonian in particular and someone who speaks Vesk can pass along to Yith
I agree with the Bluff pan, as I think it has the best chance to let us get the weapons with a minimum number of casualties. I am also not the one to carry out the plan, as my best way to bluff is to stay silent.
Teka Teach
|
Teka looks toward Hellih as she nods with agreement, "I would be careful how you word it Hellih. We should be careful not to agitate them into more fighting when they are already pointing their weapons at one another. Getting the weapons is only one part, as Nimh says, to minimize how many people are hurt."
Hellih/HK
|
Hellih can auto-aid on bluff with his hireling. But I think DuQuesne has the highest bluff level. I think someone just need to do anything, as agreeing to a course of action in PBP is super-hard ;)
DuQuesne
|
I think I lost the thread somewhere, but here's the bluff roll - just feed DuQuesne his lines!
While she isn't jubilant a the idea, working with the comments of others Teka suggests privately, "we are warriors who have traveled far to get here. We are interested in an alliance, but we would need to have a chat with your leaders. That way we could take a proper judgement of your tribe and determine if you are worthy."
As to the prisoners Teka suggests, "While I do think that you are right Nihm that releasing them would release knowledge of us, but unless you think you can take them as prisoners, we should take the gear and let them go. Leaving them tied up here exposes them to a few too many dangers of the area."
| The Bot Behind the Screen |
Saivessa chimes in on the comms. "Hopefully they'll learn something from your mercy... or at least remember it when you get a chance to talk to their leaders."
After speaking with DuQuesne and Teka, the envoy from the northern group nods vigorously. "Yes, yes! A chat with our leader! I can take you to her!"
The southern tribe seems confused as they are disarmed without being... dispatched. They show a visible confusion at this and are clearly having a difficult time reconciling your clear position as faithful warriors with the act of sparing their lives. At the very least, the fight seems to have been completely taken out of them.
The envoy finally puts out her hand to shake. "I'm Talvi! I can lead you to our encampment. Our leader is Nerii, chief of the Builders. I'm sure she'll grant you an audience as soon as she hears about your skill."
She gives you time to secure the weapons cache, and all of the weapons from the captives and her injured compatriot, then leads you on the trail to the north for a short hike to a small encampment, consisting of intricate huts made out of knotted vines and leaves.
As you walk through the encampment, many of the kiirintas gather around to stare, as they have never seen creatures like any of you before. Talvi leads you to meet with the leader of the Builders in the central square of the camp. Several of them point out your starfinder insignia and chatter excitedly in their native tongue. Talvi introduces you to Nerii in her language as well, then nods to you. "Nerii passes on her apologies for the hostilities and welcomes you to our encampment in the name of the war god." Nerii holds up what is clearly intended as a holy symbol... bearing the Starfinder insignia.
Bloody hell. Any thoughts on how we disestablish the Society as the War God here?
Talvi, Please convey our appreciation for your people's hospitality. You mentioned an alliance?
