Slag Blades: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Nectanebo recognizes the oozes as shard slags, dangerous creatures with much sturdier defenses than more common ones. In his haste, his mind slips past any grasp of further knowledge that what has already been displayed. Ooze type and traits.
The other slag grows a full complement of blades and flails at Kahwen and the skeleton next to it. With one slash it explodes the servant, before two more cruel slashes burn into the rogue. Thankfully, the final swings strike only the stone floor. However, the burning heat is sickening, causing Kahwen to stagger back.

Feeling on his last legs, he chooses the better part of valor, for the moment, doing a standing backflip to get away from the creature then moving as quickly as he can to get some other Pathfinders between him and the beasts, for the moment.

Then, just as quickly, the machines tendrils retreat, freeing Kahwen from the embrace. A shimmering rift opens in space, hovering just a few inches above the goo-covered floor.
Assuming everyone performed their healing as Kahwen did, moving right along.
The trip through the shimmering portal is instantaneous and leads to the sterncastle of a black-hulled ghost ship. Though an icy wind blows the tattered remains of the ship’s useless black sails, some other force seems to push the vessel through a churning gray sea. Overhead, the sky is full of unrecognizable stars and an enormous white moon. To starboard, the gray sea is vast and endless. Several hundred yards to port, a single bleak rock, studded with strangely proportioned architecture, rises from the sea. A brass plaque mounted on the mast behind the ship’s wheel is inscribed with the name Voracious.
Behind, the portal appears to remain open. Nothing stirs on the deck, while it is obvious that the longboat on the deck has rotted to uselessness. A strange, hollow piping echoes from below decks.
As you take in the strange sights, an oppressive feeling descends upon you all, especially on Kahwen.
Kahwen is taking a -4 to all mental-attribute based checks, while the rest of the part is only -2.
