James strikes, followed by a crit from squash that drops the rot! Squash critting yet again is on-brand for this game.

When the final infection is destroyed, Jadirahx sighs and slumps down into a restful state. While the wounds on her hide remain open, they stop oozing purple fluids. Over the course of the next hour, the fungal blooms along her scales also dissipate. She lies still for several minutes, too echausted from her recovery to do mote but gathering strength to impart her wisdom.

She attempts to stand tall as she begins, succeeding after an attempt. Thank you for healing me, Pathfinders. This was at great risk to you, and I will not forget.

I will impart my wisdom now. Listen closely.

In the ancient days of the cyclopes, many of their kind fell into the worship of demons. These worshippers served the demon lord Urxehl, the master of storms and father of trolls. They attempted to summon Urxehl onto Golarion, but the coming of Earthfall stopped their efforts.

The dragon breathes deeply for a few moments before continuing, getting used to the feeling of her cleansed lungs again. My ancestors guarded the Finadar Forest for ages, though the corruption that overcame me diverted my attention from the legacy of those demon worshippers. Your society’s stumbling into Min-Khadaim unleashed an ancient spirit—one instrumental in the rituals to summon forth Urxehl.

This spirit now roams the world freely, possessing the body of one of your own. I have monitored this through one of my many relics, scrying the spirit’s actions as best I can. Though it hides the full extent of its schemes from me, I have caught glimpses of the body the spirit possesses. The body is known to you as… Drandle Dreng. DUN-DUN-DUN!!

Urwal is immediately startled by the revelation. He swears the you to secrecy on this information as he plans to contact his superiors about these events. Such startling news could send panic throughout the Society, so Urwal wants the you to keep this information contained for now. Please, swear to this for the good of the Society.

Jadirahx continues… I understand that Dreng is of some importance to you. Though his form seems to be entirely combined with that of the corrupting spirit, his will yet remains underneath. He cannot save himself, but take heart—he is not beyond rescue. To purge the demonic force, you must call upon the aid of a spiritbinder of considerable skill. I have seen the children of the godcallers of old walking these forests. Perhaps they can show you the way.”

Playerd Dirge of Sakoris on this PC, or DC 15 Society:
“the children of the godcallers of old” refers to the Farheaven Clan, a clan from the land of Sarkoris that was displaced to Iobaria and with whom the Pathfinder Society has aided and collaborated on several occasions.

Ionic gives a blink as he realizes there's no more rot or dangers to fight. "Was a bit easier dan expected. Well handled everyone. Elixia, ya healed and handled de ritual beautifully. Squash, as always ya made dings go squish. And James, ya hit harder dan a golem."

He takes a deep breath and settles into a good sitting position and rests for a few moments, as Jadirahx rests. He listens to the revelations of the dragon with an impassive face. "Had heard 'bout gettin' to dose ruins. Didn't hear about an evil force. Dendle Drang is ... important and tied to many many dings. Should be careful about dis."

Elixia, exhausted, uses her wayfinder of rescue along with her medicinal skills to help everyone once the more aggressive parts of the ritual end. "That was a little more...disgusting...of an atmosphere than I'm used to, but with a team like you three, I knew you'd be able to do it!"

The revelation of Dreng makes her jaw drop open, leaving her speechless!

I played a bunch of PF1 and also 2nd edition 2-01...you're kidding me! That was Dreng!?

And how long of a journey will it be for that walk? It worth it, but we might have to prepare.
