Helm (Pilot)
Del struggles to get the bloated cargo ship to follow her directions, but does manage to outfly the competition. Jaraduk takes a potshot at the encroaching wounded ship but is thrown off by a quick turn.

Jaraduk Gunnery AoO: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11 Even the bot has your luck.
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5) = 11

Gunnery
Guess?'s encouraging words ringing in his ears, Jaraduk finally locks on to the wounded ship, firing a bolt directly at the vesk cockpit. Unfortunately there is a hiccup in the system and the charge is small. Thankfully Strek steps in, connects a few recently chewed through wires, and boosts the power! It flies through the skies above the small planet, powerful enough to take the enemy ship out of the fight... then hits their shields and flickers out harmlessly. But then you discover where all the power went as, with a touch of panache, Akh fires the light particle into the side of the enemy ship and it flashes with a series of small explosions. The vessel begins to list to the side, powerless.

A new growling voice hits the coms, speaking in vesk. "Your sacrifice will not be in vain." A nuclear missile flies through the space towards you, but it veers off and into the second BMC Mauler. The wounded ship splits in half, pieces flying into the void. You're unclear whether that missile was originally aimed towards you or if it had darker intentions.

Engineering
Melissa and Strek work together again, making the engines more reactive to Del's masterful touch and breathing a little life into the shields.

Helm (Pilots)

Piloting, Enemy: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22 sad day

Blue Flyby, DC 21: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (13) + 12 = 25

Del is faster than the lone vesk again, but their brashness surprises her. The Mauler's engines light up the blackness of space behind them and it heads right towards you in a high speed game of chicken. They cut right over your helm, just a few miles away, letting off a nuclear missile as they go.

Akh delivers an exasperated comment over comms to the remaining fighter "Please don't do that. We need those missile launchers you just blew up." Meanwhile, he hopes that Del will be able to maneuver the ship around to face the enemy fighter so he can deliver what he's hoping is the first of many hits.

Gunnery
As Akh mourns the loss of those sweet sweet missile launchers, Guess?'s words ring in Jaraduk's ears. The nuar's beef with the targeting system is cured as his cannon fire pops right through the Mauler's side shields to mar their hull. The enemy ship's missile collides against your front shields, the heavy blast breaking through the recently reinforced energy field to burn the paint off your hull.

While Akh and Jaraduk were learning the best way to turn over a new leaf, the enemy gunner was in training school. He fires a targeted nuclear missile which crashes through your front shields to hit your hull. The explosion flashes over your power core, draining it of some juice and sending warning signs across Stek's screens. It also damages the turning mechanism of Jaraduk's turret. -2 to both

I don't remember shifting the second gun to the turret, but it's been a while since we did a refit.

Akh reorients the forward gun as the fighter zips by under the Last Chance. He slaps the side of the console in a futile attempt to get the display to stop going all fuzzy, then fires, possibly into the darkness of space if there does not end up being an enemy fighter in view.

The ship info on Slide 2 is current; I just need to update the AC. We have one LPC in Forward, and one on the Turret. Putting a second on the Turret was too expensive.

Strek stretches his arms in different directions to work independently on two different systems, morphs a leg into an arm to finish off this sixpack of Slurm, and then morphs his other leg into an arm so he can buckle his seat restraints.

"Del, here's some juice.. I mean engine juice.. wait, no that's.. let's keep some distance between us an' them in case they got an explosive exit planned!"

Though Jaraduk and Guess? do their best, the nuar's shot goes just over the enemy ship's wing. The enemy's lasers hit the Last Chance's shields just moments after Strek raises them, splashing energy into the sky.

The enemy ship turns tightly in place, coming at you head on once again. The vesk voice comes back over the com again, this time screaming at full volume. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" After a few seconds, Guess? cuts the channel. The map is looking messed up on my side, but that might be my connection. If I'm remembering the positions correctly, it should be able to pull a tight U-turn to run through your space again.
