Not feeling good tonight. Horrible headache that I haven't been able to get rid of for weeks, and now I'm starting to run a fever. It's only 100.4 right now, so I'll just check it again in the morning. I think it's cuz of the new meds Dr. Amy put me on.

Well, the fever has been bouncing around all night. I kept waking up sweating.

Since my fever hit 100.4 last night, I can't go to work today. I'm gonna try to get some more rest, and then I'm gonna call Dr. Amy when I get up.

Yeah I'd suggest talking to your doc, and of course, they'll probably want you to get tested for Covid before going back.

Ms. Casey got a home test kit for me yesterday with 2 tests in it, and dropped it off at the house for me. I did the test yesterday afternoon and it was negative.

So, how's it going since you went back to work?

Not too bad. Occasional bout of nausea on account of how strong the antibiotics are, but it seems to be healing well. Tired more easily of course but getting back into the swing of things.

Had a doctor's appt that took hours, today. Only one working in my dept. tonight.

Yeah, Improving daily. Still have a few layers of skin to grow back and the remnants of some of the blisters to fall off but it's getting there. I'm actually working on a response post btw.

Okay, just wanted to see how you were doing. Did they ever figure out what could have bit you to cause that?

Well, I heard from my cousin. The court appointed Ms. Laticha as my Uncle's permanent guardian. As soon as they find a good facility in Oregon, and get the funding for his care set up, they will move him so that he will be closer to his grandkids, and other family that actually care about him.

I can not tell you how much relief I am feeling right now.

Had a doctors appt today. Verdict us that I'm pretty much healed as dar as the foot injury. Still tender for a bit as new skin is still developing. Body still needs to recover from 4 days of continuous strongest antibiotics possible.

Waiting for results of bloodwork to see if X has lyne disease from a tick bite.

And Sivan is having emergency dental work as we speak because a crown pipoed off while eating a salad.

And I have to work tonight.

So he's negative for Rheumatoid arthritis and Lyme disease, which were the big concern. We'll have to get his knee x-rayed next. Sivan has another dentist appt tomorrow.

Well, that's some good news then. Hope everything turns out alright, and that they're able to help X, and that Sivan is able to finish up at the dentist with minimal discomfort.

We haven't heard from Bubba since he got on the bus to go home Tues morning, and we're really worried about him. I know he still wasn't feeling very good, but I hope he got home okay. We just want to know that he's okay.

I still feel like crap but I'm fine otherwise. Took more time off work and spending a lot of time sleeping.

Yeah, we've been sleeping a lot too. We didn't wake up today until after 2pm, I started one load of laundry and feel wiped out again.

Listen, I know you're not used to getting sick or seeing a Dr, you probably don't even have a Dr, but if you're still really congested you should really see a Dr and they can give you something to help get rid of all that crud, especially if you're still coughing.

I'm not trying to be your mom, or sound like a nag, I just want to make sure you're taking care of yourself to the best of your ability. I'm so sorry you got sick and felt so crappy for your birthday.

Keep drinking lots of fluids, not just soda, and increase your vitamin C intake, and I don't mean by drinking more Mt. Dew.

It's supposed to rain here all this next week, and the humidity in the damp air isn't helping us much....but we're still taking the medicine and drinking lots of fluids to try and get rid of this junk. Henry still doesn't completely have his sense of taste back yet, and it's probably gonna be another week or two before we're actually over it.

Just please take care of yourself Bubba, and let us know how you're doing when you can. Hope you get better soon, and I'm sending you get better soon hugs since I didn't get to give you any while you were here.

It's a valid worry. Covid isn't a joke. We're taking a mini vacation, at a hotel for a couple of days (a bit is a make up for me being in the hospital for the vacation we planned)

Yeah, at work today Jason and Evette were kind of coughing a little, well Ms. Evette is an older lady and she smokes and coughs quite a bit anyways...but, Jason was talking about being cold and saying that I contaminated them. *rolls eyes* He's so weird.

I'm sorry you guys weren't able to go on your planned vacation, but I'm glad you get to at least get away for a little bit.

How is your leg doing? Did they ever figure out what bit you? I was wondering if maybe it was a spider or something since it went necrotic. It doesn't really matter what it was at this point I guess, as long as it's healing and you're okay.

Oh my God....well I'm so glad you got medical help right away. Are you doing better now?

Yeah. The area's still sensitive and if I walk on it for too long I start feeling it, but otherwise okay. Still not up to my usual stamina, but that's slowly coming back.

Have a cardiologist appt this week just to get that checked out and cleared.

My Boobear loves me though and since he doesn't have to be at work until 9, he's going to pick up my phone from the branch that I left it at, and bring it to me at the branch that I'm at tomorrow before he goes into work because hims loves me. :o)

I'm sorry if I sound like a repetitive nagging mom, but when you're someone I consider family, me worrying about you is just a side affect that comes with me caring about you. I just can't help it. My mom said I was a natural born worrier, and I live up to that.

I think this is low on his priority list if he's still feeling bad.

I originally planned this to be an anthology of stories, where you'd deal with one thing like the goblins and then move on to something unrelated. I thought that this would make the game a bit more interesting, but I'm finding it hard to stay invested in it. We've lost two players so far and I'm realizing that the magic of Zahvroma isn't something I can recreate at the drop of a hat. I wanted to be more hands-off with NPCs and, when that stopped being an option, I considered having a rotating cast of NPCs to join you. Long story short, I don't think this is going to work out the way it is.

It worked better when you had a home to come back to, people who you grew to know and love and something that served as the roots for your characters to build off of. If you like the setting, I'll try and rework it. If the setting isn't capturing your attention, then I'm open to running a different sort of game. Maybe Vampire: The Masquerade would be a decent option since it's more story focused.

I wasn't that concerned about him posting. I was just trying to see if he's okay. I feel bad because he got on those busses to come see us, and in doing so, ended up getting sick on his way here. He felt awful the whole time he was here, and I feel like I ruined his birthday. I know that probably sounds irrational or crazy or whatever, but I just can't help feeling that way. Just like I can't help worrying about someone that's like a brother to me. I care more about you guys than my own blood kin, but that's cuz they treat me like garbage and with obvious disdain.

As for the game, it might not be Zahvroma...but nothing ever will. That doesn't mean this isn't a good or interesting game. Personally, I didn't come into this game with any preconceived ideas of what it would be like. Right now we're just doing what adventures do, and going wherever there's trouble to try and help. It's okay that we don't have a permanent home right now, but things could change.

The point is, you still tell good stories. I thought the goblin story with the magic tower and everything was pretty good. It's just that a lot of stuff happened that kind of slowed the momentum of the story down. Mark got that bite that resulted in him ending up in the hospital, the three of us got really sick....sometimes stuff just happens, but that doesn't mean that your ideas aren't good ones.

I'm okay with the setting if everyone else is okay with it. Ultimately, you need to enjoy running the game, as much as we enjoy playing it. If you're not enjoying it, then change it or try something different.

I don't really care what we play, as long as everyone is having fun....including you. :o)

I like the setting. I find the whole valley thing interesting. I wouldn't so much worry about making lightning strike twice. Every game is different

I thought the airport would be even more crowded than the bus so logically the odds should have been lower, but it is what it is.

If I remember right our previous game had a pit of a rough start anyway. Pretty sure we lost at least 3-4 people and had to retcon a tpk before things really picked up.

I know, I think I just worried about you so much cuz I know you don't get sick that often, so I was concerned how badly you would be affected by it. We are for sure coming out to you next year though. We'll figure out what to do about the animals.

I can say that I'll try not to worry so much, but I can't help what my brain does a lot of the time.
